    Does this mean that it will work perfectly on the Sp4 patch ??? As a result of all the Sp5 patch problem with mods, I have not upgraded any of my mods to the Sp5 patch, but staying with the Sp4 patch on those until these problems are resolved.
  2. Lexx: Thanks, that is exactly what the problem was. The HorizonVertexHeight was set to 0.100, not 0. When I changed it to 0, the ban went away. Just out of courisity, what is the advantage of setting HorizonVertexHeight greater than 0 ??? Thanks; Panama Red
  3. I noticed the same thing in my games using Widesky, but maybe someone can tell us how to "fix" it.
  4. malibu43: When I tried your location "fix", I got a CTD everytime I completed a campaign mission. When I replaced it with the original Falkland coordinates, no crashes. Sounds like there is a conflict some place. Panama Red
  5. Has anybody ever figured out a way to increase or decrease the chances for a certain type of weather in campaigns ??? I would like to increase the chances of "bad" weather in the Falklands mod (just like the real campaign), but have not found anything when using "search" that tells me how or if anybody has accomplished this yet !!!   7. I thank you for leaving the Squadron emblems on even though it is non historical, but I do question your roundrals. From all the pictures I've seen and what you show, the blue portion of the subdued roundral should be larger than the red, but your pictures show the opposite. Is this an optical illusion, or is your red portion larger than your blue ???

  9. With the new cockpit views under the Sep/Oct 08 patches, is there any thing that I can change to get the old F1 cockpit view back in the new patches ??? The new F2 & F3 cockpit views are okay, but I prefer the older F1 cockpit view where you are not quite as close to the gunsight/instruments and sat back a little bit more. Any help or hints would be appreciated. Thanks; Panama Red
  10. jtin: Thank you. When I modded the "viewlist.ini" that comes with the new Octb08 patch to what you stated above, it brought the original F1 view back. Apparently using the old "viewlist.ini" in the new patch, just did not cut it. Thanks again; Panama Red

I have tried switching out the "default.ini" and "viewlist.ini" files from my original 2004 WoV CD game and no change on the F1 view, it did however return the original F2 & F3 views, but I do prefer the newer F2 & F3 views. As a result, does anybody have any more ideas on how to get back the original F1 view where you do not sit as close to the gunsight as in the Sp3 and Sp4 versions of Wo"X" ??? Thanks; Panama Red

  15. You could always do what the Dev A-Team did with their AC-130a and have a "fixed" gunsite out the left window so you would not have the problems you mention.

  17. Wrench: Thanks for the tip on the Panther. With the info you provided me, I reduced the scale on the nose number decal and rear Navy decal on the F9F-5. As a result, I just have one single small white line on the nose and down the back of the plane, so it is much less noticeable than before (i.e. livable since this ".lod" will not be rebuilt any time soon).   18. Wrench: I took your advise and purchased the Razbam F2H-2/3/4 Banshee model since I could not get the old F2H-2 cockpit to wotk correctly. The funny thing is when I tested the new Razbam F2H-2 cockpit in the old F2H-2 plane, everything works fine now, but the new F2H-2 model so much more detailed than the old F2H-2 that it was a nice investment. As I continued testing all the planes from the old SFP1 sp3.2 to SFP1 sp4 port, I discovered that the F9F-5 Panther's skin across the top of the fuselage is a little messed up (strange stipes). It did not have this problem in the old Sp3.2 patch and does not have this problem in the WoV Sep 08 patch, so I can only surmise that it is the particular way the the SFP1 Sp4 (Aug 06) patch renders the ".bmp's". At least your tweaked F9F-5 skins do not show the strange lines as much, so I just have to figure out where the lines come from on which ".bmp". Panama Red
  19. When I tried the Albion last night, the plane blew up the moment it tried to launch from the end of the carrier, I just have to check the rest of them tonight and see if they need this fix too. I did a search and someone suggested that setting the collisions to easy would cure it, but it didn't for me. So I did some digging in the files and noticed some differences between the positions.ini and the Carrier_DATA.INI files. Through a process of trial and error I got things to work even on Hard collisions. The changes I made were: Edit the Carrier_DATA.INI in the Carriers folder. Change in the DATA.INI: All 15.3340 to 15.5340 [Hull] ModelNodeName=Hull EffectSize=1.0 //MaxExtentPosition= 28.98, 152.25, 19.58 MaxExtentPosition= 28.98, 152.25, 15.5340 [Deck] SystemType=FLIGHT_DECK FlightDeckHeight=15.5340 Basically the plane was being positioned inside the carrier at the start of the mission and hence exploding. Now I can actually take-off!! Now I just have to figure out how to fix the F2H-2 Banshee problem !!!
  20. Malibu43: Thanks, these made converting the Korean Air War mod very easy from my SP3.2 version to the SP4 (Aug 06) version. I have run into only two problems so far: 1. Exploding planes when taking off from carriers (I have the fix, just have to change the appropriate numbers in the carriers .ini's) 2. The F2H-2 Banshee take-off problem. When I take off with the Banshee, you start about 2 feet above the canopy and as the plane raises from the ground, you slowly sink into the seat at the correct height. I have tried different cockpits with no change and I have put this plane into different SFP-1/WoV mods (SP4 and SP5) and it still does the same thing. As a result, I can only assume that it is either in the Banshee ".lod" or in the Banshee "Data.ini" settings. Does anybody have any idea what needs to be changed in the F2h-2 Banshee to fix this problem since the Banshee works perfect in the SP3.2 version of SFP-1 ??? Thanks; Panama Red
  21. I had the same problem in the Falklands/Malvinas mod (installed in SFP-1) until some one stated that using the VietmanSEA.cat file versus the Desert.cat file would solve the problem (and it did). You might try the same thing and see if it solves your problem.
  22. In Johan217's Middle East Wars v1.1 mod, he calls for some Israeli F-4E skins for his campaigns. I have looked at a number of different websites (including Combat Ace) and the only Israeli F-4E skins that I can find are for WOI, not for SFP1 mods. Does anybody know where I can find some SFP1 Israeli F-4E skins for this mod (WOI uses a different nomincalture than SFP1). Thanks; Panama Red

  24. Thanks, Avsim had the ones I was looking for, but in the mean time I had reconfigured the WOI F-4E skins to work in the SFP1 Middle East Wars v1.1. Now I will just have to see what his difference is between the WOI and SFP1 F-4E skins.
