Naw..see..I'm what they call an airborne qualified mudhumper..I jumped outta perfectly good airplanes..(43 of em in fact..2 combat of the two combat one was HALO)...its us airborne qualified types that haveta go bail out da marines..after all..wherever the marines go..they blow things up all around em..I think they believe the pins are supposed to be out of the grenades for storage.. 91 D 20's rule DK

Having read about the real flight that scene depicts..Yeager admitted he was in G LOC for a bit before he was able to punch out..by the time he was able to do so..he didn't think he had enough altitude left to recover..and since the engine was dead he wouldn't have been able to use it in the spin recovery..the turbine had gone into a compressor stall as well. So he popped the seat...He caught a lot of hot water for taking that plane up without permission or a scheduled test..I think he even lost rank over it DK

I don't want them to change that..but when the fight is over..hitting padlock again to return to normal hud view would be better..using the snap views should not cause the padlock button to not release padlock and let you return to regular view..I mean..I only got so many buttons on my HOTAS..LOL DK

I'm runnin 98 SE and flying multiplayer all the time within the 667th for now..The one thing I have noticed about SF in its current state is it HATES any kind of fragmenting in the HDD which 98SE is prone to..if its giving you problems..scan disk, defrag, reboot, close all background programs and then try it..it might just surprise you DK

I think if TK agreed to tweak the AI that realistic thrust, lift, etc wouldn't be a bad idea..however TK has said that he is planning on tweaking the flight models for the aircraft as well...lets see what he does first.. DK -
When padlocked, if you use the snap view forward to do a quick check of the panel and for terrain out the hud and then back to padlock, the only way you can get out of padlock is to physically hit the 2d cockpit command F1, If you don't use the snap view to check forward, just hitting the padlock button will take you out of padlock..of the two..I prefer the second. Might or might not be an easy fix..but in other sims where there is but one padlock function..(not including F4 since switching between the two means switching to s different set of textures..) like IL2..just hitting the padlock again takes you back to straight out the "hud" or forward panel view..also..a lift line on the canopies would also be nice as a reference point when the target is at your 3-9 line in WVR engagements..ala F4, and FA18 (yes there is one stock out of the box..check your other commands section in FA18) DK
