B-1B Released (Betas)
SayethWhaaaa replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Just downloaded it... I have a Bone. -
That's not a strange question. A strange question is: Person A: Hey, if you went to a party and woke up the next day with your pants around your ankles and you were all sticky, would you tell anyone? Person B: ...uh... no. Person A: Wanna go to a party...? They would have to be the strangest ones I've heard...

But sir, the helo needed a bath, anyway....

I'm SO not cut out for the navy or working any profession that involves waves like that... -
Are you sure...? The real Branson Mi I dunno, seems like a pretty cool place to me! This. Ain't. Ova.

Heh, I know the feeling. I've been doing my 'Medical' for about 6 months now... ADF's very... thorough.
-
I dunno, but I'll go ask my ex for the 2 grand she owes me and while I'm at it, I'll ask for the last 2 years of my life back and I'll let you know...

Hey Scouser! Big congrats dude!! Hey they given you your schedule yet? Do you know if you'll be heading to Karpooka or will they send you to Williamtown(?) for training? Like Atredies said, if you want to be a pilot, don't give up hope. The biggest thing is probably getting the math under your belt, but you can always get a tutor for that. If you are studying at or planning to go to Uni(versity), I know that's a big plus for officer selection. If you ask Dels, he might be able to answer some questions you may have... or not. But then again, the few A/C maintenance guys I've met are pretty cool, so you'll have a ball with them. Also, since you're joining the ADF, you better brush up on your slang, HERE

If it works, why not? If someone else does the hard work and they can capitalise on it, then it works out for them. The US and Soviets were doing it for decades. I mean, they're not striving for originality here, they're developing the infrastructure to create their own arms industry. With that massive former Bell plant there, I'm not surprised they went for a Bell design mod. I figure they're not doing it with the Chinese stuff because they'd kick up a fuss and withdraw their support to the Iranian arms industry, military etc...

Wrench is right. Treating it as a weapon would be the easiest route to take since there aren't any AI flight profiles that would simulate a suicide attack. Also, I don't recall ramming your aircraft into a target causing much damage. I know I've done it a few times where I've been shot down or fixated on my target and crashing into another and so on, but I've seen targets survive impacts with my aircraft just fine. Is there even a way to add an explosive charge or damage rating to an aircraft?? -
Fictional I'm afraid. Dude's a DeviantART-ist... http://pearceryan.deviantart.com/art/F-36A...epting-61503784 The onlt F-36 I've heard of was the XF/A-36A Game from Ace Combat III and that was based on a drone (X-36A)

K, I don't mean to make light of the situation, but what a way to go, in a Thai hotel room no less. That's a rock star death. I've only recently realised how good an actor he was. Admittedly, I'm limited to his performances in the Kill Bills, Saints Row and a few others, but in those roles, he never missed the mark! This is a real shame...

Jesus! That sucks hard!! Yeah, I thought it was a little quieter around here as of late. I'll raise a glass to her speedy recovery at my next opportunity. Here's to a speedy, thorough recovery for you V! lol... mouthy... That describes all of my girly mates.

I liked the original Saw. It was original, conceptually, it was bleak and gritty; and that's what made it so good to me. After that, the sequels were about as entertaining as the Police Academy sequels to me... Besides, the first one had Danny Glover being too old for this sh*t!

But doesn't it have only one pouch...?

A question about helicopters
SayethWhaaaa posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I know helicopters haven't been integrated into the game completly, but I'm just wondering how capable are the AI with Landing/take-offs? I've seen them fly and fight, and neither is spectacular but they get the job done nonetheless. What I'm more concerned with is whether I can set up a sortie where helicopters fly to a point and land, or perform a close approximation of it without piking into the ground. The last time I used a chopper to test out a new skin, I noticed my wingmen doing forward rolls through the tarmac when trying to move. I'm hoping things will be different for choppers with a wheeled gear like the Hind and blackhawk but... I'm at work so I can't test this out just jet and it's been bugging me. I've got six hours to go too... -
Chengdu F-10A ''Vanguard'' - Iran Air Force
SayethWhaaaa replied to a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - File Announcements
Great skin! Only, that report turned out to be bogus, just like the one about the IRIAF buying 200+ Su-30s. Still, I can't wait to see what fighting IRIAF F-14s supported by F-10A will be like. Think I'm gonna get my ass kicked. -

Looks like a plane boss. -
I have a question too
SayethWhaaaa replied to JRA's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
That's precisely why I dig the RAN A-4G and the RNZAF A-4K Kahu. There's not much you can't do with either, especially the A-4K Kahu! That bird is mean! -
I have a question too
SayethWhaaaa replied to JRA's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Oh, wait. Up until 1980... Yeah, aside from the F-16s, most of that is valid. -
I have a question too
SayethWhaaaa replied to JRA's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
There's a whole host. Early model F-16s have the manourverability and can carry a stack of IRMs. You've got Mig-23s from the Eastern Bloc. I find the SAAB Viggens, despite not being the most agile, can be pretty potent is you can train those hard hitting 30mm cannons on target. The A-4 has the agility to line up the more nimble Migs too. I guess it all depends on how you're engaging the Migs. What you're doing when you get into a turning fight and what you need from your aircraft. I'm guessing you're talking about knife fighting RE the Migs, yeah? I mean the F-14 was active from before 1980 and there'd be a lot of people swear by the Tomcat...
