What If Screenshot Thread.......
SayethWhaaaa replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Screen Shots
This makes me want to start making a WCIII Hellcat V for the series... Gonna have to find what I did with my copy of 3DSM. -

Nevermind, it's been sorted out.

Had to stop a kid playing this (or something very much looking like this)in my Library today. It killed me to do it. I finally told him after about 10 mins of watching him kick mountains of ass.

If you haven't already, check out a manga series called Area 88. Some nice parallels with SF, it might help you out. -
That's odd. Yeah, site's definitely offline, so that's not a good sign...

Lockheed Martin/Mitsubishi F-35EJ

Beautiful skin nevertheless! -
I dunno. This entire campaign seems a bit suss... A lot of the details here have been glossed over or over-simplified. They never even touched on the Ugandan government forces' transgressions and use of child soldiers. Kony deserves a bullet in the face without a doubt, but I get the feeling like this campaign is going to everything short of something useful. Maybe a bunch of Facebook, Twitter and Tumbler rage, but not much else. Like I said, I dunno. I don't want to be a cynic, but...

That was really, bloody good Jon! Cheers for posting it!

Always liked the idea of a moddable Ace Combat. I'm not sold on the cell shaded textures though, never really been a big fan. Still, looking forward to seeing the end product.

No, ATAC had (I think) 3 in service, a couple of Hawker Hunters, some A-4Ns (not sure how many) and a family model Draken at one point. I've heard Kfirs can be quite difficult to fly at the best of times, requiring a lot of pilot attention. Poor guy.

That's exactly where my mind went, Mako!

The Odd Angry Shot is a great Vietnam movie. It's just a shame the more recent Australian war flicks like Beneath Hill 60 and (especially) Kokoda have been more stylised and melodramatic than factual. Dark Blue World is pretty good. Stalingrad and Das Boot were fantastic. As was The Blue Max (WWI).

You've got a thing for semi-digital/splinter camos lately, huh? Loving it, Spinners! -
Rafale wins Indian MMRCA contract
SayethWhaaaa replied to ghostrider883's topic in Military and General Aviation
How did I miss this?? lol Also, there's the situation of India's policy of not using weapons and systems that it's rivals use. Whilst Pakistan may not even be looking to have the Typhoon in service, Saudi Arabia does and the military ties between the two nations a very, very close. India was certainly in a difficult spot. They couldn't rely on the US aircraft for fear of shifting their over-dependence on military equipment from Russia to the US. Purchasing the Mig-35 was akin to the previous statement and the lack of reliability from Russian contractors in recent years was definitely a sour point. The Gripen, whilst very capable was short legged and the NG currently too risky. And the French had a history of over-charging for their equipment when compared with other Western equipment. It was a difficult choice to make but ultimately, this will work out nicely for them, particularly their home grown industry. -
I remember a huge hole when I was there in 2K6. So they've reopened the line from the Cortlandt station? I remember it being solid with rubble and people talking about possibly leaving it as it was.

Hoo-ly crap that nice terrain!

Yep, you can find it there in the Beta Models section I think. (http://cplengineeringllc.com/SFP1/). Only problem is that you'll have to become a member before you can download. -
