Condor Update
Jug replied to Veltro2k's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Looking good, as usual, Veltro. -
Jug spent a fine Saturday with the Jarhead family and we flew and talked flying all afternoon. Mrs Jarhead was most gracious and cooked one of the best steaks I have had in some time. A nice day with two fine parents and 4 high speed toddlers.

My heart and prayers go out to the families. RIP. I am especially proud of the joint forces who have jumped in and allocated resources to the search. Defense is not the only role our armed forces do. My congratulations to the aircrew and naval forces who are involved in the search, which must be difficult and heart-breaking. The Airbus is quite a reliable aircraft. So arises the suspicion of terrorism. I know it is not PC to say terrorism any more, but the suddenness and completeness of the destruction of the aircraft certainly leads to thoughts along those lines.

Say that to the Marine jock that just vacated his Harrier over the ocean only to become an item of interest to a local Bull Shark! Those aircrews will never have to buy a drink around me...................

Cannot get too deep in this, but the U-2 and Global Hawk do not need a movable dish.

What better way to bring on the spring? I am even taking a short road trip to bring Jarhead and his family a bit of my world famous chili. Looking forward to BBQ and Chili this weekend!!!!

Congratulations to you and your spouse. The left side of the Washington Redskins has a bright future (10 pounds!!!). May the good Lord bless and keep your family.

The DRNK periodically needs a check. No check, they stir up trouble, threaten war, threaten this, threaten that. All they want is a check. Be nice to just say NO. Let them stew in their own pot. If pushed to desperation, which they are on the brink of constantly, they may wave the flag, blow the trumpet and march south. However, the source for the checks has its own problems and they may just have to get on the trail.

Kevin, as much as you contribute here and to my own enjoyment of the game, I'll give you $20. Just don't call me Honey!

I taught a Sunday school class entitled "Agreeing to disagree". Not too hard to figure out that the subject was not all about disagreements, because they happen all the time, but about how to handle disagreements from a Christian standpoint. Everyone is entitled to his/her opinion and those in disagreement with them are not their enemy. Each deserves the respect of being heard. The Brits have it right in their political world when they address the minority party as the "loyal opposition" which implies that disagreement is there, but that has nothing to do with the opposition's loyalty. The middle east and other areas are ripe with examples where the only acceptable solution to disagreements is somebody has to die. Being banged on the internet is way too often taken way too personally and not often enough with a good sense of humor. Immaturiity plays a part, and immaturity has nothing to do with age, but at the end of the day, it is all about how you handle it. I like the high road tactic and giving respect for an opposing position. Keeps my blood pressure down where it is supposed to be and leaves those brewing for a fight nothing to hang onto and to drift off back into their tormented world.

Is it still worth buying Wings Over Vietnam
Jug replied to WLJet's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I think $40 is a bit steep, but WoV is an excellent buy, because it allows you to play YAP1 and YAP2, both well worth the additional $$. Besides if Third Wire put out the Adventures of Tinker Bell, I'd probably be first in line to support TK and crew. I look at it this way, I'm not rich, but I try to take the old bag out once a week. I told her that it was going to be another adventure in the many creative ways to cook hot dogs this week and there was the money to buy my latest Third Wire product. Sure, she was a bit sore, but she'll get over it. She always does and I am out of her hair raising hell over North Vietnam. I see it as win, win. -
My vote goes to Suicidal's Yamas.........
