  6. playexpert ad

I see it. It's on the main page right under the ad for OFF.
  7. I haven't messed with IL2 for awhile, but if memory serves me ( and it usally dosen't ) most of the planes in IL2 came with a "blank" or "void" skin which was just the basic lines for a plane with a white background. I never used them myself because those with much more talent then me had made templates for use with psp (layers and such) so it was much easier to make a skin since most of the work was already done. I've found grey scale versions of the OFF skins in the aircraft folder, and have been trying to make a template from one of them (not with much sucsess though). When I saw the title from this thread I was just wondering if the skinners here were making psp templates for OFF too.
  8. Roger that. I did switch it back to normal after taking those screens and it looks about the same. Now is there some sort of templates for OFF aircraft (like the blank IL2 ones) lurking about somewhere, or are you skinners just working of the original artwork and changing it from there?
  9. If it's the same fubar (and I believe it is) who did the fantastic work for IL2? This is a screen using one of his skins. slightly modified by myself. They look particularly spectacular when the high res setting in workshops is used.
  10. Finally!

I've been playing OFF since P1 and never managed to make it the 17 hours.
  11. Cannot start after 1.30

I'm running OFF BHaH on XP64 also. I have a dual boot setup with OFF on both XP32 and XP64 and it seems to run better with the 64.
  12. I think I was right behind you there. By coincidence, I just started a new campaign with the nieuport 17, and noticed your post. (and on a side note...I finally have broken the 1.7 hr survival by lasting more than 2hrs...yeah I know it;s suppossed to be 17 hours but 2 is good foe me.) :o)
  13. That was one of those "sheer luck" shots I managed to capture with fraps. If I were any good I wouldn't have killed off dozens of pilots in phase 3 already. :o)
  14. Here I am getting a my arse shot to pieces by the nasty F2B's And a link to a utube video of said arse whooping. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dthCX57nAKQ

I may not be giving Garritan a fair shake as my version of the Pocket Orchestra is actually bundled inside another bundled piece of software (Dimension LE) within my DAW (Cakewalk Producer 7), so I probably have a very "lite" version. But I was right there with Matt as he had me in Abbey Roads studio, with the London Symphony and Choir the quality of the score sounds so "real", and of course very fitting to Over Flanders Fields "Between Heaven and Hell" (not to mention I do not possess the talent Matt obviosly has to write such a score...oh well I guess I mentioned it). The software Matt uses is a healthy investment though so I checked the link you supplied and may just upgrade to the Personnel and buy new rudder pedal to fly OFF. :o) Thanks for the link.

Presently all I have is "Garritan Pocket Orchestra" which came bundled with my DAW (Sonar 7) and a software piece called M-Tron (based very accuratrly on the 60's tape keyboard Mellotron) but niether of these produce an accurate sounding orchestra IMHO. I've been researching East West for awhile, along with others, but alas I'm a guitarist first and play keyboards more as an after thought, not in your league for sure, but I'm very impressed with the sound quality you achieved with East West. Now this thread has turned into a musical forum so I guess I'd better say how much your score has enhanced the flying experience in OFF/BHaH to keep it legit. Thank you for you responses as well.
  17. Ive recieved the OFF/BHaH DVD about 3 weeks ago and haven't stopped playing it long enough to post a heart felt "Whoopie" to the OBD team for the "best money I've spent" in a long time. Thank you to all the OBD team for a great WWI sim and to Combat Ace for providing the new forum. PS: my new wallpaper

I did a little more investigating on your soundclick site and read about the software you use. I think I know what to spend my tax return on now. :) I agree that a mac vs pc debate is not a proper subject for this forum, and I have never been able to afford a mac setup anyway, so I'm impressed and inspired that you did that on a pc.

You are very modest. I was hooked on the first part of the post where you had the London Symphony, Abbey Road etc: but am even more impressed that you got that sound from a computer. May I ask you a couple of question? PC or Mac? Software? Any who... It's a very impressive score and sounds extremely professionally recorded, not to mention your a very talanted musician. Thanks for making this avalible.
