Oh yeah... this. Hahaha!

Arguably, Oz and New Zealand should be on this list since neither of those nations existed when the Poms colonised them. The Maori and Aboriginal people faced invasion, persecution and genocide, but one could argue they weren't nation states at the time. Unless you mean that you guys have invaded Oz to attempt to secure Ramsey Street here (to secure the valuable source of Neighbours episodes) and NZ whenever you make feeble attempts to compete against those glorious spartan warriors, the All Blacks, only to be beaten to a bloody pulp and shipped over here to recuperate in Erinsborough and to beg for forgiveness for your folly from your messiah, Paul Robinson...

Parked Aircraft question
SayethWhaaaa replied to RogerSmith's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
Yeah, I get this too. Also, certain aircraft clip (check out C-5s parked in the default pattern). I've only been able to avoid it in campaigns by editing the availability of the aircraft or by determining the number of these aircraft in the flight and at which base they located. If you're talking about single mission, then I can't help you I'm afraid. Another thing that I've found that helps is to have the in-game camera point in the opposite direction. You'll still suffer from a little slowdown, but not as significant as before. This is impractical for landing, obviously. -
F-16A & LGB's?
SayethWhaaaa replied to slick cowboy's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
As long as you're carrying a laser designator pod, any aircraft in the game can be equipped with LG munitions. Whether it's a realistic depiction or not is another matter, depending on if you really care that much about what 'realistic' means. -
I am saddened and somewhat disappointed by the lot of you! None of you said anything about Disney potentially reviving the Ewoks... ...and Joss Whedon shouldn't have anything to do with Star Wars. He should be busying himself with a Serenity sequel that somehow involves Wash being brought back to life.

New experience ? (a message from prehistoric times...)
SayethWhaaaa replied to Derk's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I never get that. I just seem to get dead if the AI hits my aircraft at any point. Derk, what gameplay settings are you using? Just curious... -

Oh yeah... that. It's not over at Skunkworks either... -

I'm pretty sure there is one, possibly made by Veltro 2K. Have you tried the WWII section in the downloads section for SF1, or had a looksee in the SF2 aircraft downloads? -
This is a good thing Macelena. It shows you have empathy, that you're still human.

Not true. I know Mythbusters did a special on this, but I also remember a report sometime after the re-invasion of Iraq won a world cup qualifier and 11 people were injured from rounds returning to Earth after being fired into the air. 3 people died if I recall. A bullet dropped from shoulder height is also supposed to hit the ground at the same time as a bullet fire straight and level too, but that isn't necessarily so either...

Not to mention Hawaii. The first large waves from the Canadian earthquake are hitting the shores as I type this...

Their AIM-7 'AGMs' called 'J-DAMs'. Not to mention that the F-15s were either called 'F-22s' or the Pilot's name was 'F-22 pilot'. What a piece of s**t that game was. It doesn't even take 10 seconds to google F-22, F-15 or JDAM and get an image, yet this game had a budget in the millions and apparently, not enough time to correctly label stuff. So glad I didn't pay money for it!

Take it with a grain of salt, considering how the reports of STALKER's cancellation had been greatly exaggerated. It might show up in another 7 years of so...

Building Iran-Israel terrain
SayethWhaaaa replied to morteza1374's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mission & Campaign Building Discussion
Yeah... that's going to be a problem given the distances between Iran/Israel and the maximum allowable size of the playing field the Wings Over series, unless the real world dimensions were scaled down significantly. People like CA_Stary and Wrench would know much more about this, but it would essentially be a map of Iraq, Saudi, Jordan and possibly southern Syria with Iran and Israel on the absolute periphery. I doubt it's possible, but I could be wrong... -
Thank christ she didn't hit him with a gat, we'd be watching him die until Wednesday...

The future of First Eagles

Whoa... that's somehow disabled for FE2?! -
Bad News? Don't know if anyone noticed this....
SayethWhaaaa replied to eraser_tr's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
It's a niche genre, so he's not going to make any money out of it. He needs to change with the market, which is totally understandable. That said, I'd have bought 3 if it wasn't just a revamp of SF2. What other modular, easily moddable combat flight sims are there on the market that are so easy to get into? -
Republic F-105K Thunderchief S.1

Somehow seems really fitting with the UK anti-flash scheme. Nice work! -
Su-27 History and development
SayethWhaaaa replied to 76.IAP-Blackbird's topic in Military and General Aviation
They have a much better translator this time around. With the previous 18 part series of Wings of Russia series, their translator was much less adept at English, yet, this didn't detract from the series at all. I find these Wings TV series much better than that dramatised, generalised BS you get on History or Discovery. -
Saw this, figured it would get a chuckle in this crowd...

So... this new PLAAF stealth fighter...
SayethWhaaaa posted a topic in Military and General Aviation
So what do we know about it (J-21? J-31?) people? http://www.defensene...|text|FRONTPAGE Alls I know is that, if these photos circulating at the moment are legit and not more photoshopped crap that we often see, for once, this thing possibly looks like an F-22. Possibly... if legit. -
Dude, that last shot is AWESOME!!
