As Jimbib say's it was BioHazCentral before becoming CA, we all kind of migrated over here one the bickering and infighting over at SimHq got a bit too much. I joined in October 2003 Things were pretty calm to start with then then YAP fiasco erupted....( nothing to do with theft, this one , before you all start.) Caused a bit of unrest and bad feeling against some of our key members.....but like most internet forums things eventually calmed back down , and here are 20+ years later still going strong.
  2. Zero byte screenshots............makes no difference what format I use and no set pattern to it happening. Really frustrating Anybody else suffer from this issue?
  3. Thanks for all the replies, it's good to know it's not just me. Like I said earlier I've tried just about every combination I can think of....waiting to hear the screenshot sound, taking it slowly single shot, gunning my screenshot button, on the ground, in the air, over the sea, clouds or no clouds, high or low cpu/gpu and ram usage etc, etc....no joy. I guess it's just one of those issues we'll have to put up with.
  4. Wot to do, Wot to do !!

    Thrustmaster Warthog maybe ?
  5. Chances are that even with a 4gb card you are still running out of video memory, especially if you've got lots of 4096x4096 textures to load.
  6. @yakarov79....beautiful sabre dog. Quality work there as usual Pete.. Just a shot .......
  7. Looks like a small alpha channel mismatch to me.

ALL work by ME ( Sundowner ) is now no longer covered by the CombatAce Freeware Licensing agreement. What this means is that you can only use my work for your own use, you CANNOT re-upload it or any part of it. So please no copying of my skins for any use other than your own. This model is a is yet another rebuild of the old TMF max files which I was working on from the very outset. . It is is no way designed to compete or to relpace the versions released by daddyairplanes, so dont try to use those skins on this model....the maps are different. The RF4-C nose has had a complete rebuild since the DA version as the nose profile is completly wrong along with more accurate air conditioner intakes and camera windows etc, etc The fuselage also got rebuilt to cure many shape issues and to give a more accurate undersides. Too many small fixes to list DO NOT INSTALL OVER ANY RF-4C-65 MODELS YOU MAY ALREADY HAVE..................re name this one! Please read the readme....it's for your benefit not mine.

  14. But are those settings just related to in max settings ? not the actual object itself....if you get what I mean ? If you select any one of the vertical edges and then select loop, only 2 adjacent edges are selected, but if you select all the polys and slice them vertically, then select an edge then loop all the edges along that "line" are then selected. Surely this means something is amiss with the actual object Sorry I'm not very clear here, but I'm sure it's something to do with the way the canopy has been created. Having a bad day health wise.....
  15. But why ? Surely someone can paint/build whatever they like and leave it up to the person downloading the particular mod to decide which version they like best. There really is a great fear on here about somebody doing a better job than their own. Not trying to cause an argument but just stating the way things have gone......
  16. Quality as usual there mate....although that horrible sticker thing on the tail of that bird could do with toning down a little.....
  17. I've found exactly the same type of things with the F-4B/C/D and all the RF4's, so many tiny little things that you dont realise are out of place or shape until you start to go into greater resolution skins..........are they worth correcting is a hard debate as everybody has been happy with the old poor but good enough models for all these years. Very few folks really know how much time it take to make the "small" fixes in max so personally I only make them because I want to make them for myself......time permitting. In the current climate everybody only seems pure "eye candy" and "historically accurate" in markings only type stuff. This is not a dig at DA or any one else as they are doing a great job of polishing the turd as the saying goes.
  18. I'll be releasing these and more in the next "two weeks".......... But they will be without decals versions.
  19. Looking great Volker, I had similar issues when re-doing the RF-4B.
  20. Just build yourself a custom loadout in the loadout ini.

What we have here is an almost completely new RF-4B model, there are 3 separate versions to choose from all with small differences and skins. They are all from VMCJ-1 which was the only RF-4B unit that was stationed in Vietnam for almost the full duration of the war. Please read the readme as I'm struggling with using a keyboard at the moment..... RF-4B_Update_1.7z Submitter Sundowner Submitted 08/14/2024 Category F-4
