I know I'm going to sound like an old fart () asking this, but I'm curious if anyone here is a fan of or has seen an Andre Rieu performance here. My Dad's a big fan, so I threw down some hard earned loot for tickets to his performance here in Adelaide on Tuesday night and then lied to him about how much it had cost (because he'd freak out a bit if he found out exactly how much!) and went along with him. It absolutely kicked ass! My Dad's only just started dialysis in the past few months and his kidneys are pretty awful and I figured this would lift his spirits a bit because he's been a bit bummed since starting it. He wore a grin from ear to ear most of the night, me too in fact. Normally, my musical tastes are usually entrenched in the '180 beats per min/glowstick waving' end of the spectrum, but it was a fantastic performance! So, yeah... has anyone here seen this guy play? If not, check him out!

Personally, I dig the one Jules is doing. It looks about what I'd expect the PAK-FA to look like coming from the reports I've seen between 99 and 2003. I know the one that looked like the F-22 was a proposal, but I'm not too sure if that design was given a go ahead for development.

I remember signing a stack of forms pertaining to information that may or may not have been relevent to a previous position I've held. And while most everything I'd experienced or worked on was probably already (or now currently)in the public domain, the 6 figure fines and possible 3 year gaol sentence (I think it was 3, last time I looked anyways) and being somebody's butt monkey are punishments I'll quite happily avoid.

Go to the Marcfighters site for the Mi-8/17-1. That one's supposed to have one of the more 'realistic' FMs (as realictic as helos are in the WOX series), but that was said before the patches. Otherwise try the A-team site (http://cplengineeringllc.com/SFP1/). They have most of the choppers made for the series I think, Little Birds, Hinds, Black and SeaHawks, Cobras, etc. Thing is, you'll need an account with them (just a login and a password). I think you can grab the Tiger ARH there too...

Just a quick one, skipping the fact that the player can't fly 'propper' transport sorties for the minute, I saw a while ago that there was a discussion about dropping various cargos from transport aircraft. I think one of the products of this dicussion was the (M39?) Jeep model/weapon that can be dropped from Dels's sweet C-130. Has a way of keeping the unit active (ie hitting the ground and staying there, not disappearing into the ground) be figured out? I can't seem to find the thread anymore... or remember what it was called.

What are you trying to download dude? My Freespace buddies upload large chunks of stuff we work on from time to time and we never seem to have problems accessing it.

So transport planes show up in single mission, post patch?

(Musters a truly offensive attempt at a carribean accent) I and I say ya cyan't be flyin' de Spectre in de Transportin', seen? Can't be done in a player controlled plane outside of adhoc fashion. As an AI conrolled plane however, just add "Transport" to the list of primary or secondary roles the aircraft can fulfill. And even then, it won't show up in a single mission sortie. To be able to have it seen flying transport gigs, it (aircraft/sqn) has to be added to a campaign and tasked with transportation in said campaign and even then it will appear randomly... AFAIK. If it's changed since then, I haven't seen it, unfortunately...

Hey Stratos, changing the ship type to cargo will work nicely. What Storm's posted here ^^ is spot on. This is how I have it set up on my SFG, WOE and WOV installs and they work fine. I do have some trouble witht the WOI install from time to time with the anti-ship mission being a standard recon mission, but I think a repatch or reinstall might sort that one out. With the warships, don't forget to add their weapons systems to the gundata/weaponsdata inis! Otherwise, they'll hardly shoot back.

What's with the fixed wing tanks? The engineers know the wings move, right? Is this one going to fly or is it just a static?

I couldn't figure out what you guys were talking about. I was gonna ask if it was one of those snaps where you have to stare at it long enough before you see it, and even then it's usually a sailboat.

Have the Russians even settled on a design for the PAK-FA? I thought the design was changed when India was brought in? I like it from the front back and sides, but damn if that thing is FUGLY from top and bottom! :yes:
