  1. yeah the carriers placed properly ......or should i say ..it should be...........its the default kitty hawk from the linebacker 1 campaign witch is the campaign im editing.........all i have done is set the squadron to be based on the one in the campaign thats numbered 65 (the one thats supposed to represent enterprise) .....i should assume since it was already in the linebacker campaign it should work but i will take a look EDIT......i HAVE tried changing the carrier number to 63 though just to make sure but........still no joy i have even tried changing the finish date of the campaign to see if it was that ........i have spent a day searching....and i am completely stumped i have even made sure the units are in the right place in the file ...............i read on here somwhere it could be a problem so i checked it lol
  2. hey i like the idea of this lol if you need skinning help i just finished watching topgun for the 28th time in 8 days (yeah im sad enough to put a movie on and let it run and run) ....so as a result i now have intimate knowledge of the decal positions on the planes and the casts helmets ......in fact i have maverick and goose done already if you want them

OK here is my problem I know that the strike fighters 2 series has the option to create a multi game install ..........and i want to create one with my wings over Europe game and I have a few questions ..... I haven't found the answers on the forum and I wouldn't mind a strait answer from someone more in the know 1 ..... I installed strike fighters gold .....then wings over Europe ......when I finally got my copy of wings over Vietnam it asked me if I wanted to merge them (I didn't ..for reasons I will explain later) ...but it was my assumption that this was a strike fighters 2 feature only ....my copy of wings over Europe didn't recognise strike fighters gold and didn't offer me this option when I installed it ........my copy of WOV only recognised WOE and not SFG .....so I am wondering why this is and could my copy of WOV be strike fighters 2 : Vietnam in WOV clothing? ..it says WOV on the box 2 ..my copies of SFG, WOV, and WOE ALL work excellently on windows vista .........but I thought I needed SF2 for this to work ......could my games be newer versions? ....SFG and WOE all came on their own with WOE being part of the sold out label (cut price pc titles from mastertronic) .....my WOV came in a multi pack with another Vietnam based game (elite warriors: Vietnam) .......but all of them need the patches from Oct 2008 to work without crashing (after missions are completed quitting causes the game to exit altogether ....the 2008 patches fix this though) ......its something that has stumped me to be honest ... I could just be one of the lucky ones though, 3....... I am creating a multi install using a mod enabler (hence why I declined and let WOV install separate) I am going to be putting the planes and missions that are not in WOE from the other two games by placing them in a MODS folder and using generic mod enabler to apply them when I need them (same as I have done for NATO Fighters)....is their anything I should bear in mind when i do this (it works for NATO fighters) but I want an install where the games wont interfere with each other and I want to know what does WOV and SFG have that WOE doesn't ....game mechanics wise ...not aircraft ...... I know they are pretty much the same but i heard that WOV has carriers and WOE doesn't so I need to know what features to add to WOE that will work over all the installs when I apply the other games planes and content using the mod enabler 4 .....on top of all this I want to create an era specific install for world war 2 .....but I am not sure witch game would be better to use as base .....i have heard about only patching as far as the 2006 patches but would WOV or first eagles be a better base I am thinking first eagles because with the 2008 patch the flight and avionics might be better for prop based aircraft but obviously theirs he issue of WW1 aircraft having fixed undercarriage so I am not sure anyone who takes their time to answer these questions i will be most grateful ...thanks in advance and thanks for taking the time to just read this post

  10. yeah it was cheers ....a great help ...but it doesn't say if First Eagles would be a better game or not (witch was kinda what my question was getting at) ....it just says i can use any .......i just want to know if the prop physics on that game would be best to use instead of a patched WOE (2006 patch) but that's what i am getting at ..it works well enough even without the patch ..the patch just improves it lol thanks for the help either way guys i appreciate it lol .....and yeah i was going do the copy and paste thing ....but just using the mod enabler ...with that i can put whatever i want on then it takes them all out just as easily lol .......having accurate aircraft on single mission mode doesn't matter to me anyway ....i am more of a multiplayer guy ....and i play on the campaigns more and those can be changed in their own INIs lol
  11. heres an interesting thing to note .......i was trying to extract the carrier from wings over europes cat files as per the instructions in the knowlledge base and when i checked the same cat file from my wings over europe install i found the files their too .....does this mean its already in my version of the WOE game
  12. ok quick progress report .....i been busy merging my SFG, WOV and WOE/NATO fighters games .....plus i been trying to get the tornados working (for those of you that didnt see the thread) so i havent had the time for skinning ...but i am partway through ......btw ..sorry majhost is down so the images have gone for now ...............i hope its got nothing to do with this sopa thing like the megaupload fiasco (i know the full story of megaupload im just generalising.......so no comments on that please)

  15. i only have this problem with the tornados ......if thats what your asking? i only have the cockpit canopy problem shown here with these aircraft the tornado F3 ..(the one that works) ..does have a lot of TGAs different ....it even has the folders mentioned above ...... the two that dont work (IDS & GR1A) do not
  16. my NATO 4 tornado F3 works fine its the IDS and GR1 that dont....this is for wings over europe not strike fighters 2, is their a difference? im only asking because your ini files seem to be completely different to the one i posted above and i dont have ANY of those TGAs in my cockpit folder....heres what i do have
  17. i installed nato fighters correctly (as in WOE was already installed and patched before i installed it) ........it installed to a completly seperate file but this was also fine as i was already planning to move the added content to my mods folder on JSGME anyway ...... the modded game works fine and installs fine using generic mod enabler but i have 1 slight problem the planes i was most looking forward to trying out seem to not work correctly these are the Panavia Tornado GR3 and IDS varients (oh HELL no i thought to myself when i found out) heres the problem ...........i could live with it but i dont realy feel it should be nessacary every other plane works fine its just the tornado (though a nighthawk cockpit does the same with the entire cockpit) now before anyone asks ...the graphics card IS a 2008 intel series 4 (onboard) and whilst its easy to blame it on this fact the game runs realy quickly even on the highest setting (although in the pic its set at the lowest to try to keep the pic size down) and it is JUST this plane that the error occurs on (the nighthawk im not sure if its a part of nato fighters or if i got it seperate so that dosnt matter for now ....its this plane i care about) and i find it a bit odd that thats the case what im realy hoping is that theirs a solution written in the config file for the plane that i can just take off some of the config and have it work it would be great im not saying that this is what can be done ....im just hoping i dont have to blame stuff on the card for once since the game was made before it even existed and it runs perfect on it any help greatly appreciated thanks
