For those of you who encounter the same problem I got rid of the web browser bar by removing a program called WEB BAR which actually came with the Chrome download. Problem solved. Thanks for the advice Jedi Master I thought it was a settings issue.

I did get the download from Chrome and it is a Chrome browser but I will look into the downloaded programs. Thanks for the reply.

Panzer Elite Action First Eagles IL2 Sturmovik Quake 3 Arena F.E.A.R. Delta Force Silent Hunter 3 and 4 Call of Duty 2 I usually try to get hold of demos first before I actually purchase a game, just to see if I like it. There are loads of downloadable demos out there to chose from............

IRON FRONT looks okay, I have tried STEEL FURY in the form of a demo, but my computer didn't like the game one bit and eventually refused to display the game. Maybee I will just have to commission my own PC tank game one day, and have it just the way I like it. But thanks for the suggestions and subsequent video's 33LIMA. Cheers RUSTYMORLEY

Hmmmm, Panzer Command graphics look a bit crap and basic, do you know any other Tank sims other than Panzer Commander, Panzer Elite and all the Multi-player online games. I am old school and would like to be able to get my hands on a good Tank Sim where I can drive a couple of WW2 Tanks and drive from outside instead of having to constantly switch position. Bit like an arcade style but with good graphics.

Thanks for the link 33LIMA and the comparison table. Even though it looks a close match on paper I bet the Comet tankers would have soiled their pants at the sight of a Tiger bearing down on them, and I bet they would have been hammered by the Tiger as an 88.mm slug passed through their armour. Cheers 33LIMA RUSTYMORLEY

33LIMA - going back to British tanks of WW2 how do you think a Comet would have faired against a Tiger? I am led to believe that this was one of the best and more advanced British late war tanks. This is also probably one of my favourite British tanks of WW2. Is there any historical record of Comet tanks engaging a Tiger - and if so what was the outcome. I suspect the Comet tanks came off a lot worse, but please make my day and suprise me if you can find anything that indicates that the Comet's won the day!!!

If I had been given the choice of having a Tiger or a Churchill or a T-34 with the short barrelled gun during WW2 - I would have jumped in the Tiger very quickly. I have read a few stories about confrontations with better armed German tanks like the Tiger in the North-Africa campaign and our guys who were using Churchill's and Crusader's had to rush the Jerry tanks and get in close before they could get a shot off which would hope to penetrate their better armed opponents armour. I believe the Crusader tankers even coined the phrase 'Crusader Charge'. If you have ever played Call of Duty 2 there is a 'Crusader Charge' mission in the game, although it is not against Tiger tanks. I'll take the Tiger anytime thanks.

Its hard to accept that a Churchill with a crap gun was able to kill a Tiger!!!!

Life is so unpredictable you never know what's around the corner. My elder brother died several years ago, I never saw it coming, I just picked up the phone one day and my mum said that your brother died yesterday - she got told by his girlfriend after the landlord found him dead in the house. I just could not make any sense of what was happening!!!

Over the last couple of years I have been playing First Eagles 1. Having installed the game I have been able to add numerous aircraft courtesy of the fantastic range of add-on aircraft which have been produced by the Modders who have taken their time to create these wonderful aircraft and upload them to this site. And let's no forget the Skinners who also dress these wonderful machines. I would like to express my deepest thanks to Modders like Stephen 1918, Geezer, ojcar, Jan Tuma, panama Red, sinbad, Christain59, Petrer01 and many others who have contributed to this game. Credit where credit is due. Thanks for all these wonderful aircraft and the hours of fun I have enjoyed flying them. Special thanks to Stephen 1918 who has made a massive contribution to First Eagles having produced a phenomenal number of add-on aircraft and uploaded them to Combat Ace. Cheers to all of you and thanks again RUSTYMORLEY

It is very odd how some animals seem to mimic human behaviour, even down to making a new best friend!!!!!!

At the end of the day whatever the arguments are - it's really about screwing money from users, rather like speed cameras in Britain which are springing up all over the place fleecing motorists and making millions for the government !!!!!!!!!!

SF.1 Thunderjet Issues
RUSTYMORLEY posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Hey guys can I ask for some advice on fixing a couple of issues with SF.1 F.84G Thunderjet. Any advice you can give would be most welcome! I haven't got a shadow for the aircraft, how do I enable one or create one? I would like to change the default sound for the machine guns which are located in the nose because they sound really pathetic, but I can't find any reference to the sounds for the guns and therefore can't change it. When the aircraft takes off the canopy automatically slides open and remains open for all of the mission. Is there any way to keep it closed in flight? -
Held off on watching this ... now I'm sharing it. (How a homeless man spends money)

Two things about this video: It shows us all that even if a man falls into despair there is a will to help others!Personally speaking, I would have found him a job and got him started back on the road to recovery. -
Yes, I am a life-long fan and I can't wait to see it. Trailer looks good, but it does'nt give much of the plot away.
-
Saw it the other day. Liked it a lot, even though some of the shell impacts on the tanks were C.G.I. As I am a bit of a tank nutter I will certainly be buying it when it comes out on DVD. Top marks for using proper tanks not stand-ins.
