  1. Hi Klavs, I found one more picture that gives a perspective of the pit. The bird looks great! Skel'
  2. Hi Klavs. I have the problem fixed. I added 4 pictures but I deleted myself from viewing them on my members gallery (it's amazing that I can actually fly a real aircraft!). Take a look at these. I hope they help. If anyone knows how to help me out to where I can view pictures on the forum it would be appreciated much. Thanks! Skelator

  9. Klavs, I've got some pictures for you but I cannot attach them to this post. The file says that I've used up too much space and I am not sure how to delete the stuff so I can add the photos. Stand by I've got an idea! Skelator
  10. Hi Typhoid, Can you point me in the direction of where I might find the Mission planner? I think I am looking in the wrong place. Much thanks! Skelator

Thank you Craig. This is a beautiful aircraft! Thank you for adding it to a great simulation. Skelator

  13. Hello all, Just a quick question. I recently installed WoV and SFP 1 and uninstalled my older files. I added all the patches from Third Wire and added the latest weapons package. Everything is working fine. I did find something strange though. I have Paratroopers that appear with my fighter load outs. As a lark, I decided to attach them to the MF F-8 Crusader to see what they would look like. TO my surprise these giant Paratroopers appear on the screen. Any interaction causes a CTD. Has anyone else seen this and how do I eliminate the Paratroopers from my weapons file. I'm still somewhat of a newbie to the operations of things even though I've had the games for a little while now. Thanks to all for creating such a wonderful site. Check Six Skelator!

Thanks BattlerBritian and Capun....I will give that a try! Thank you for the quick response. Have either of you flown the F-22A or the JAS-39 yet? Skelator
  15. Christmas presents

How 'bout a romantic get-away for the weekend? My wife loves that kind of stuff. She doesn't care about jewelry...she told me she's happy with what ever I get her. She says it's the thought that counts. We've been married two and a half years! Skelator
  16. Hi Craig, I found the official Eurofighter Typhoon site from the UK (http://www.eurofighter.com/medialibrary/videos.asp). I do not know if you have these pictures, and my computer will not let me attach them. I hope they help. If you can access the site, take a look at the gallery search and type in cockpit. You'll find some neat stuff. One picture (gld-053339) has the HUD information transposed on the simulator screen, but maybe this will help with placement positioning on your HUD display (highres_ef022). the last picture (highres_GL-020168-16) looks like a publicity shot that was taken at the ramp. The pictures might help for gage placement though. You might have this site but I thought that it might be useful. It contains a video called "Nothing Comes Close". I saw it, for the first time, about two years ago. http://www.eurofighter.com/medialibrary/videos.asp She looks fantastic! Enjoy your vacation...I'm TDY right now and could use some down time myself. 17. Hello all, I am having a rather unusual problem with WoV. I have never seen this before in the 2 years that I have had the game. My son wanted to get used to Dads obsession with flight sims (when dad cannot go out and fly the real thing) so I installed SFP 1 and WoV onto his desktop. We were having no troubles until late last week (Thursday the 30th of August to be exact). We both experienced a wierd problem when we were flying a co-op on SFP 1. The aircraft were stationary but would go straight up and pass right through each other when you added power and pulled back on the stick. Both systems computers did this when we were in Multi-Player. Since then we have not been able to get the STP 1 to fuction in multiplayer again. Our next problem occurred in WoV. Only one of us could enter a session with the other player being left in the lobby (at which point the game stagnates until the host exits the green assignment flight screen). We had our settings on LAN, Co-op and tried both private and public connections. I would see him as not assigned when I would host a game, then I would exit. After doing this he could assign himself to a flight but would take over host duties, at this point I would not be able to enter the assisn page. The above mentioned stagnation would oggur. If I hosted, I could assign myself and he could not. His screen would not show the pilot or assign prompt but he could see me as assigned to a flight. I uninstalled the game on both computers and then reinstalled a clean version with the patches from third wire (Sept 06) and with the Jul 06 weapons package. We can play in multi-player but now we cannot save in single player, campaign or multi-player. The game dumps and goes to the desktop. An older version that we installed months ago does not do this, but it has the multi-player and phasing problem. We also did a scan check for viruses on both machine and found nothing. Any help would be appreciated. My son wants Dad to show him some "Old" stuff from when I was fortunate enough to fly some fast movers. Now I am regulated to a Vari-Eze. Check Six Skelator
  18. So, Super Sabres

USAFMTL hit the nail on the head. Speed and altitude is life. If you have to turn, do it while the MiG is not committed on you during the initial phase of your fight. I have engaged MiG (Sim wise) with the F-100 and with the F-105 (I'm too young to have flown them over there). The key to success is speed and altitude. If you are bounced, drop your tanks, if you still have them, push over, and extend. If you are engaging head on (which is what I recommend) put some 20mm rounds in the air and pass head on as close as you can. A slight descending attack works great here (stay in burner the whole time). Blast through, seperate, extend, and reverse (use a half cuban eight to reverse). On the reversal, make sure that you are well clear on the bad guy before doing this. If you do this too close in to the fight, you might find yourself with a very unfriendly wingman. Keep your speed up! Make sure that the other guy in the pair (if it is a pair) is out of the fight and that your bogey is not setting you up for a drag and bag. If the bad guy gets nervous and tries to dash for home, you should be able to run him down (cut him off with a lead pursuit). If he starts turning to face you while you're going after him, make sure that you engage him head on. Do not let him get even a slight angle on you. Then we are back to square one. If he's getting close to an advantage on you, then set your last reversal 180 degrees out from a course for home. If you do not get him on the last pass then you are set up to head for home. Good luck, and watch out for 37mm grapefruit! Skelator
  19. Thank you for the carrier ops information. I will give it a go! Congrats of your check and upgrade! Sounds like a lot of fun (and hard work too!). Do you train with Flight Safety as well? My last BFR (last year was in a Pitts S-2C). Fun aircraft, but the front cockpit is way too cramped for being 6 ft 2 ins tall! I might do some transition training down the road at some time. Skelator
  20. Hello drdoyo, It sounds like you have found a way of landing different aircraft (F-14s and F/A-18s) on the boat in WoV. I have tried to add a few carrier campaigns in the past but have not had any luck. Usually the 'boat' just is not there and the plane explodes when my screen finishes loading ('Tomcats over Libya' was the first one I tried to load). Any help in this area would be appriciated. What type of bird are you upgrading into? Skelator
  21. Hello, I tried to load the Falklands Campaign into a fresh version of SFP-1 just as the read me file stated. I loaded patch 3.2 and followed all other directions (delete all stock aircraft, load the latest weapons patch, etc). However, I was not able to locate the "New Cloud Effect" file. Once I got everything set, I tried to run a campaign and got a crash to desk top right at the 80% load mark. I deleted that version, reloaded everything (including athe latest weapons file - both times) and tried to fly again. The result was exactly the same with another crash to desk top. After a third reload I tried to fly a single mission. And to no avail I got a crash...Can anyone help me? I must be doing something wrong. On another note, is there a way to load the Digital Overload USS Nimitz? I tried to follow the read me on that one also and was never successful in loading. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks to all the modders and developers who have made this Sim great and have provided me with hours of fun! You all ROCK!!! Check Six Skelator

  23. A few other aircraft that had side by side seating were the A-6 and the F-111. While I was in Navy NFO training I was told that this aided in crew coordination. Albeit that our primary trainer was the T-34C! Skelator

Great work! I have a few pictures that might help you with your panel. As you can see it is a complete push-screen panel except for the MFD below the main screen. The stick is a side stick with a large throttle on the left console (like the F-16) Here is a great website for reference materials. https://www.teamjsf.com/ I hope that this helps. Skelator
