    BTW I think OvS here is talking about the actual sounds being fast. We set rate of fire in the gun settings - and we calculated at the time but we can probably look at again. Lewis guns usually have no issue as there is no prop in the way :)

    Also press T when viewing one with Irfanview and it brings up thumbnails. You can adjust the size of these to taste, then you can scroll through quickly top find and still get a good impression when hunting for a particular pattern whatever.

  6. Aye it's a bug with CFS3, in OFF to fix it we put our own pilots in there rather than using CFS3 models. Not something we can fix for other CSF3 mods.

    Winston no need to keep bringing up the minor issue of a bomb bay door. It's always been that way and known. IF we can fix we will but it won't be P3. re the gunner yes the guy was likely dead or wounded but if you think about it jumping to the back seat is hardly reaslistic either. Just bear in mind when all said and done it's a computer program and not perfect by any means. We try.

    This very video, and many others are already in OFF. Enable campaign videos in Workshop and you'll see them. Or browse to ..\CFSWW1 Over Flanders Fields\campaigns\CampaignData\CamVids "OFF_brit start Sopwith Strutter.wmv" is that one for a start.

    It was always possible to drop the bombs with the bomb bay open in the strutter - it was that way when I made it. Nothing changed there at all. Rockets in MP not sure probably a loadout issue in the XDP used for MP (for which you probably use a different one?, do you use modified ones?) - there are several options in Workshop for MP XDPs.
  11. Currently the AI fly the same FM. The fact that some things don't affect it like wind, can make some behave differently. We could stop that and make 2 FMs one for the AI to try to make it behave like it would, and a different Player FMs. We have also done many things to help balance but there are arguments the other way too, AI is not human, possibly never will be. Take away all advantages and then you will be the super ace winning the war, given already we have 1000s more hours than real pilots then. Then balance is affected the other way too. The RPM is not the problem per say FB, as I mentioned before. The craft climb and fly at speeds and alts as they should where possible for the player and turbo is adjusted based on engine/carb types Testing is done by a player flying it so it's generally good for the player. AI are also checked to make sure that they can take off (and with other loadouts) and form up properly, and fly in formation etc with the player FM, and dogfight well, fly low, high etc, you get the idea. They have "turbo" added in many cases to allow for a large variety in engine performance at altitude. Adding more power will give you the player a different FM, and boost it over the AI so yes you get a better craft. P4 we are doing many things but exactly how it will all come together who knows. OH and BTW just about all flight sims out there have similar AI issues. It's just not feasible to have the AI behave and fly identically to the player (until we have super computers at home), it's not a player it's a computer. However we have eliminated many issues along the way and think it's generally pretty darn good.

You need to update HITR to the latest version Javito, there's a Workshop option to not auto exit immediately (although if you hit the ground hard it will still exit). and btw in Workshop you can also set campaign to "auto/manual advance" which means you can time advance to the next day etc if you want to "go on leave".

    Never heard that before SGC, maybe if you slow down and try to test which keys sequence, or combination make it stop it working? Could be you have an odd one bound somewhere that screws it once pressed, also check for any other background program that likes to have hot keys assigned.

    Yeah exactly BH I like the odd thing like that sometimes you have no idea why something happens, but it all adds. P4 we can look at adding a more features around failures as there are not enough ways to die yet :D.

    There are engine failures in there, from oil, fuel, or just general damage - occasionally fairly rarely they pack in for no apparent reason too. Some controllers you have to calibrate all axis before take off, including throttle, rudder etc. My Saitek Cyborg for example needed that.

    Fab, loved wings (as much as Red Baron 1 running at 5 fps on my Amiga :)) The music I love too, simple by today's standards but catchy and evocative.

  23. thanks nbryant, mm if you put the latest updates on you can choose not to exit the sim when dead/badly damaged try that it may help. Otherwise make sure you have a 3.1 cfs3.exe too.
  24. One Zero -the weather in realistic mode is based on historical data. The weather really was bad. Given they did fly on iffy days, there was a war on. If you don't like those things, try the copious options in WORKSHOP. Things like random weather, change the AI gun range, 2 seater skill etc. The missing planes? Yes everyone says where is the <insert favourite craft here>. Takes time, we'll get there one day lol. The front lines are pretty accurate (more than just about any WW1 I can think of ever) some areas were not clearly defined, and broken with untouched woods/ground, it was not all brown mud. So balloons would also have to cover all sorts of areas too. Bear in mind it's a sim so it's not possible to make everything perfect, and exactly as real life, but many many things are extremely well researched and close as we can get. We are trying. P4 will be even better. AI try the other mode, see Workshop again. Fails to appear on your score? You put a claim in I guess?

    Hi Tracer168 welcome. Wow unlucky on both counts :) What date where you at when the mission stopped? Did you perchance have a weird character in your new pilot name? If it happens again copy that file you mention c:/obdsoftware/cfsww1%20over%flanders20%missions/historical/OFF_Camp_Mission.xml somewhere and send it to support please. Cheers
