  1. Who knew P-3's were so threatening?

Actually, I was thinking after I posted that that the US and China do interpret EEZ/UN Convention on the Law of the Sea quite differently, which was the crux of that particular issue. But yeah, I would be interested. Drop me a PM or something.
  2. Who knew P-3's were so threatening?

Who's permission? Joint Chiefs or the other governments? Because I'm pretty sure China had objections to that EP-3E they intercepted/crashed into over Hainan in 2k1. If the US does have an active program for ELINT in Venezuela, they'd definitely win themselves some widespread, grass roots Anti Chavez support just by jamming Chavez's Variety Show. Has anyone seen this? It's just like the Sam Rothstein show from the movie Casino, except with more Bush/US bashing and stupid pet tricks. Off Topic: The thing I find most interesting about Venezuela's F-16s is how after the sanctions came into effect, a lot of Western defense commentators said the F-16s wouldn't last long. That they lacked propper technical and maintenance expertise and spares would be impossible to come by. But they've done a damn good job and only cannibalised a fraction of the airframes thought they would need to (Several have been lost in crashes). Plus in exercises in Brazil, the 9(?) they sent performed well above expectation. What does surprise me is how their VF-5s are in worse condition than the F-16s and yet with Iran being something of a friend, I figured they'd be able to source parts and equipment through them... ...makes me wonder what they're doing with their F-16s that they're not doing with their F-5s.
  3. The Final Countdown

It gets even more problematic with the law of unintended consequences. Suppose while you are stalking your grandfather, you bump into someone. The person is delayed enough that they miss their train. Their train derails...however, they weren't on it, and so they don't get killed as in the original history. Doesn't sound like much, unless they end up being pivotal in history later on through themselves or offspring...you don't really know. Even if time travel backward (forward is conceptually easy - one way) were ever possible, I don't think you would ever WANT to...at least in a physical, I could affect history, way. The lever of change would get HUGE the farther back you go. Read Ray Bradbury's "A Sound of Thunder" for a conceptual example. FC All of this assumes that there is only one time line and that it's linear. From the POV of Multiverse theory, any changes made would simply branch from that originating time line into a new one.
  4. Who knew P-3's were so threatening?

I dunno what your US Orions are like, but I've been up close and personal with the RAAF AP-3Cs of the 92nd Air Wing here and they're mean bastards! I mean, they have to be now since some desk pushing douchebag in Canberra figured it was a good idea turning it into a strike platform and canning the Pig. I find the interct with a couple of F-16s to be a little ironic. Just curious, but was the P-3 in question an EP-3??
  5. Oh, I thought you wanted to add an existing rack... wait... what?
  6. In the loadout.ini, when you're entering your information about your IRM station, ie: Loadout[01].WeaponType=AIM-9 Loadout[01].Quantity=1 Loadout[01].RackType= <<-----Add this and specify what type of rack type you want and it'll appear slung unter this rack in-game. I mean, that's how I do it for bombs and other munitions to avoid their fins clipping with the aircraft wing.
  7. HAPPY NEW YEAR...

Happy New Year from Adelaide, SA! Best wishes to you all for 2010!! (Even the Borg were getting down!)
  8. Yeah, it's piss easy to do. Follow the guides to adding aircraft to the second gen series in the knowledge base like the esteemed EJ has linked you above and you'll realise it actually takes longer to fart than to add aircraft.
  9. Best Game of 2009

Cheers Hawtness, totally forgot about the GTA episodes. I love The Ballad of Gay Tony. Totally rekindled my interest in the GTA IV series. I've really gotta give those Saints Row 2 episodes a go...
  10. It's Crusader's Birthday!

    Happy birthday dude!!
  11. Best Game of 2009

If L4D2 didn't get ripped apart before release here in Oz, I would have voted for that. As it is, MW2 (despite it's flaws), gets my vote. Multiplayer's been pretty awesome, although the 2 player co-op is a helluva lot of fun too. Especially that Gunship mission...
  12. New Years Plans?

    Dance party...
  13. Happy Birthday Say What!?

Bloody hell... it normally doesn't take me that long to recover. I thought Beer and Tequilla were supposed to be my friends! Cheers guys! Hope you all had a Merry Xmas!
  14. OMG WTF?

I hear Tom Cruise is going to don the fur suit and appear as the Gopher.
  15. Brittany Murphy died, aged 32

Holy crap! She was awesome! http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2009/12/21/2777031.htm?section=entertainment
  16. Invisible bombs?

I don't know, I don't 'play' this 'game', but are your weapons models/textures in the right place? I know that's the problem we have in the WO* series. The bombs are still 'in' the game, just minus the textues making them invisible.
  17. If you've already got the data completed (including the hardpoint data), instead of waiting for possible changes to the model(which, lets face it, at this time of year is a bit of a pipedream), you could just substitute an existing weapons rack as a hardpoint in the mean time. The weapons packs have triple ejector racks that, if used to carry a single weapon, would work nicely. I know the concept has been used on previously released models, such as the wing hardpoints of the Harbin H-5 mod of the Il-28 Beagle. The crux is knowing the co-ords of where you want the racks to go.
  18. Brittany Murphy died, aged 32

Nah, fair call. But my reasoning is that, given her exposure in film and TV and how sudden it was, she's going to make a lot of headlines. Like with MJ. I'm sure to people who don't know her or follow her, they won't really give a rat's ass, and that's fair enough. I liked most of her movies. I'm sure it'll be the same for me here if Chris Webber or Mark Messier died. Most people (in Oz) would be like: "Meh. So?". I guess it's all relative. Still, it's a shame, no matter who it is and especially at that age.
  19. Brittany Murphy died, aged 32

4 Days before Christmas too. Damn...
  20. There should be an FRS1 at the colomun5 site (http://www.column5.us) otherwise, grab the Falklands War Mod for the SFP series and there'll definitely be several in that pack, AFAIK.
  21. Hey, Kei Nagase made a Yellow Squadron skin for the F-15 a while ago, and I know I've downloaded it a couple of times (who knows where that's gone) but I can't seem to find it on here anywhere. Do we still have it...?
  22. No, by all means toot! Toot away! Cheers!
  23. The really odd thing is I know we had it until recently, but now I can't seem to find where it is, even through Kei's profile. I'm just looking for some Erusean decals for a project I'm working on and I know this F-15 skin was top quality... ...I mean, I'm pretty sure it was Kei Nagase and not Kct or anyone...
  24. RAFALE

Vhal, to grab it from http://cplengineeringllc.com/SFP1/ , you'll need to be a member in order to download it. So join with them, might take a couple of days, but once a member, you'll have access to their database. You'll only find the Rafale there I'm afraid.
  25. PAK FA Exposed in MAKS 2009

    Or a Bollywood one...
