Thrust vectoring
Snailman replied to Veltro2k's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
Whoa... great work!!!! I missed this craft!! I guess someone who has the MiG-23 LOD, could make MiG-23PD too. Verticals rule )))) -
"Democracy" and Communism are both bullcrap coming from the same hole. What the Nazis said... protecting us from bolshevism an zionism... what the soviets told us, they liberating us from nazism and imperialism. what the NATO said, liberating us from communism.. the zionist say they purge us from nazism and bring liberal democracy. What if they all go to hell and leave us alone to live an prosper... We got in chaos and crisis deeper than in the worst commie times. Thank you all. Remember Athens... 60-80000 free-born athenians, the "choosen people" who had right to vote. The rest were slaves, debt-slaves, foreigners, outlawed aborigines, refugees. The Alliance of Delos... pay horrible tax to Athens, for protection, in the name of war against Persia. If you want to leave the alliance, here comes the Athenian Fleet to ruin your city walls and loot your polis. Why it is so similar to NATO?

Building a new Su-24 Fencer
Snailman replied to morteza1374's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
Thanks guys... then all is ok )) Well, not only language I think, but in some cases it could be national feelings and pride.. if you know what I mean. In many wars we or our countries might have been on the opposing sides... so I try to avoid "waving the flag, banging the chest" or those people who take that attitude ))) We are/were only mean in the machine, making war and politics are not our decision. -

Now I understand why me and my earlier help offers gained cold welcome... Well since then I released vertical pack beta, and next week 1.0 will be out also. I hope to convince the "old walruses" that I can do more than changing payload ))))) Well it's quite hard to be a new member here)))) -
Yea sad it is. The only western aircraft which still my favourites are Harriers and Tomcats. Both decomissioned... in favor of high-tech supercrap( Really sad(

Irans new Fighter - Qaher 313
Snailman replied to MigBuster's topic in Military and General Aviation
Looks promising but I'm indifferent yet ((( I really hope it's not a fake. But at least someone can construct something on their own, not just buying... renting or copying stuff from others. I do envy Iran for their president and for that they can stand up against the world-wide maffia. With the same spirit we wouln't be slaves long ago... -
Forgive, I don't really like their story. Its OK, Private Ryan was an awesome spectacle, but otherwise... mmm nah for me. Thats why the 9th place (it means not that bad)
-
I had the idea of making this topic myself))) ... well it is task harder than I anticipated.. I usually forget bad movies. 1. Szabadság, szerelem (Freedom, Love) - about the 1956 revolution in Budapest 2. Pearl Harbor 3. Battleship (IF we can call it a war movie...) 4. U-571 5. Dirty Dozen (sorry) 7. Bridge on river Kwai 8. Five days of war 9. Saving Private Ryan (again, sorry) ... I can't remember more yet.

I left this one out... (18)

Anything VTOL or rotor craft ))) -
I envy all those countries where this works.... In my county it does not. Apart from very few exceptions of course... Officially I spent 7 years in service, but what I have seen .... Women in military service combat or non combat alike are - to say the least - disappointing. It is EUs (or similar idiotic organiation's) order to keep them in military (and police) ranks, because "poor women are so much disadvantaged" and discriminated. In fact, they get ranks of sergeant in less than a year... or even officers in no time. We in the crew had dozens of guys who served more than 6-8 years as corporals or lances without any hope of promotion, doing the lowly work till growing old. In fact most of them always complain, while working in climatized offices in positions doing paperwork or just making coffee and being kind to senior officers. if-yaknow-what-I-mean. skyrocketing careers. In combat units, at least where I have met them they were primary whiners about everything. Ohmygod, no water, too heavy, do I have to do this, ... even disobeyed orders - without any punishment given by commaning officers. Being on sick call and leave for months. Happen to be scolded they whine even more, that they are discriminated being women... We had to do physical work 6-8 hours, on open sun. We did not receive our water because "someone" who was sitting in cool office called sick of heat. and so on.... the list is long. As I said, I do envy those places, units, armed forces where there are "girls with balls" who aren't like that. Here they can do anything, no regulations, even if there were, noone would enforce them. So ranks are filled with "relatives-to-generals", lames, debiles, weaklings... and the compulsory number of women. Damn I'm happy I left that circus.

Sure, Mount & Blade is the best of such games. Especially beause of high level modding. I was playing it with 1866 wildwest mod and Rus 13 Vek (13th century) with polish and rus. Damn I hated crusaders LOL ))))) -

I never heard about this one... never seen(( My guess... a modded one? For me old Hind was best because of overall play experience not just realism (DCS KA50) or graphics. I grew up on C64 Apache, Elite and Pirates, I don't give a damn about graphics )))))) -

(Not)realistic speed
Snailman replied to Stipe's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
thats what I wanted to say... The MiG-29 is on of the planes I tested a lot, and it indeed showe adequate performance... It is matter of modelling, however, in case of addon craft it may not be accurately done. But most of the case our add-ons are well done in this matter. Speed in this game depends on a lot of factors... mainly aerodynamic drag and thrust altitude tables, against engine power. -
what just happend?
Snailman replied to Teras's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
After you have run the EXE file, it will create the addon dir. Example: Strike Fighters 2 NA.EXE will create the addon dir ....Thirdwire/StrikeFighters 2 NA (I have XP) you will find the options ini in the root of this addon dir. All mods will refer to this as "The Add-on Dir or folder". If you rename the EXE, it will create a new addon dir with the changed name. This way you can make back ups or clean addon folder for a bigger mod. Like... Strike Fighters2 Falklands for example Oh, FYI, if you enounter such... If you don't have a specific folder within this Add-on folder, and the mod readme forgot to write, usually these are the subfolders of your add-on folder Controls Effects Flight Objects PilotData Screenshots Sounds Speech Terrains And within Objects folder you should have Aircraft Decals GroundObjects Guns Pilots Weapons Not that some files will be in the root of certain folders (like tracersX.tga). If the addon maker packed it right, you only have to copy the stuff into your add-on root. -
Strike Fighters Israel released for Android

))) Well... smartphones are also for the rich... status symbol. Like every advanced gadget they invent. I'm definitely not againt development... IF it is rational. And used as intended. It was fun when they developed phone cameras and we could make ridiculously bad quality pictures)) But nothing more than a short life fun. I do think that things have their purpose. A phone is for messaging, it is their prime purpose. It can have secondary functions which are mostly emergency back up function or unnecessary luxury... We do buy digital cameras and laptops and pc separately because their primary funtions are better. On the other hand it is true, that for example we don't need walkmans separately to listen music.. thats good indeed. All in all, I will not buy an uncomfortably large phone with uncomfortable touch screen just to play games and strain my eyes trying to browse on its tiny screen, while sitting on the metro. Especially not just to brag with it in a city where they could get knifed for 5$... Just my subjective opinion) Not intended to offend anyone. PS. I also have a "smartphone" perhaps the first with touchscreen (AND regular buttons) and handwrite recognition... from 1999 )))))))) -
