Some great shots there - pretty cool seeing the A-1 Was at RAF Fairford today - the F-22A was doing its stuff - has to be seen to be believed - truly amazing low speed high alpha performance - all to the ending tune of the Transformers film and an enthusiastic USAF commentator Met a USAFE F-16CJ pilot in the burger van queue - of course I asked him if they still practised guns only Dog fighting!!

Yes its surprising how little trail they leave behind - although suspect the rocket motor has been upgraded somewhat since 1979 - will see if there are any 1980s launches to compare. With the DX10 graphics we should also be able to see the launch flash in lower light compared to how it was in SF1. -

depends on the sidewinder model In game after 1978 you would want to keep jets with sidewinders at a distance - before then they will be rear aspect so it would be a case of not flying straight in the combat zone for too long and checking your 6 constantly - they should be easy to avoid then. Viewing missile launches from jets is not easy in this game (even with a trackIR) compared to some others - and IRL is probably easier if you saw the MiG-29 shooting down the UAV (with probably an R-73) - left quite a smoke trail - reminded me of a Falcon 4 scenario Id seen too often! The same problem exists for IR MANPADs (SA-7/9/15 etc) launched at you as well - if you decide to add any in. -

Are you forcing on AA and AF in the graphics card settings? Also does that mobile low power graphics chipset you have actually do DX10/11 - or is it DX9 only? -

Target last radio call with um ctrl + R or something - check your control options. do that then padlock with F4 - which will turn your head towards that site - there is no way to target an incoming missile itself that Im aware of. -

forgot about that! - actually the AA-9 probably did as well - does the SF RWR actually pick these up? - cant remember ever putting AHMs in game. -
None of them are a patch on the F-16 - and where's the Spitfire - sorry no vote

The RWR will pick up airbourne radars - although in SF1 its VERY basic compared to whats in SF2 . Also note that it will only pick up RADARs - thats the radar on another jet or a radar on a SAM /AAA site etc - no radar guided missiles in this period have their own active radars so cant be picked up. in the MiG-25x_avionics.ini file check for similar to this [TextureData] RadarTexture=Cabina/RP-21.bmp RWRTexture=Cabina/RWR.bmp ....... Congrats Spain - Guess I was right after all! The ref probably missed the karate kick - the Ref also had a dilema of not sending off too may players in a WC final after booking nearly the whole team in the first 10 mins

Are you running the Oct 2008 version of WOI? 1. This has probably been changed in later patches - Make sure you always hit WP2 on take off - other than that WP 9 and 10 cannot be selected you must fly to WP 8 (thats your landing pattern). Regarding the ship - it does that with a non stock terrain/campaign - basically entries need to be added for ships manually for each target in <terrain>_targets.ini into the <terrain>_movement.ini 2. What date is this squadron set to start? 3. so you added a MiG-23MS to the campaign and have replaced the stock one? what does the squadron entry look like in the campaigns_data.ini? 4. So you edited the wav file and put it back into sounds with the same name? -

Was probably more impressed by the credit card sized solar powered calculator I had about 25 years ago. Why has it taken them so long to get a powered glider airbourne - and whats the likelyhood of an airliner ever doing 500kts on Solar power? -

Battlefield Vietnam in 2004 had a basic implementation as well - get in a jet, fly around (F-4/A-7/Cobra/Chinook/MiG-21/17/Hind, eject and carry on fighting in the jungle - couldnt really say it was a flight sim though.
