B-57 canberra for il2 46
SayethWhaaaa replied to dsawan's topic in IL-2 Series / Pacific Fighters / Cliffs of Dover: Mods & Skinning Chat
I just felt a huge disturbance in the force. Like thousands of British voices suddenly cried out "I say..." at the blasphemy of the good, solid, respectable colours of the British finding their way on to this aberration of excellent British engineering from the colonies... -
Whoa, Tom Cruise making another film that's all about him. I'm stunned...

I do the same with the earlier Ace Combats (everything from 6 onwards was complete shit), Red Baron, Apache vs Havoc and Jetfighter Fullburn. Nothing wrong with a bit of nostalgia.

CP-140 skins WIP

Absolutely glorious, Frenchie! -
I get your reference, Charlielima, even if the rest of these other Seppos don't. Did the tales of RAdm Audrey not get told in the US...? Nope. There aren't exceptions exclusively for the USN. They're subject to the same maritime naval conventions as everyone else. The reports here were saying that at one point the Fitzgerald was at real risk of sinking. That must have been a hell of an impact! I guess we can only wait an see what the investigation uncovers.

I thought the -35B transforming to a -35C during the cat-launch was pretty impressive too. I think HMAS Canberra was supposed to be at this for it's inaugural participation at RIMPAC until major issues with their engines saw her and Adelaide returned to drydock for the forseeable future. Would have been good to see them at RIMPAC. :(

Last time I heard about a Top Gun sequel, everyone seemed to have a hard-on for making it a story based around UAVs/UCAVs. I hope to christ it's not the case with this one! Stealth was bad enough-- that film lost something like $60 million! I really hope they don't CGI the shit out of it, something studios are all too ready to do with films these days. I hate watching movies where I get popped out of the immersion by really crappy CGI with no understanding of physics. [/irritableBastardRant]

Indian F-16 blk 70?
SayethWhaaaa replied to dsawan's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Sci-Fi/Anime/What If Forum
The Brhamos looks bigger than an F-16! I think you'd have better luck strapping the Viper to the Brahmos, than the Brahmos to the Viper. -
Just watch out for the Kraken, Jim...

Dammit dude! I had stuff to do tonight, stuff I'm now 45 minutes late for, because you posted this fascinating link!

Damn you guys. I really want to dig out my copy of the JWWOTW game from '98 now, but I don't have functioning CD drive. :( Really wish they'd make a movie of this but set at the turn of the 19th/20th centuries, not these bloody 'modern era' ones, and especially without any annoying AF emo teens like the 2005 one.

Historical correctness
SayethWhaaaa replied to RustyKurnass's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
If it's just a matter of changing changing it to the correct variant and it's associated skin, then the ini edits are really quite simple (literally just changing a 'b' to a 'j', altering the Sqn no. and editing the entry for the correct skin). Now if you were building a terrain... yeah, different story. I haven't used the SF2 editor much, but you can save a campaign once you've customised it in the editor, yeah? -

Two seater EF-2000

Fairly certain there isn't. Or if there is in development, it hasn't been released anywhere that I've seen.
