  1. Hey woah that does look pretty good. Nice can you got there Timmy.
  2. And now the SKYRAY TOO! ITS TOO MUCH CLASSICAL GOODNESS I'm only human! Okay I learned my lesson...never again "gimmie gimmie"
  3. Hate to crash the Party, but our Strikefighters Big Week began with the releace of B-36, at least for militant radical fundamentalist fans of General Curtiss LeMay and Marshall Yevgeniy Savitskiy.
  4. I read an article once on the possible re-introduction of stuff like barrage balloons near important targets to stop low level aircraft. Strange.
  5. Yeah its a really smooth plane with great utility. As for the looks, I like to think a cross between F-80 and Hunter.
  6. Hey thanks Spectre. That is really AWSIM to hear stuff like this. mmm, here is Baugher on 111A:: I should look at that dedicated 111 website.
  7. J-32 walkaround, very basic ~> http://aircraftwalkaround.hobbyvista.com/lansen/lansen.htm Gotta be more out there. I don't know what version that is. Need to bone up on this one.
  8. Yeah, something like that. And maybe a Sidewinder or two on the wings or someplace.
  9. Hey Timmy, if you have not seen this...about 65% down this page, super detailed J-32 pylon and loadout options. ~> http://www.canit.se/~griffon/aviation/text/32lansen.htm I would forget the E. The sim is so lite on EW simulation...well, we can use an A, unless you have the time. You need help with FM?
  10. FB...well the one Ussian example I can think of is A-20 bomber turning P-70 night interceptor. So a B-58 fitted with the F-12 stuff mighta coulda shoulda woulda be called a new fighter name. Say, F-109 which according to Baugher was a name probably never used by USAF. F-109 ~> http://home.att.net/~jbaugher1/f109.html kct:: AIM-26, AIM-47, even AIM-9 MiGs like Zeros turn well at low speeds. Forget the MiGs, and Vietnam. I know what you are thinking. Just let them go. Czech out the PVO starting lineup for 1960s. Nothing turns "hard" -- as in low turnrates -- at high altitude if its moving very fast. Shucks, if they are forced to turn to avoid missile attack, they lose their one and only chance at their supersonic target.
  11. I've been thinking of using F-111 as SAC penetration fighter in the Siberian Sky campaign, as a low cost and more common alternative to F-12 and F-108. To get it into service faster, maybe use two J-75s? For a generation earlier, F-105 would make effective and faster escort fighter than F-101, at least until F-110 arrives. I've pretty much decided to use "F-110" instead of F-4 (LeMay for president, McNamara eternally tenured as university professor, etc...) B-58 could also be used until F-12 becomes available. What would that be called...FB-58?
  12. Wired behind the curve

Yep, no windows, no Buck Rogers.
  13. Yep. You missed it. Where were you? Its not working so good. We lost Suncolor added to sunward sky in clear weather after Patch 2008, and the red lensflares are for camera lens simulation only. Its complicated. That's why I selected very late twilight, where its not so bad.
  14. Working on twilight colours after Patch 2008.
  15. Working on twilight colours

  16. I often try to draw attention to the air warfare environment which has never been modelled in any of The Sims. I think TK chops off air warfare visual effects at about 20km max, a basic "dogfight" bubble distance for jetsims, less for WW2 -- Maddox cuts off grafix maybe 5 to 10 km. Even a non contested recon mission would be helped if the player could see other air war effects hundreds of miles away such as quoted here. This assumes a sim not overly player centric.
  17. My nucs grafix effects are pure grafix and must be used with weapons obtained elswhere that do have physical effects. However, the CombatAce download abstract or the included readme has tips on creating physical effects. Large yields well over 1MT are to be dropped from high altitude and slowed with parachute. Czech the weapons obtained elsewhere for physical effects and/or parachute descent. Cos there is none. Its not something you would hear from the cockpit. That, and I don't have sound on my computer. I have a stereo to JAM if I want to hear something. It helps me relax during the Dogfight woof woof You can maybe shoehorn in some nuc.wavs from another nuc mod.
  18. Kh-45

    Woha big missile thanks.
  19. uh oh what nuc effects?
  20. Ya'll fellas/fellattes may want to make future cockpit mirror bmp's a dark grey. TK moved away from blinding white mirror blanks for those not using mirrors, so they won't get blinded in night missions. I like to think TK saw the customers talking about the blinding white blanks on his forum, and changed methods to suit. TK really does respond BIG TIME.
  21. Like USN torpedoes in WW2, the Falcon may have suffered from PeaceTime Syndrome; a disease widely spread among Man's militaries. The Swedes vastly improved the Falcon so its said. For my Siberian Sky campaign, which will include large scale use of F-101A in the penetration fighter role -- (need this Voodoo thanks!) -- I may similarly upgrade Falcons, but more likely make wider use of Sidewinders for F-101A. At high altitude, the Sidewinder alone may demolish the otherwise high altitude superiority of Su-7s, MiG-17s, 19s, and 21Fs. The only way to find out is to finish the campaign and run some test simulations.
  22. F-101Awsim addition. Now to find out how AI fights in Voodoo and Noo Patch.
  23. Awsim stuff there. The crew compartment has 3D seats as part of the model. The skin for these seats is in the "-c" skin. The seat skins can be tweaked to desire. If you set cockpit view angles to +- 180 degrees, you can see the forward top turrets behind you turning round and round. You should be able to see MiG-15s closing from above and behind, and see the gun turrets blasting away at them. I have not tested this in combat so...maybe... If I recall, in this sim, fighters attacking bombers come from behind the tail so they may not be visible. But if they are above, or you pull up and look behind, it may be possible to see the gun battle behind you. I dunno.
