A civil mod for TK's sims
Canadair replied to Gepard's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Streak this has been in the drawer for a while until Gepard raised the interst again. Indeed TK should see this, we 'd be honoured. Can you please post alink to the sim you mentioned though, I am familiar with xtreme air racing and wonder what they did And spillone, after yesterday's trials, the water-drop effect is coming out really well,, , thank you -

Closer than what you think... working on the CL215 -

British Isles Terrain Beta 0.4
Canadair replied to Baltika's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - File Announcements
Yes I noticed your custom tiles in the texture list, yet can you please post the texture names? I installed seasoned woe, and theretically I should have NOT overwritten those. I will continue runnnig experiments and report. So far so good. On the other hand the atmosphere has somethign "wrong". Perhaps it is just me, used to see those textures in germany, I have to see more. This is not a critic to you and CA stary of course. The Battle of Britain did a great job in giving that "brit " atmoshpere, I loved that terrain and campaign. As a note I updated the install to the new patches,, but the FM of the prop planes are SCREWED. As a final request is it possible to have a no- enemy version of the terrain for the fun of training over the english isles? It is just renaming alll the "enemy" with "friendly" right? and deleting the frontline entry? -
..Spillo predica bene e razzola malissimo ..No .No,, l'f-104 sulla portaerei NO..OK? A confronto Flight of the intruder sembra un romanzetto harmony.

Good Work Spillo. It is not that far from a real one. Need to be "buffed up" , made bigger, that is, but this is awesome job, thank you -

I really love it, thanks If I may say this would really benefit from seasoned WOE tiles and terrain enhancement, what do you think? -

A civil mod for TK's sims
Canadair replied to Gepard's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Yes I do fly those.. *blush* And thereothetically ay terrain can be used by having ground units designed as burning trees "formations" for the "enemy side" and for the "friendly side" you would have fire truck and firefighting personnel. the ground untis would meet.. and you would be called for CAS..i.e. firefighting... -

Perfect, my german friend, and thanks for the vogesen terrain Idea,, hmhm I need first eagle i guess,, is the system working in the same way,, I mean with the firsteagel .cat I can drop the vogesen terrain in my sfp install,, Back to firefighting.. as for the effect. A civil mod for TK's sims

We tried this a while ago, inice there is still interest! (check for pictures) http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=27676&hl= The Burning trees are modeled as "tanks" and the data is written in such a way that when "hit" the burning stops. We modeled a "water bomb" that was actually an effectless cluster bomb. The project stopped because we could not find anyone to make a water splash effect, and because the Canadair 215 model we have is far from complete We experimented with a system to ensure a "waterbombing firefighting campaign" with forest fires appearing in various spots of the map, that you get tasked to attack, perhpas with the help of ground vehicles and personnel. It is perfectly feasible with SFP system If the interst is there, I would really LOVE to complete this mod And since one might curious, Canadair215 (the model needs a lot of work) (the skin is of I-SRME crashed in one unlucky afternoon at tarkos lake northeast of Istanbul) -
OMG is that Georgia? I know all rivers look the same but I remember somethign similar

I Can't Decide on Upgrading to 2008 Patch
Canadair replied to TheStig's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Patching is absolutely worth the few hours of copying and correcting. I patched my one and all 51 gB install and it was absolutely worth it. Fastcargo and Wrench in this thread gave gave perfect directions
