  1. In a previous build, I originally used WOE, but I couldn't find the patches preceding 083006 and ran into a few issues I thought might be patch related, which is why I tried WOV this time around. Are the final patches for WOE/V/SFP1 all-in-one or do I need the previous patches from '06, et al?
  2. Reckon I'll check that out. I vaguely remember instantly exploding being an issue with other airfield installs in the past...
  3. '92 you say? I think EA owes you some royalties... This was the Mig used in the strike package Boris would designate for (albeit, the Zero Hour mod incarnation). That was in '99. Nice bit of photoshopping on that first image. It looks pretty cool! No need for 4 intakes though.
  4. US Ship disabled by russian Electronical Warfare

I get the vague hint you may not believe this story...
  5. Awww, that's a shame. Cocas is a champ! Here's hoping he recovering nicely and kicking back!
  6. Something like this...? http://combatace.com/files/file/4952-squadron-editor-v06/ Don't know if this will work with SF2 though. I thought I saw one get released for SF2 a while back, but I can't seem to find anything.
  7. The only place I'm aware of it being available is here: http://cplengineeringllc.com/SFP1/ You'll have to sign up and it might take a little while for them to get back to you, but I know you can get it from there. Otherwise, if you ask Veltro really, really nicely, maybe...
  8. Autodesk is really putting a cramp in my style!

Autodesk are complete, f**king a$$holes!! They put a surcharge on EVERYTHING, it's unbelievable. They make money hand over fist and use anti-competitive behaviour to muscle consumers into paying their unbelievable demands or to do without. Since they have a monopoly on all their products here in Oz (ie, only they are allowed to sell any of their products, any secondary sales through retailers are considered illegal, as in pirated), at one point, I could have literally flown from Sydney to LA, grabbed a copy, and flown straight back, and I STILL would have paid less money than if I'd bought it here! The price difference for a 3DSM licensing key between here and the US was something in the order of $2500!! And that's a digital copy too, not an actual hard copy. They've made it so you can only use region-specific versions now, so any copies you buy overseas won't work in your region-- common practise was to get it from overseas due to the aforementioned price gouge. But if they discover you're not using their current version, they attempt to force you into compliance through disabling software/accounts (as I had experienced with a previous employer in 2011) or they have been known to issue cease and desists. They and their business model, are scumbags. I know it doesn't help you with your troubles with them, Colmack, but you're definitely not the only person to get screwed around with their products and their licensing system. I would recommend ANY 3D software that ISN'T an Autodesk product over their stuff any day (definitely Blender!). Most of their updates in the last few years have about as much difference as any of the EA Sports titles have had over the last decade (think NBA Live 2K4-2K9 for example), even if the product is (was?) quite good. But it's definitely not worth paying for with your first born son. Any other time, I might have sympathy when a company has their product pirated en masse like they do. but not these guys. Autodesk can collectively perch and rotate on my middle finger. Figuratively, of course. [/rant]
  9. T-50 catches fire

Couldn't hurt it. It might burn enough layers of fat off the plane to improve it's performance to begin resembling that of a fighter...
  10. Oh god, please don't! We dodged that F-104 bullet once before! Not again...
  11. Can you give us the deets, you know, for those of us who don't have logins with ED?
  12. I'm digging that intake that doesn't go anywhere.
  13. Greatest shot of all time...?

So if anyone was watching England vs Peru the other night, you might have seen this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gCnGcgGIIj0 Check the distance on this!
  14. Su-25 over Ukraine ?

You guys must have some great eyesight to be able to ID it as either Russian or Ukrainian. All I saw was a dark Su-25...
  15. Su-34

Yeah, the one floating around was completed without the original author's permission (or something along those lines). There was another in development aside from Blackbird's, but it's hard to know whether they'll be completed.
  16. Iraqi F-16D First flight

I dunno, selling Block 52 F-16Cs/Ds and AIM-120C-5s to Pakistan was very likely a worse decision, given their duplicity and their close relationship with the US's biggest (arguably) rival. Name a neighbour next to Iraq who also has a very tight relationship with China.
  17. Development of this has taken 6 years so far? Well, we know FC's stealthing is working perfectly!
  18. Is that weapon station paired with another one, or when you're looking to mount munitions, are you able to mount that singular hardpoint?
  19. That'll usually load them with the flat, US styled twin IR rails that can look ungainly on certain, usually smaller aircraft. There's also the Soviet, the APU62 (or something akin to that) if you want to mod the loadout.ini so it can be carried via that, somewhat slimmer rack (although the AIM-9 fins might have some model collision, but there are no issues with using them). There are also the 2BR twin bomb rack and the TER racks that can be used to mount air to air missiles with no issues, but all of these racks need to be named as the rack type in the loadout.ini, otherwise it's default to the US one by default.
  20. Cool Ghost Recon Alpha movie

    Bugger.
  21. I've had this p.o.s. hijacker attack my wife's system after it installed itself somehow when she updated her video player. There was not a single mention of it during the installation process that either of us saw, but it's there nonetheless. It has a nasty habit of hijacking your browser to bring up the news.net page, which is a very dodgy, but seemingly legit looking news page. I had it on my system a while ago and eventually had to resort to a system restore to eventually wipe it from my machine. That one seems okay. However, after running scans, clearing out temp folders, uninstalling dodgy looking programs and doing a system restore on hers, it's persisting like digital herpes. A search seems to be futile, because almost every single link is a dodgy link suggesting a remover that's a different type of malware to remove the original. Has anyone ever come across this before and beaten it?
  22. Anyone ever dealt with news.net hijacker?

Oh crap, I forgot I posted this. No, I didn't have the option for reverting back to anything recent (they most recent was about two months before that particular incident. I got as much of it as I could through a malware program, but somewhere in the registry, something was changed and it was resetting my homepage to news.net every 24 hours or so. Tried to uninstall Firefox and re-install it. still happened. I ended up blocking the site and it's affiliates through my router config. Still a pain in the arse though!
  23. 'Oz', or 'Straya' are perfectly acceptable substitutes for our country's name. Here's a shot from inside the cabin (FB link, not 100% it'll work) https://scontent-b-nrt.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn2/t1.0-9/10167967_10152869944999988_6643635584504957457_n.jpg
  24. Although, probably unintentionally realistic if it takes place early 1945.
  25. Was he calling you USAFBLT...?
