  1. So Homefront... yeah.

    It isn't, like I said, Frontline was better, this just had a better PR team. I thought it might be an issue of too much happening at once that might be causing it to jerk up, but not at all -- That's why I used the BF2 example. I think I had 239/255(max) bots running on a 32 player map before and slowdown was pretty negligible compared to HF.I have to say though, it's bad when a game makes MoH look good! I think I'd be spending time polishing that turd rather than rushing it out next time.
  2. If someone had made one, it'd probably be posted already. I've been making a bunch of Su-35 skins, none of which I'll ever get the time to finish, all of which were made from one of the default Su-35 skins. They're relatively easy to re-colour or otherwise modify, so I say just go with that. It's probably the easier way to go.

From what I remember from a long time back, there's a way you can get an aircraft to regenerate it's fuel at a certain speed or throttle setting so you could, in theory, mimic a refuelling process if you could set your tanker to fly at a particular speed to fit the speed/throttle profile you needed. I remember it having something to do with the YAP missions, but it was a long time ago and since I don't play YAP, I don't remember if it ever worked. I know someone here figured it out. I'll have to look through the posts... Was about 2-3ish years ago.

    Unfortunately , those (and AirSoft sadly )are totally illegal here. I got busted with one at high school back in 1994 (had it in my bag on the weekend, some deadbeat dipsh*t was rifling through my back and ratted on me, bastard!) and I had to have a little chat with the Po-lice. Marvin, I love my Nerf stuff. Future wife on the other hand, not a fan unless she needs something to shoot at me. I'm usually finding cool gear at places like Toys R Us, although most places are scaling their wares back a bit and selling that cheap knock off Air Blaster shyte (K-Mart and Target aren't great. Don't even bother with Myer). There aren't too many independent toy stores keeping this stuff, though you might want to try Toy World although they're usually over priced with everything they sell now. It's a shame because they used to be a great store! They only bonus with them is that I've rarely seen a Toy World here that updates it's stock regularly. But I think your best bet is the interwebz. Speaking of interwebz, if you're only getting a paltry 5-6 ft in your shots, look at the modding tutes on youtube. I think, on average, I'm getting about 8-9 metres with my gear although the longshot bleeds a lot of energy, even after modding and I only get around 5 with that. Once you remove the air flow restrictor you'll get a significant increase in range on your pump/bolt action weapons. If you add a new spring to it, you'll get even more!     Governments only learn the lessons of the last wars fought. This wouldn't be so bad if the next operation resembles the last one exactly, but they never do. Focusing on airlift and air support seems to be all the rage along with buying into stealth. I'm finding too many governments are relying on stealth to be some kind of panacea for all things military and are going to have a big shock when they realise their new (Euro) $150 million stealth planes aren't able to fight terrorism or keep the peace any better, or cheaper than existing aircraft...

    Yeah, I think I had the game installed for all of 1 day and I'd already knocked it over. That's good to know about Blops because I've had it running poorly since the previous patch, very jerky, lots of micro pauses. Before that, it was fine though. Oddly enough, I have that very same problem with Homefront during combat or when a script kicks in. And since it's a script based game, it's happening A LOT! Heh. However, when I play BF:BC2 or I play BF2 with the bots cranked up to 160+, still runs smoother than an android's ass. Go figure.

Also, this is subjective, but if you get sick of the disc looking fast prop animation (for when the rotor is at speed) look for these entries within the Engine 3 and 4 sections: SlowPropNodeName=SlowRotor FastPropNodeName=FastRotor <<----------- Change this to match the SlowRotor entry and you'll have rotors that spin without that rotor disc look. It's not important to do this, but you might find it looks better.
  19. Of the 21 remaining Pigs, 4 will become static display aircraft and the remaining aircraft will be scrapped. It's been a good (re: long) run for them in the RAAF. So long, farewell!     Loving the fact that I can have a look to see if servers are available and then join at will... unlike MW2 when I sit here for 10 minutes waiting for the bloody game matcher to do it's thing and then eventually find my best match from a host in Mongolia or somewhere.
