I thought that with you being a Yank you would have gone for the M4A3E8. However - a pleasant suprise! Would that have anything to do with the performance of the 17 Pounder Gun on the Firefly!

CrazyhorseB34, if you had been a Tanker during the latter stages of WW2 and you had been offered a M4A3E8 or a British Sherman Firefly which would you have chosen as your ride?

CrazyhorseB34, with you being a Tanker can you explain why the nickname 'Easy Eight' or 'Easy Ate' was given to this variant of Sherman? Was it something to do with the new suspension system and the wider tracks fitted to this variant which afforded a much Easier ride, or was it a reference to the longer 76mm gun which had more penetrating power than the standard short barelled 75mm gun making for an Easier kill ? I have heard both explanations, but from different sources!

So, we are a couple of weeks into the World Cup - anyone willing to venture a prediction as to who will be the outright winners!!!!

Maybee we should just keep out of all of this Middle-Eastern conflict and let the Arabs sort it out for themselves, after all it is an Arab problem. Out involvement in their affairs and internal struggles has just made them hate the Western powers and has cost thousands of lives. When the dust has settled then perhaps we can open a dialogue with whoever is in charge.

I think that a lot of the nations which have previously not been taken seriously as World Cup winners are now coming on strong and are hungry for success and a big win on the world stage. Good luck to them!

There is so much conflict in the world today especially in the Arab countries, it's a wonder we are still here. What other life form on the planet has devoted so much time, resources and energy into destroying it's own species.

33LIMA, Keep on going with your reviews of Tank games please. Am keen to see more, as I am on the look-out for a decent Tank sim myself - not to complex, plenty of different Tanks to drive, Mods availavble and a good shooter. Cheers, and thanks for the reviews so far - most interesting!

There is a big black Cat on my street called sweep, he is almost half as big again as most adult Cats. He also sits stubbornly in the middle of the road and sometimes refuses to budge when I want to drive down the street. I end up having to get out the car and shoo him away, but even then he is quite defiant and gives me the 'eye'. The swine!

Well he has gone off his food a little bit and has lost a little weight. I estimate that his is about 9 -10 years old. Have any of you ever had a Cat that is always licking his lips or is Gulping a lot. I have been informed that a Cat which is licking his lips a lot (not after a meal) is a sign that the Cat is worried or concerned a lot about something. Are any of you Cat owners familiar with this!!

If any of you are still following this topic, I have a question about older Cats. My Cat spends most of his time asleep in the house and has little interest now in going outside even though the weather is sometimes warm and dry. He used to be quite active and outgoing but over the last 18 months he seems more reluctant to go outside - I assume he is losing his confidence and perhaps afraid of meeting bigger and more aggressive Cats. I estimate that he is asleep most of the time and occasionally goes outside just to do his business and relieve himself, but then comes strait back in. If any of you own an older Cat does this seem normal to you!

The game which you call 'Tiger Hunt' was later remade by a software company called Strategy First into a game called 'Panzer Killer' which I did once own a copy of. I distinctly remember that you had to complete each mission very speedily as the fuel consumption meter went down very quickly and you had to find the top-up cans as soon as possible just to keep going! I will keep looking out for you reviews of Tank Sims as I am always keen to see if there is anything out there which I have missed.

33LIMA I am glad that you have provided reviews \ mission reports of these tank sims. Although I am a bit of a Tank nutter myself I am put off Panzer Elite by the poor cartoon-like graphics (which you have indeed mentioned). I do however play Panzer Elite Action 'Fields of Glory' and ' Dunes of War' which my son also likes. Will you be reviewing these two games?

My Cat will often jump in my lap and spend a couple of hours with me whilst I am on the computer, I think that it is a comfort thing and he feels secure and safe enough to go to sleep, maybee no so much a love kind of thing but more because he feels protected and is willing to drop his guard and go to sleep. I have also noticed that if there is physical contact (with your hand resting on him) he goes off to sleep very quickly. Again I think it is a lot to do with safety and security.

Have any of you guys played a tank sim called Panzer Elite Action - 'Fields of Glory' and the sequel 'Dunes of War'. If so are you aware of any Mods for this game and where they might be found \ downloaded. Thanks in advance for any info!

33LIMA, if you don't mind I have got a couple of questions about the two games. 1. Which of the two games do you consider to be easier to play in terms of gameplay and simplicity. 2. Can you fight and drive the tank from outside in both games (external view) with crosshair. 3. Which one of the games do you think is easier on the Processor \ Graphics Card. 4. In you opinion which of the two games is easier to play and overall best. I am thinking about my young lad here who is just getting into computer games and is becoming most interested with Tank games. 5. Can you drive any other tanks in the games. 6. Which is easier to Mod and has more available Mods. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide about the two games.

CrazyhorseB34, you could be right about him being lonely, maybee that's why he has behavour issues, although I do spend as much time as I can with him when I am at home, and he is quite content to spend a couple of hours in my lap whilst I am on the computer.
