game unable to correctly assign inputs
Polovski replied to Puffman's topic in WOFF/WOTR - FAQ/Technical Issues
To be fair the software normally works simply and well, many people have set up fine using it. If the hardware is reported as the same name in Windows, that would likely be part of the problem at least -the BU0386X cards with identical names. As Stache says, it may need something like Joystickgremlin to define them as separate controllers. Stache can you proved more details on how you set it up using joystick gremlin? -
Mouse view now comparatively slow/ lacking previous fluidity
Polovski replied to redwolf's topic in WOFF/WOTR - FAQ/Technical Issues
Thanks redwolf. I can't think of anything particularly that could affect that - maybe something else has since been changed or updated on the system that is interfering. Try to look through any recent programs or other changes (possibly a windows update recently that may be doing that. -
We have not changed that part of the code Stache so if you used PE use the same setting.

Lewis Gun reload tosses drums overboard

Reload you press once like most other functions. The lower and raise are continuous because you are physically interacting with those and it takes effort (something we are trying to represent). -
game unable to correctly assign inputs
Polovski replied to Puffman's topic in WOFF/WOTR - FAQ/Technical Issues
Only just found this post Puffman it's less than 24 hours since you posted it to be fair. Your setup is quite different from most of course but the standard Axis for Rudder is the R axis. Do you have controller software to allow you to change axis outputs? -
I think I emailed you in support. Sent it to both of the emails you use (one used in your email, and one in order). Just a heads-up, do NOT post order numbers in the forum they are private! If you still don't get the email send an alternative address to support (using a different ISP please)

Before posting tech support issues Please read through the WOFF BH&H II FAQ. Available from https://www.overflandersfields.com/support.html If the answer is not there, PLEASE only post Tech Support issues in the WOFF/WOTR - FAQ/Technical Issues sub forum; https://combatace.com/forums/forum/336-woffwotr-faqtechnical-issues/ . ALSO NOTE please do NOT post any WOFF log files in a forum - and do NOT post order numbers and such here - only send to support email found in the WOFF BH&H II FAQ.

Hi elephant The servers have sent the file out many times with no issues so likely a problem with your ISP or something along the route disconnecting you. Try the alternative download location (Press CTRl+F5 when in the download link window). See how that goes. Also don't leave the PC unattended, maybe every half hour or so use a different instance browser to open a different web site or something, perhaps something thinks your PC is inactive after a while.

Benchmark comparisons: BH&H II vs PE
Polovski replied to redwolf's topic in WOFF BH&H2 - General Discussion
OK edited. As in the other thread about mouse look, a good test would be Stock v Stock same mission - i.e. no modded configs. In theory by definition BH&H II must be less performance due to all the tons of extra animations and other features. However, there have been many other changes for example some improved aircraft LODs and so on so perhaps in places that accounts for some possible speed improvements or similar performance some users have seen. -

Polovski replied to redwolf's topic in WOFF/WOTR - FAQ/Technical Issues
One thing is you had lower settings in PE as you were using modded configs. Setting everything on "5" but then using modded configs means you already had lower quality visuals and settings before - in other words even though the workshop graphics settings may have said "5" they weren't 5, because the modded config underneath was in fact using lower quality visuals. So lower some settings and you may get similar results (and quality image) as before. A more useful test would be stock PE, on all "5" and a stock BH&HII on all 5 with same mission same place blah. -

Yeah no worries trotski100 I was replying to JohnLewis. Training is mostly so you can get the hang of flying and landing etc of course anything can be more detailed just takes years to do everything so with support who knows. Even though we have over 80 flyable aircraft in WOFF, we have a long list of others we could add, takes a very long time to make that many aircraft, and constantly upgrade them, and yes for sure we want to add more again next. We know very well what isn't in there of course been at this some years :D. -
He is a guy on your wing, and it will be the same AI pilot each time, mostly for fun so you can protect him, he can help you sometimes, but it's WW1 he is not glued to you. If you leave they have to carry on with the mission. You will always have him doesn't mater on rank or flight position, it's very simple thing. Legacy from older WOFFs where this was enabled by default.

Current known issues 2022-09-09 Issues found in Version 1.34 ; 1) In Jasta 26 19th Aug 1917. If you are a highest rank, you may see a message that a new aircraft Albatros DIII OAW has been assigned. However it then shows an Albatross DIII profile image, then says no aircraft avail for player. However you easily work around this - press Esc key when you see the message with no aircraft available (stops auto day advancement). Next when in the campaign screen click "Inventory/Workshop" area in the middle of the campaign screen, and then click on the aircraft area next to the player's name (top right area) to choose another aircraft. If you are a lower rank you may be assigned an Alb DIII. You can use this or change it as above in Inventory/Workshop screen.

OK thanks. Nothing has changed in the mouse look code, so maybe needs some tweaking via game settings or check GPU settings. -
Great PaladinX glad you found it. 4 -step trigger sounds impressive :)

Tips for Newbies who want to use TAC
Polovski replied to Adger's topic in WOFF BH&H2 - General Discussion
..and one thing, when saving in Notepad make sure filetype is set to *.* first in notepad, then save as ViewUi.xml otherwise it will save it with .txt on the end which won't work! Thanks Adger. -
WOFF BH&H II - Install Notes
Polovski replied to Polovski's topic in WOFF BH&H2 - General Discussion
There's nothing wrong with UE or PE. So if you have UE or PE they will still work fine, and you can fly hopefully for many years to come. BH&H II has taken 18 months of solid full long days working hard to make, so we believe it's worth it. -
I was going to leave this one as it's fairly obvious I thought :D Wingman On means you get an assigned wingman who flies along side you. Wingman off, means you don't (in WW1 you did not really have an assigned wingman so default is off).

See the post I made to Puffman above, alazko please. The 3 steps are also what you need to look at. Also as above.... File size is 9.55 GB (10,262,728,607 bytes) if you have redownloaded, check the other 2 points I mentioned above please.
