  1. Really...? What is the point of posting a screenshot from another commercial game model...I guess to get likes for unjust credit... Didn't you already get called out here: Anyway, obligatory silly screenie - down on the farm making an honest living.
  2. Or you could be patient and wait for the When Thunder Rolled Vietnam-era version (camo and natural silver metal masterful skinning with great appreciation to Carlo/Soufreak), but better be patient or PM us. Otherwise, grab the dilapidated version from other silly sources.
  3. F-105s....F-105s? Is someone actually referencing the Vietnam conflict other than myself and Sundowner? I thought all us old geezer fans long disappeared. Anyway, we like F-105s. A lot. But not enough to make one with functioning bomb bay doors, since as Wrench and others shared even though designed for that capability they were never used as intended. Fun fact, our project advisors including Thud Pilots shared that many times the bomb bay doors were literally sealed/riveted shut. But who knows, maybe just for fun in the future we'll add that functionality but definitely put it on the "wish list." Well, since you brought up the topic, just for fun here is our latest Thud updates and bonus sneak peek of WTR Terrain and Atmospherics 2.0...
  4. For those familiar with the project, the When Thunder Rolled era is primarily set from May to November of 1966 during Operation Rolling Thunder over North Vietnam. While that helps limit the scope of aircraft, it does not mean we are limiting the development efforts. We'd like to solicit your feedback, please. Which Vietnam-ear aircraft/helos would you like to see made available - of course up to our high fidelity standards the best we can. As a reference point, when we last ran this poll, the Skyraider ended up taking the top spot followed by the F-100F and the Mig-17...your feedback welcomed and encouraged. Bonus Screenie - and thus, this was made reality...any talented and interested Skyraider skinners please PM me...
  5. Hi all, thanks for the updates and feedback - much appreciated. Your feedback absolutely does make a difference.
  6. Hello, thank you for your comments. The project was always intended to be mission-based, but during early alpha builds some talented modders did create a campaign for it so there is definitely that potential.
  7. If you're reading the book you'll absolutely have an even greater appreciation for the project, especially as we are replicating the missions not only as the book describes but in accordance with Ed's actual flight logs. Just curious if you have a favorite mission/experience in mind you're hoping to enjoy?
  8. Maybe so. Right after we finish building 1000s of miles of the Ho Chi Minh trail and accurate surrounding elevation. And then finish up 100s of miles of the Vietnamese rail lines. Then we will work on the major road networks.
  9. Still in progress. Yes, we have spent years working on this and continue to do so. In full transparency, we underestimated the lack of interest and community support/contributions so expenses have sky rocketed and delays elongated due to heavy reliance on outsourcing.
  10. If you've ever supported the When Thunder Rolled Project in anyway, first again accept my sincere appreciation and gratitude. I would ask that you please email me with your contributions list and an upcoming announcement at: admin@whenthunderrolled.com . If you're still interested in contributing in some way, we welcome and encourage you to reach out. Just to avoid any misguided speculation, this request is not implying any near-term release date. Thanks again, here's a good blast of early 2Q 2019 WTR screenies that are long overdue...hope you enjoy.
  11. RussoUK, we know contacts there and have negotiated licensing agreements with that team, PM me if you need more assistance.
  12. Still in-development, but here's a sample of the quality you'll get with the When Thunder Rolled project: Downtown Hanoi And one for the Mud Movers... Low Altitude Mig Patrol - North Vietnam
  13. A few When Thunder Rolled screenies as requested by select individuals: Our North American F-100F Super Sabre SAM Hunter in "bare metal"...
  14. @Soulfreak – that looks outstanding. Look at that attention to detail; side stenciling, placards, texture gradient/weathering, just love it! I know not everyone appreciates these kinds of details but it looks terrific. I guess I owe a picture since I responded here in the screenshot thread, so here's something similar in detail as we work to at long last to finalize the Thud after many years... but just to be clear the push buttons are inop (LOL).
  15. And in 2018 the demand for at least one "red-side" aircraft has finally made the development road map...
  16. Thank you for your interest, yes we are still working on the project.
  17. New one currently in the workshop...
  18. Thought everyone had the magnificent Gerwin's site bookmarked, but anyway it's in his signature line: On my homepage you can find a summary of all the Strike Fighters files that I uploaded: http://members.quicknet.nl/lm.broers/
  19. Not that one, but maybe someday this one...
  20. Cosmoseed, please do as Menrva mentioned - create a new water rendering technique, textures, and shader - let us know what you can offer to help, thanks!
  21. We like the diection of our WTR Jungle - but the best part is the new approach and techniques that not only provides a much more dense and immersive jungle but also maintains awesome performance / FPS (see early screenie).
  22. Finally made it up the priority scale, so it's underway...and plan to also do a new cockpit for it. If you are interested in collaborating or participating in the project, all support is welcomed and encouraged - just drop me a PM!
  23. I have to admit, I love the A-1 Skyraider. Just curious if anyone was working on one and/or would be willing to collaborate on something like this....
  24. New screesnhot thread is tempting and it's been a while anyway....so here's a contribution...
