  1. Veltro! You are an utter, utter, utter legend for this! I really dig this plane! And so help me anyone of you that suggests that I love the c*ck!
  2. PT test results

In my last BFT, I knocked over the 2.4km (a shade under 1.5 miles) in 11 mins 07 and the bastards made be do it again within ten mintues! lol. 95% is a great achievement, good work!
  3. MiG-35 stalls in Indian fighter tender contract

Gripen would be a very nice addition, and long overdue IMO. A thoroughly underrated aircraft. There was talk about SAAB (and BAE??) whipping up a carrier based variant for Brazil which could also work out nicely for the Indian Navy too. Pitching Gripen with tail hooks.
  4. MiG-35 stalls in Indian fighter tender contract

I'd bet my left nut that the F-16IN is only on the tender to make sure the document runs to a second page. It's technical superiority to other Vipers notwithstanding, no Indian official would get away with selecting fighter that Pakistan uses. I'm thinking the Eurofighter is in with a chance for that very reason Jedi. Something came to mind before, this is the medium MRCA tender, yeah? Isn't the Eurofighter classed in the heavy (high) class and the Gripen in the light (low) one? If they choose the Eurofighter, that's going to be one buff air force the IAF has. Think about it, outside of the USAF, the Russians, the JASDF, few nations have fielded two heavy classed front line fighters simultaneously.
  5. Because as popular as the Mirage 2000 is, France/Dassault, in their infinite wisdom, shut production down early despite the still significant interest in the very capable plane. Brazil, India and several other nations would have selected them for their future needs. In fact, I do recall reading several statements over the past few years where the Indians have said they would have preferred the Mirage 2000-5 for it's MCA tender. For anyone wanting Mirages now, they have to buy them second hand all because it was considered a threat to Rafale sales. I think France/Dassault didn't just shoot themselves in the foot, they blew it clean off with this blunder and cost themselves significant future sales. Then again, given the nature of the Air Support/Air policing roles, the JF-17 would fit that role very nicely. Still, of China's exports, I think it's got nothing on that sweet J-10!
  6. Yeah, I had something similar doing the same thing. I can't find the thread I posted because a few people got back with helpful answers too! I do know it has to be at a specific sample rate and there can sometimes be an issue with the file size.
  7. Modernized military Hardware

I thought this had already been through qualifications already? The SuperHind is ugly as sin, and like all fugly vehicles, must be awesome at what it does!
  8. What about space combat sims?

No question, hands down. It's easy to play, fun in multi, has unbelievable depth to it in its vanilla form let alone in it's modded or modern guise, you can mod the absolute piss out of it with only a cursory glance at the FRED manual. X3's looking pretty sweet too, although the lack of multi is a bit of a shame and Eve online seems much the same, although I hear the bell curve is a bit steep. Colony Wars and Colony Wars 2, though looking dated now, are still a blast to play. It's a real shame space sims aren't as popular as they were back in the late 90s.
  9. Boeing Flies F-15 Silent Eagle

I've been hearing that Boeing's keen to sell these to South Korea on defense news, so I'm hoping to see this actually happen. Might also provide some additional motivation for Japan's stealth program too. I'm disappointed to hear that there's a good chance the fins won't be canted though. :no2:
  10. I must've irritated someone

The dude obviously ate some lead paint flakes when he was a kid... Maybe never recovered from that first concussion from being a douchebag to the wrong person...
  11. Anytime! The loadout.ini is in the aircraft's specific folder and it's just a text/config file that you can open and edit in notepad. You do it a couple of times and you'll realise how easy it is to edit!
  12. I know with mine, with some aircraft I'll only have the choice of 2 (one per pylon) or 6 (3 per pylon) in the loudout menu, but nothing in-between. So changing the loadout.ini is how I get around it.
  13. Are you talking 2 per pylon? In the loadout.ini where it reads: Loadout[XX].WeaponType=AGM-65 Loadout[XX].Quantity=3 <<-----------Why not just change that to 2 on the pair of hardpoints for each wing? Loadout[XX].RackType=TER That way, when you go into the weapons loadout in game, you'll have the choice of 2 or 6 for that pair of hardpoints, OR ...you could leave it and the loudout.ini entry with load 4 by default.
  14. To the dumbass with the green laser...

So what happens? Do you call in the position (or these abouts) and control calls the 5-0 in to go take a look...?
  15. I really enjoy them both with you get a bunch of people you know together! I just wish they would patch overkill back in it. I miss sniping with an MP5 as my secondary... Not being able to play it with you Yanks because of the clientside server's a bit of a bummer too!
  16. I dunno man. I used to love CoD 4, now it seems every time I play MW2, I get cussed out by some retard who thinks I'm hacking, even for very pedestrian kills. We need another Halo to filter out the douchebag element like we did with CoD 4...
  17. To the dumbass with the green laser...

It's because of these pricks that I can't get me one of . I don't want it for dodgy, semi-legal reasons, I want it because I like these kind of wicked techy gadgets and this thing looks wicked!. But some dickhead thought it was fun to paint an airliner, then one of his dumb buddies tried it and now it's possible for me to be fined $2000 for having one on my key chain for work. I accept that they're doing so for safety reasons and rightly so... But these idiots with lasers are spoiling it for the rest of us! I think a healthy beating is in order...
  18. Concorde to fly again...maybe

All I'm saying is, were I Vinnie Chase or someone, I'd be buying my very own Mach 2+ Bizjet!
  19. Concorde to fly again...maybe

Canning the supersonic airliner has to be, in my book anyways, one of the dumbest aviation decisions ever made. I mean, I know why they did it and it does make a bit of sense, but a modernised Concorde with less thirsty supercruise engines is still a platform that could perform magnificently!
  20. You gotta bear in mind that your number #2 (lol, number 2!) is only as dumb as you let him be. If you tell him/them to attack a target, they generally will. But once that target is dead, they'll need another one to attack which you have to designate to them (ie, order them to kill). AGMs are good for this as they'll be rather economical with them, but load them up with iron bombs, cluster munitions, etc, and they'll drop a quite a few. I have noticed that sometimes you'll get a "can't comply", but I'm not sure why as I've flown a series of sorties with similar armaments and occasionally they won't. When you detect airborne targets, they sometimes won't shoot outside of their own detection range, but the bigger problem I seem to see more often with air to air engagements is that, despite being loaded out with AHM/SAHMs, my #2, even the others will close to IRM/gun range and take them on. Also, don't forget with your #2 to make sure you use the status check option or F6 to skip to their aircraft so you can keep tabs on their ordinance situation.
  21. Gary Coleman dead at 42

    Wow... Link here:
  22. The idea that the Israelis have no nukes is about as plausible as the Moon landings being fake or Rob Schneider being a good actor!
  23. That exact roll characteristic used to happen with the Yak-141. I think it was an issue of using left rudder and rolling to the left simultaneously...
