Actually as a side point, we were using "The Great Air War 1915-18" as a sub title around Phase 2. BTW we have chosen a new name, hopefully sometime soon we can reveal it.

Turn on the hit messages you may see more things being hit, but as the guys say the idea is not to get hit. It may be worth playing with slider settings and other craft to see if your experiences change.

When does it come up, what exactly do you click on to get it ? Firstly you need to think what could have changed recently, did you install/uninstall any programs? Is your drive out of free space ?

Make sure you anti virus is not blocking our OFF.dll. Try increasing sliders lower sliders = lower AI too. Search the forum for other discussioover the years. Single shot is possible but it shouldn't happen always of course but I can't comment on a mod. There are way too many variables to cover. Camels at low level is a very bad idea to turn sharply too, you will loose too much alt in a right hand usually, and left the nose comes up and you stall.

Hi Guys, here's 3 screenshots of the new summer scenery of Flanders coming soon in OFF2 and showing the updated Roland model, and cockpit and a texture. The scenery has been improved more by Winder even since the last video and is looking stunning. Note: many sims have just 1 or 2 terrain tiles total, but OFF not only has each major region with different terrain - Flanders, Marne, Verdun, Alsace, and England - but also they have Summer Spring Winter and Autumn.

It is a shame some get moved but yes add a little relevance to this forum too and perhaps it will stay.

SE5a in the sim should make around 18k depending on fuel load. Make sure you lean the engine of course. Make sure you do not use a "no-cd" exe there is a "50 yard bug" in some as they are not 3.1 or buggy and you can shoot all day and not hit.. do not fire from directly behind as ramblingsid says above a 5 degree either side should help. You will get varying kills from 1 bullet to several 100, just as it was. Manfred v R shot 900 to kill Hawker. Make sure you install all patches if BH&H.

Because there is currently no facility to chose craft (other than by squad in campaign - QC it's different of course). At some point we could mix some squads up and add more variety but you'd still have to know which squad to pick etc I edited field mods because that isn't something we are "specifically" doing across all craft, and not exactly what I wanted to say , that's why we edit ;) It's just a taste and to add some variety to the SE5a of what was actually there or going on. As I said, you CAN choose to fly an SE5a with Aldis, or a Viper without. We will never cover all things and please all, but we hope to give everyone something and built a immersive WW1 sim to give everyone a taste, I'll look at it again sometime but right now have to crack on so I'm out..

The ARE fitted to the standard SE5a as I explained. Only the Viper doesn't have it, and I think I explained why. As Shred who is our historical expert explained they were sometimes removed, so this one has it removed. In OFF we not only like to have factory craft but sometimes reflect what was actually used by some pilots as that's what we are trying to simulate. Also it gives other people who prefer NOT to have it the chance to fly without, just like you would like to fly with. Fly the SE5a as that's what most people would have been doing and you will have an Aldis.

BTW the pilots have the German hard hat type looks a bit silly but I think in a crash you'd rather look silly than splattered.

Actually it is fitted to the most common SE5a in Phase 3. It is not fitted to the Viper in P3, because we chose to do that - as Ted says it was sometimes removed and as it mostly gets in the way, and we have two types Viper, and Se5a we chose to have it not on one then it also helps give a different experience apart from bigger engine. It doesn't work as well as real one so not as useful and gets in the way instead but still fun enough to have on one of the variants. In P4 it's improved a little and also only on the SE5a (then those that don't like it can fly Viper or earlier SE5).

There are 100s of shots from OFF2/P4 including the new variant SE5, and updated other SE5a's. Have a look a on our website. Yes the video has the SE5 and SE5a's in there updated in many sequences. ALL craft shown in that are updated. It's a generator Olham. The pits tend to vary a lot. This has a radio set in the rear and a winch for the aerial.

Yes please post comments and spread the word guys and vote for the vid etc. I'll post a few more pictures later hopefully. We are flat out trying to get things done so little time for keeping regular pics and vids sorry!

The number of flights varies tremendously over the time periods and areas. Also if you turn all aids off and don't warp or use labels etc you will probably miss flights passing - as it was you will pass many by without noticing each other ;) so it will seem more realistic number wise. Thanks for posting the personal review Capt.

OK good luck with the OS reinstall sceptre. Could even be something interfering like virus etc so a good idea to clean out every so often.

Good post Olham, immersion is where we are at :) Capt; if you have a webcam did you not try FacetrackNoIR? Don't want to veer the topic but just an idea if you are short of cash, get a cheap camera they recommend, then use that.

Streakeagle is right, I wish this was talked about more on TV programs too as the general mass of Web users are years behind in understanding. One AV program is not enough these days. You should install Spybot, run malwarebytes, maybe get a trojan detector like RegRun, UnHackme, or Trojan Remover too - as many as you can cope with to check your system several ways, especially when things like this happen. There are root kit viruses too (great that Windows allows programs that run in hidden streams erk...). Also get a decent firewall that prompts you more than the MS bult in one. There are plenty of free AV killers, malware scanners, and online scanners by reputable companies (always research well before using one that you come across).
