For anyone like me who has a dodgy memory... for some reason (can't remember), here's a list of the releases for 2007: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:2007_video_games I have to buck the trend and say that I thought S.T.A.L.K.E.R. sucked for me. It was something like 4 or 5 years late, a bit buggy (would never load a save for me) and seemed really dated before release. When using the pistols, I can't help being reminded of using the pistols in BF1942. Great concept, let down by an engine that was obsolete IMO before it's release.

Yes. Yes it did! She's a super hottie but she drew the short straw and got the crappiest GDI uniform.

where ist the F-7 topic?

I thought I saw something at insky.cn saying they're looking to release the J-8II and the J-10 real soon. Like REAL soon, but it's dependent on their working/studying lives at the mo... -
where ist the F-7 topic?

There were a few problems with it. I hollered at 101TFS and he's (they've?) only just gotten back to me. Had them all ready to upload last night when my USB deviced had a critical memory error or something and wiped ABSOLUTLEY everything from it! It's definitely not recoverable now, since it's in about a hundred pieces. But Ghostrider's been helping me out (when he's not watching India kick Australia's arse in the Perth Test!) and I should have them ready for tonight to upload. So once that's done, we'll take the buggy ones down. -
I hear-tell that EECH2 sucked a bit. Bugs and what not... My biggest disappointment was the ending of C&C 3. What a goddamn anti-climax! I know there's an add-on on the way, but still, you spend hours and hours playing a game, I want more than 30 second or 1 minute endings ffs!!! (sigh)... take a breath... think of Jennifer Hawkins... Now I'm calm. *EDIT* NBA Live 08 for PSP is pretty p*ss poor too! It's pretty buggy and prone to resetting your PSP. Even after saving, you can't reload the data or worse still, it reloads the save you thought you'd just saved over as sometimes it goes through the motions of a save, save screen and everything, but doesn't do the deed! Also, in franchise mode, occassionally after plaing a game, when exiting out, it resets! And don't even get me started on the lack of "create a player"...

Is it a new COD 4 unlock? How many headshots will I need for that...?

You know... the Talibananas aren't really in posession of highly capable SAMs or AAA systems... or radar, or airplanes, or kites or tanks that can doing anything other than sit there like a lump... or for that matter, fashion sense, or razors, or a full 6 pack if you get what I'm saying ...so using the F-22 might be a little superfluous to the ISAF's needs. Like bringing in Claude Lemeiux for your kid's peewee hockey team! Actually... Sparky, I was gonna say that I'm surprised it's gotten to this point and noone's nominated some kind of Bikini Inspector job... and SHAME ON YOU ALL!! But thank Buddha someone mentioned it...

Mitsubishi ATD-X:Japan's new toy
SayethWhaaaa replied to Shin_kazama's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Mitsubishi didn't approach anyone, The US approached the Japanese government to guide the program towards a more favourable position for US manufacturers (as a response to the massive trade deficit which was in Japan's favour). Despite being a pretty bloody capable platform, I think the Japanese got screwed on the deal... bigtime. Especially if the end result is a US$100 Million per copy advanced F-16. If they develop their own or they buy from abroad, it wouldn't be too surprising to see them purchase extra units to cover the shortfall in the F-2 program. I'm not too sure on this, to be honest I can't remember. But the F-2 uses a lot more composite materials in it's construction, compared with the F-16 IIRC. Apparently this results in a slightly smaller RCS when compared to the Viper, despite being larger. Has this been confirmed? -
Mirage 4000
SayethWhaaaa replied to 76.IAP-Blackbird's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
There are a lot of similarities between the Mirage F.2 and the PLAAF FB-7... Not implying anything because I know China can make a good plane! -

Yeah you do... It's okay, we're not here to judge -
Wasn't that Siera who was developing that instead who pulled the plug 2 months before release (at at the 95% completion mark) to divert the funds into HL2??

Mirage 4000
SayethWhaaaa replied to 76.IAP-Blackbird's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Think it never went into service because the Saudi's bought the Tornado and the composite construction (which was pretty revolutionary for the time) was really expensive. They didn't have the ecconomies of scale like we do today so composites, despite being stronger and lighter and perfect fo aircraft, resulted in massive costs when in comparison to equivalent aircraft. Interesting to me that it was goin to be considered in the F-15/Su-27 "heavy" class of fighters... -
Scruffy seconds. Didn't much like how the Imperial Guardsmen were so easily killed. Excellent series though! One I never thought I'd get into...

Mitsubishi ATD-X:Japan's new toy
SayethWhaaaa replied to Shin_kazama's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
I've been looking for an image of this for a little while now. There was an article on this plane back in the November Air Forces Monthly, but bugger all information about it. Apparantly it's being designed on the belief that the JASDF won't get access to the F-22. Wouldn't mind getting my grubbies on the 3d/cross section view to get a better idea of it's shape! -

Did you check in the F-5?DATA.ini to make sure the nation name in there is Iran too? -
I wouldn't say so, at least not like those greedy NBA bastards! (Except for Chris Webber, he's the best player in the league and therefore exempt from criticism). But seriously, the writers are getting screwed when something they produce is sold online and they don't see any cash for it...

Australia goes with Fullbacks?
SayethWhaaaa replied to Silverbolt's topic in Military and General Aviation
Interesting article. It'd be good if it were true, but we had a hell of a time trying to convince a multitude of Defence review comissions, Senate comittees and Governmental panels about the capabilities of the Su-30 series that I doubt they'd be looking to the Su-34. I'd very much like to be wrong though... Personally, I'd love to see it happen because there are two preveiling attitudes in our defence industry at the moment that are cold war legacies which are: 1. That only the US makes cutting edge platforms/technology and 2. That Russian technology would only bring relative capabilities, not leading edge (in other words, they're crap). With the departure of the previous government, maybe they would be considering all options (they said recently that there would be a thorough review of all defence acquisitions of the past 2 years) as it's known that the new government is quite receptive to the ADF and the civilian thinktanks and the many complaints about the previous administrations behaviour, particularly in the stiffling of competative tendering process and making secret deals that were too political rather than wise. And I think they are starting to realise that investing in development processes don't necessarily yield the associated awards. This is why the Govt's reconsidering the acquisition of the F/A-18Fs and options to assess the F-15 Strike Eagle are known to be back on the table. Personally, I think the Su-34 fulfills more the soon to be vacant F-111 role more than the F-15 for many reasons, however, purchasing and fitting the associated western avionics (not to mention weapons systems) to allow for inter-operability with existing RAAF platforms would be VERY expensive, technically complex and in all likelihood, cost prohibative . The F-15 would be able to operate with existing RAAF aircraft with minimal alterations but with slightly less capability (I'm talking of the platform, not the weapons systems.) with it's shorter legs and minimal stealthing. Then again, we don't use stealth now... Either way, it all comes down to this: We already have a plane called the Wedgetail (the new 737-800 AWACS platforms) and we don't have another eagles AFAIK, so an F-15 without an Eagle type name is no eagle (Sorry Israel, this includes you too! ) on the other hand... We're the only place on the planet where you're find the Platypus, so it seems fitting that the home of the Platypus should fly the Platypus! Anyways, that's just my stickybeak 2 cents... -
I don't get how you have reality shows that are scripted! On the plus side, thanks to reality TV, we get shows like The Soup that take the p*ss outta them.
-
You're all missing the point!! You're supposed to watch the show and then realise that: "No matter how bad things can be from time to time, at least I'm not on the 'Real World'!!" I gotta give credit where credit's due. When I watch these, I never feel bad about myself...

There are actually a couple of problems that could be an issue. Nothing too serious. They should (hopefully) be made visible soon as they are SWEET!!! -

Hehe, cheers. If you say it fast enough, it sounds like "Muted Twat" sort of... Checked again, cables are plugged in properly (sorry about the ffs Dave - Hangover). Gonna give re-installing a shot...

Not sure why but my Ventrillo's completely rooted (FUBAR). The settings are the same, I haven't edited a thing, but for some reason I still can't get it to make a noise. What was it you guys could hear last night because it should have been my mubly, slightly nasal neoAus accent... The only thing I can think of it the dude next door had jack hammers going all day (which is a complete biotch when you're a little hung over from the previous night!!!) Think I might re-install...
