Strike fighters2 Israel.
MigBuster replied to liamp51's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
If you download a mod that was tested in a different or older version of the game then it may not work straight away for several reasons - however with a bit of tweaking it can probably be made to work. not sure what A-6 you have there but if its trying to use something only found in SF2V then it wont work unless thats changed -

Any new (or old) SF2 mods in the works?
MigBuster replied to malibu43's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Ive been playing it too long - and you defo need loads of the Mods - especially for the enviroment and other jets. Playing SF2 without GreenHell 2 and a sky mod even after 5 years of improvements - forget it! The majority of stuff out there can be made to work with whatever version of game you have - and when you start to change things yourself you might find out how addictive it can get!. The constant patch thing is annoying - but usually and esentially makes the game better so its livable - but can totally understand the frustration in having to find time to update the old stuff - it really is a big commitment. Sad to hear when people who have led the modding community for all these years decide to go their own ways - but nothing lasts foreever and we can be thankful for the many years of enjoyment we have had. This may be a turning point where things move on - or a point where other people with the skills decide to take leading roles, or a point where things stay as they are. As long as TK is about this series has many years left yet - particularly considering its competition. -
Higher Turn rate... how to ?
MigBuster replied to Dagger1's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
What game and patch are you using because i'm sure TK made the A-10 more agile in later SF2 patches after a few requests -

Whats actually happening with your effects and afterburner? I have noticed that the F6 Lightning has a white blob in the engine half of its 3D model - which only appears post June 09 - no idea whats causing that yet. -

Any hints for the Stock Harrier Campaign in SF2E?
MigBuster replied to Helmut_AUT's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Since WOI CAS with AAA has generally been a feature ive noticed. As for the Harrier - um fly low and keep the RPM down - drinks loads of fuel. Avoid MiGs if possible - you cant be held accountable for a wingman afraid to fly tree top level - he shouldnt be allowed in the thing :) -
RAZBAM sale has started!
MigBuster replied to FastCargo's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
A very nice haul - a bit of modding required depending on the game you are using but well worth it for the pits alone. Most of the A-1 fixes can probably be found on here -
questions
MigBuster replied to Vambrace's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Not sure on the pilots - may be linked to what level you play it at - cant see anything in the data.ini - could be the supply rate - am sure theres an old thread on this somewhere The Strategic nodes were manual only the last time i did a campaign - if there is nothing in the downloads then I suspect not. -
If you formatted the HD make sure you are using the correct SATA drivers for the HD - cant guarantee Win7 automatically has them. Check all the connections and all the jumpers - make sure the HD is being picked up in the BIOS.

Note the line that 2 of the MiGs are ready - after 20 years!! Iraq seeks Serbian return of MiGs The Iraqi authorities say they are negotiating the return of 19 fighter jets which were sent to the former Yugoslavia in the 1980s for repairs. A defence ministry delegation has gone to Belgrade to discuss bringing the MiG-21s and 23s back into service. A spokesman said the aircraft, whose existence had recently come to light, would be an important addition to Iraq's defence capability. Two of the MiGs were ready for immediate use, a statement said. The statement did not specify how the discovery was made or what condition the other 17 aircraft were in. At the moment Iraq's air force has no jet fighters, only helicopters, and it had been planning to buy 18 F-16 fighters from the US manufacturer Lockheed Martin. It is not known if the discovery of the MiGs will change that. Sanctions and flying restrictions were imposed on Iraq following its 1990 invasion of Kuwait, after which Saddam Hussein's government was unable to repatriate military equipment located abroad. After his government's overthrow in 2003, the Iraqi state collapsed and its army was disbanded by Iraq's US-led occupiers. Baghdad has struggled to rebuild its military capability since then. The Iraqi defence ministry spokesman said four Iraqi navy vessels had also been discovered in Egypt and Italy, as well as "aircraft and equipment in Russia and France". Saddam Hussein co-operated closely with the communist-ruled Yugoslav government and its Serbian successor, led by Slobodan Milosevic. Serbia's defence minister visited Iraq earlier in August and Belgrade has recently signed deals to export hundreds of millions of dollars worth of military equipment to Iraq. Sf1 terrains in Sf2?
MigBuster replied to Stratos's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
If its just terrain tiles and tods for a repaint then expect it work fine if you put it in the right place. If it references anything in SF1 that isnt there in SF2 then it wont work - also if the terrain has old ini files in it you may need to rework them using the new versions - but depends -
runs in Win7 64 bit okay on a quad core - put in the enbseries mod it maxes out too

MigBuster replied to viper11's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Make sure you have the correct version of the weps editor for that version of the game - only one will work. In your objects weapons folders ahould be all the weapons files and a file called weapondata.ini - thats the file that you open with the weps editor. When you save it with the editor weapondata.dat is created in the weapons folder also. If the weapons are showing in the editor and you have the above files then check the editor version -
Cant compare unless I bother sticking XP on my intel i7 PC (which wont happen) - but yeah Win 7 64 bit is great so far
-
Firstly - Make sure you have saved the file as bfops.cfg and not bfops.cfg.txt - because im sure that works for ATI cards also. Install the game outside program files also

installing l folders in to windows 7
MigBuster replied to manlyman564's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Yeah you can install SF2s in the program files as normal and it works fine.
