And the price for these two planes on top of the rest of the game is ??? -
Spanish Civil War
Panama Red replied to Canadair's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Prop Heads Forum
Thanks, so what you are telling me is that you did not need to "tweak" any of the plane's FM's (as mentioned in another post) to bring them up to the Oct08 standard ??? -
Do downloaded aircraft appear as AI in Single Missions?
Panama Red replied to Helmut_AUT's topic in Thirdwire - First Eagles 1&2
I always keep the original game "as is" because if I mess anything up or want to check the original file data that may have been over written with a mod, I can go back to the original. Plus, when a new patch comes out, you need the original unmodded game to update. -
Do downloaded aircraft appear as AI in Single Missions?
Panama Red replied to Helmut_AUT's topic in Thirdwire - First Eagles 1&2
That is exactly how I have all of my ThirdWire games. I copy the whole game and just rename the base folder (i.e. WWI to WWI Western Front, etc). This way, I keep the original game/files and just mod the particular game that I want. Just make sure your Shortcut on your Desktop points to your new folder/game. -
Do downloaded aircraft appear as AI in Single Missions?
Panama Red replied to Helmut_AUT's topic in Thirdwire - First Eagles 1&2
As a whole, Peter01's update FM's have the Start and End dates close to reality, but there are some small discrepancies with some dates. If you are going to add a bunch of new planes, it is advisable to get Peter01's updated Flight Models (available in the First Eagles Add-on Plane section). He spent a lot of time trying to get all the planes to fly correctly and relative to each other with each First Eagle patch upgrade. -

The "fix" is to make sure you have the proper "ServiceStartDate" and "SerivceEndDate" in each plane's Data.ini file. (Month/Year). -
British_eh: Thank you, I had always just used the defaul controls, and this worked great. Panama Red

uncleal: I would like to remove the brakes too, but I'm not quite sure I understand you when you say "In Controls you Delete the Function of the brakes from the Pedals" ??? What Controls are you talking about ???

Track IR Beta or regular software?
Panama Red replied to Broadside uda Barn's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Homeboy: I agree that 5 Beta 4 eliminated the "snap lap" problem on 4.1.036 & .037, but when 5 Beta 4 caused the two other problems, I went back to 4.1.028. Since it was version 4.1.030 where they added the Vista support, I suspect that it has something to do with that which causes the "lap snap" problem, which is why 4.1.028 works okay. -
Track IR Beta or regular software?
Panama Red replied to Broadside uda Barn's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
I have TrackIR Pro 4 and I still have to use 4.1.028. The 4.1.036 and 4.1.037 have the "snap lap" problem and the 5 Beta 4 reboots my PC 67% of the time when ever I try to play OFF (works fine on my other flight games), plus I can not startup the PC with 5 Beta 4 on or it will disable my ATI Crossfire. As a result, I have stayed with 4.1.028 since it does not cause any problems with any of my games or PC. My PC specs: XP Sp3; AMD 6400+, ATI 3870 Crossfire. -
quack74: Definately loking forward to your new DH4 skins.

Installation procedure for CFS3 and OFF and extras
Panama Red replied to Broadside uda Barn's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
CH Pedals are strictly "plug 'n play", unlike some other items. -
If you do not apply, you will never get the planes needed, so it's your choice.
-
Pedals do allow more rudder control than a twisty stick, but pedals over a FF stick is all a matter of preference. Actually, the best thing of all for combat flying is the TrackIR before anything else. You can now get the TrackIR 4 for $99 and that should really help you in combat (plus immersion).
-
I bought these CH Pedals for 33% off ($100 versus $150) here and no complaints: http://www.amazon.com/CH-Products-Pedals-S...9704&sr=8-1

Are the SPAD VII 180hp, SPAD XIII 200hp and SPAD XIII 220hp going to be added to the game in future patches since these only require a FM change and no model change ???
-
The "blip switch" is in the engine section. Just disable it and you get your throttle back.
-
The reason that I say MOI, is because IIRC, TK made a comment awhile back that this was where the torque effect resided in the FE engine (memory is not as good as it used to be, so do not hold me to it).

Additional SPADs in future patches ?
Panama Red replied to Panama Red's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
SPAD VII 150hp service dates: Start 09/1916, End~11/1917 or 15 months (OFF plane) SPAD VII 180hp service dates: Start 04/1917, End~06/1918 or 15 months SPAD XIII 200hp service dates: Start 05/1917, End~04/1918 or 12 months SPAD XIII 220hp service dates: Start 02/1918, End 11/1918 or 10 months SPAD XIII 235hp service dates: Start 08/1918, End 11/1918 or 4 months (OFF plane) The SPAD VII 180hp was used as long (15 months) as the SPAD VII 150hp, so it is just as important. The SPAD XIII 200hp was used for 12 months (longer than either the 220hp or 235hp), but it was the one with the most engine problems so tends to be forgotten. The SPAD XIII 220hp was used far longer (10 months) than the OFF portrayed SPAD XIII 235hp (4 months). This is why I asked if these important SPADs will be added to OFF since it only takes a FM change to the existing models versus creating new planes from scratch. -
Torque IS modeled in the game, it's call Moment of Inertia. On the Camel_130 Peter01 made it: MomentOfInertia=8.10

Thanks for the the "heads up".
