Of course if you change historical weather it then becomes more sudo historical of course - tricky.
-
Basically the weather is very bad in from 1 Jan 1917 for about 10 days. We have fixed it so it will advance a day in training when bad weather cancels, but it will still take you a few clicks through all that heavy snow days with historical weather on! V1.32 will have the fix - not ready to release yet though. The two workarounds are to use AI weather Generation option in Workshops rather than Historical Weather. Or to set Bad Weather Cancels Flights to Optional (or no) so you can fly anyway in the bad weather.
-
Oh and you could set weather to AI weather Gen rather than historical and see if that gives you better weather to carry on. We'll hopefully look into it anyway.
-
I think it should not affect training at all really, as those missions are the days you did go up to train. Thanks for reporting. goose814 doesn't have to skip training as he has a workaround to change Workshop to allow flying in bad weather.

Thanks. I strain to see on a 34" 3440 x1440 screen (not quite 4K) sometimes, so yeah 17" with even more pixels packed in would be a real test ! As BB says you can also increase the font size in windows (can cause the odd glitch in some programs though), athough this won't change the fonts in labels when running the sim / in flight.
-
4K by definition (pardon the pun) is lots of pixels, so everything will be resolved smaller. However, 4K and on a much smaller laptop screen when compared to a monitor? You will get very tiny everything. You could try running a notch or two lower on the resolution in flight. Try setting 2440x1440 or similar, depending on your screen proportions, for example. Should still look great.

Good luck Trooper117, you have the right name to fight through that!

You can edit the viweui.xml in C:\Users\<YOUR LOGON>\AppData\Roaming\OBD_Games\OBDWW1 Over Flanders Fields these lines are the TAC. Try editing the BGscale to something else such as 0.50 whatever and see. <TacticalDisplay BGIMage="tactical_display.dds" BGPos="0 0" BGSize="512 512" BGScale="0.30" BackColor="0x1f0000FF" Mode="0"/> <TacticalDisplayMetric BGIMage="tactical_display.dds" BGPos="0 0" BGSize="512 512" BGScale="0.30" BackColor="0x1f0000FF" Mode="0"/> Of course backup the original in case of errors. To avoid dying if you like you can go into workshops settings, click "more" bottom right and change "pilot outcomes" to "easy" then you will never die.

WOFF BH&H II V1.28 UPDATE for 'Recon Wars' is now available.
Polovski posted a topic in OBD Software - News Releases
Good day to all, today we have released an update V1.28 for WOFF BH&H II users. Just the one item but good for those flying in Dual role/multi aircraft squadrons. Version 1.28 19 May 2022 1) Dual Role Squads: Fighter 'B Flights' are no longer recommended to load up Recce type equipment, because A flight actually carries out the Recce mission goals and B flight assists by protecting them. Of course this update includes ALL previous updates, including the recent 'Recon Wars' FREE expansion. -
Understood, there will be more flyables. For the WOTR expansion currently in development, I am working on a virtual cockpit as we speak. However, yes as it takes a lot of time and work, without support from sales we'll never get there ! Kind of catch 22 there. (Sorry to use your name in vain catch ;)). WOTR has something (like WOFF) and that's a real depth, a full on immersive campaign, and great A.I. to fly with and against. So that has to count for something other than "more flyables". There are sims out there that have many flyables and nothing substantial to fly them in.

Thanks Dutch_P47M we seem Ok with that one.

I changed it to West. Thanks for the vids and comments guys it will all help.

Known issues FIXED IN V1.23 available now 1) After updating to version V1.22, it will still show as V1.21 in Workshops. So for now... You can check you have V1.22 installed by going to the workshop and clicking on "Re Map Keys/Controllers" button top left. You should see the "Wings Over The Reich Function Bindings" program top left and it will say V2.0A on the end of the title Close the "Wings Over The Reich Function Bindings" and carry on..
-
Thanks to Rick for the 3 great videos - all in post #1 now.
