Eraser.......brother.....................Lefty = commie............commie = lefty. From the shadow of Attila the Hun two steps to his right, I am willing to admit that I am a bit over the edge, but I'll have to admit it feels good over here. LOL

I'm with the Jedi. Although the MLH on PBS is comprehensive if you have the time.

Enhanced Explosions 3 effects pack

Increased blast effects should affect the aircraft, shouldn't it? Nothin' could be finer than an Arc-Light strike in China in the Mooooorniiiiinnnng.............! -
Smallest I've seen was the 1.1 MT B-61 gravity weapon dropped from the B-52, Bone, and FB-111. I, personally, think the maneuvers here described were soothing thoughts for the pilot to consider as he completes his last activity on earth......................KaBoooooooooom................fade to white.

It cannot be......the red dice roller that Robert Mitchum smoked or maybe it was a real young Robert "Hot Dog" Wagner. Can I please have a copy of that skin? I can put in a couple of hours of quality begging if you like........... -
Ultimate fighter
Jug replied to THEJETDEMON's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Sci-Fi/Anime/What If Forum
First time I have read your comments and they are thoughtful and contain a great deal of insight. If you are indeed, an active UAF Lieutenant, you are very welcome in this forum. I would offer that the real issue is moving dirt. The fight for the high ground is where the limits of flight, flight design, and engine design are tested, but if you ask the foot soldier, and they hold the turf, what they prefer, their usual answer is a Warthog (A-10), a Frogfoot (Su-25), an Apache or a Hind. Their perspective is if we take your airfield, who cares who holds the high ground! The technology and application of flight design and engine design to move dirt is where your money is made in a war. The exotic stuff discussed in this thread is fun but lower on the real priority list. -

Many thanks from me too!! -
Happy Birthday and many happy returns.

Fast movers in close proximity is very dangerous work. These guys are pros and it still happens. However, this is how you prep for the fight before you get in one for real. Lack of preparation is what happened in the early days over Vietnam and the reason we have Top Gun and Red Flag. My thoughts and prayers are with the family of the Hornet driver.

I miss the commies. They were the kind of stand-up enemy you could respect. I miss the constraints a nuclear standoff put on the political ambitions of both sides. I don't miss standing alert ready to escort any other people back to the stone age. I don't miss the terrifying knowledge of exactly what nucler weapons can do. I don't miss the days when either side was willing to do that to the other.

Happy Birthday, Fast Cargo. There is life past 40. In my case, way past 40.

Weather
Jug replied to eightlein's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
I think the Brazilians call this "nublina", which is fog in the treetops in the Amazon and is an open invitation to find the perverbial 'granite' cloud. Dangerous stuff, but part of the flying environment and this rendition is very realistic. Excellent job. -
I'm officially the worst sim combat pilot ever!
Jug replied to serverandenforcer's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
OK, I think I have the title of most lame sim fighter pilot. I have proof and admit it right up front. Somebody says 'mission success' over the radio, as in mission accomplished, and this little pink piggie departs the fight. Show them my steadily dimishing afterburning buttocks and head for the bar. Eric Hartmann only entered into a dogfight when there was absolutely no option. Get it position, hammer your target and depart the battle. Been using the formula lots and, I'll admit there is not as much swagger in my stride to the dinner table, but I do survive most of the sim fights I'm in. Consign my flight to cover my dead ass, then I go in as fast as I can, lock up and shoot as fast as I can, no such thing as level flight, one pass and haul ass as close to the dirt as I can stand it and let the aluminum bitch stretch for a low altitude speed record. Actually, I think that qualifies me as the worst fighter pilot on the planet. Yet, I still live.................... -
The saddest "cockup" of the Falklands war is a question. Contained within is the largest "cockup" of all. What would our British friends send today?

You Brazilian mafioso rock. Looking forward to the terrain.
