DL the Mirage Factory Mig 29 (no loadouts?)
SayethWhaaaa replied to meade95's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
That's because the names in the loadouts are the Western designations and the weapons packs usually use their normal designations. ie the AA-11 Archer is the Vympel R-73, the AA-10 is the R-27, and so on. The AA designation is mostly used in US and other Western defence circles, but usually not in the users/operator's nation. One way to get around it is to copy the weapon entry and use the AA-11 moniker. That way, instead of having to change all of the loudout entries to suit the weapons, by adding an entry that uses the name, all your aircraft should load with the correct weapons. Although you will double up on these weapons in the weaponsDATA.ini, it won't make much of a difference at all. For example. This is an example of the entry for mine in WOE gen 1: [WeaponData773] TypeName=R-73M1 <<---------------------------------Copy this entire weapons entry and simply rename these two with AA-11 FullName=R-73M1 Archer <<-------------------------- and here with AA-11 Archer ModelName=R73 Mass=105.000000 Diameter=0.170000 Length=2.900000 SubsonicDragCoeff=0.200000 SupersonicDragCoeff=0.370000 AttachmentType=SOVIET,CHINA,W_GERMANY,YUGOSLAVIA SpecificStationCode= NationName=SOVIET StartYear=1987 EndYear=2020 Availability=3 BaseQuantity=40 Exported=TRUE ExportStartYear=1991 ExportEndYear=2020 ExportAvailability=0 WeaponDataType=1 RailLaunched=TRUE RocketPod=FALSE Retarded=FALSE FinStabilized=TRUE SpinStabilized=TRUE HasGrowl=TRUE EffectClassName=SmallMissileEffects ReleaseDelay=0.000000 WarheadType=0 Explosives=7.400000 FusingDistance=1.000000 ClusterBomblets=0 ClusterDispersion=0.000000 GuidanceType=10 Accuracy=90 MaxTurnRate=48.000000 MaxLaunchG=9.000000 LockonChance=85 LaunchReliability=85 ArmingTime=0.500000 SeekerFOV=2.500000 SeekerGimbleLimit=60.000000 SeekerTrackRate=60.000000 SeekerRange=15000.000000 MinLaunchRange=300.000000 MaxLaunchRange=20000.000000 Duration=72.000000 CounterCountermeasure=30.000000 NoiseRejection=90.000000 CapabilityFlags=0x100004c0 LoftAngle=0.000000 DescentAngle=0.000000 MaxLoftAltitude=0.000000 CLmax=14.000000 MinFreq=0.000000 MaxFreq=0.000000 BoosterStart=0.000000 BoosterDuration=1.800000 BoosterAccel=46.810001 BoosterEffectName=MissileFireEffect BoosterSoundName=Missile BoosterNodeName= BoosterPosition=0.000000,-1.456000,0.000000 SustainerDuration=60.000000 SustainerAccel=0.375000 SustainerEffectName=RocketFireEffect SustainerSoundName=Missile SustainerPosition=0.000000,-1.456000,0.000000 InFlightEffectName=MissileInFlightEffect InFlightSoundName= ReleaseAnimationID=-1 EODisplayFlags=0 CEP=0.000000 Its very simple to do in the weapons editor. Wow... just saw the clip of the rebels celebrating around his corpse. Video's being played on Al Jazeera. This image will be seen everywhere shortly...

Al Jazeera's been reporting he's dead for a while now, but it's been unconfirmed so far.

Since when do they have a C-5? I didn't think there were any in service outside the USAF... http://www.defensenews.com/story.php?i=7643888&c=AIR&s=ASI Is this a mistake because it comes from a PAF spokesperson directly. It doesn't sound right...

Philippine AF C-5 Galaxy?
SayethWhaaaa replied to SayethWhaaaa's topic in Military and General Aviation
Swing and a miss. There is no C-5 designation in use, at least, not in regards to airlift. This was a mistake on the part of the official apparently... -
Ooops a jet pranged in China...

It's a nice sentiment, but unfortunately, this isn't always the case. -
Wow Widowmaker, I expected to see that kinda statement just... not from you. Nice. Very true too. Hey, didn't Stephen Colbert crunch the numbers and show that your vote (in the US) is worth something like 0.000094% or something along those lines?? I'm willing to bet things would be different if you had mandatory voting like we do here... Well, it's mandatory attendance. You just have to have your name ticked off at the polling station. From there you can chose to vote or leave and not vote.

Philippine AF C-5 Galaxy?
SayethWhaaaa replied to SayethWhaaaa's topic in Military and General Aviation
No, it's not a local convention like Spain. They refer to their C-130s by that designation and the Nomads by their original N-22 designation. In fact, I'm pretty sure there aren't any local designators for their aircraft like that. It just seemed like an odd thing to say for an Air Force official. -
GAF Canbarra Mk20 Bomb load
SayethWhaaaa replied to RAVEN's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
There's a series of books called "Australians at War", one of them outlines RAAF operations in Vietnam (can't remember the exact name off the top of my head) and has some nice shots of the Mk.20. I'm pretty positive I've seen snapshots in it with at least 4 or more of those underwing hardpoints loaded along with the wing tip hardpoints. I'll see if I can find it at work tomorrow as my branch has a fairly decent collection of Australian military history books. -

Can't be 2115. I have over 2300 in one of my installs. And that's worked fine for years... -
Adding CGR/LGR to a TLR or TER? (need Weapons Rack)
SayethWhaaaa replied to ianh755's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
When you load them, are you trying to select them as a trio from the weapons drop down menu or are you loading them as a trio from the loadout.ini? -

Try here dude. Su-47 -
I agree. He still thinks Great Britain is a leading world power. He is aware of the defence cuts that will ensure the UK will be a toothless tiger for the remainder of this decade and much of the next one, yeah? I mean, I know the Admiralty couldn't find their esteemed arses even after viewing a "How to find one's arse" tutorial video, but are we expecting too much of them by assuming the don't act like oafish, tactless dolts in public?

I've been making those for a a totally half arsed, and completely rushed Timeline-191 conversion for a while now. Although (aside from crappy skins and a lack of motivation to complete them) I could never decide on what I wanted to have each side flying. Two separate covers have B-17Gs flying for the USAAF and the CSAAF. I even made a version of the Confederate battle flag with the reds and blues swapped as described in the series. Yours look infinitely better than mine though, Wrench!
