Cats, so contrary. AAAAAAAARRRRRGGGHHHH!!!!
-
CrazyHorse B24. You're dead right about Cats being complicated creatures. I provide my Cat with fresh drinking water but he would rather drink from a puddle of water outside, I provide him with fresh meat pouches but he would rather go back to the previous days bowl of food which has been left on the kitchen floor, when I open the kitchen door for him to go outside he just looks at me, when I try to keep him in on a rainy night he kicks off and starts whining. I provided him with a scratching post but he refused to have anything to do with it but instead decided to rip the wallpaper off my bedroom wall. What the hell is going on!

New Linen Skins For Steven1918's BE2c
RUSTYMORLEY replied to Geezer's topic in Thirdwire - First Eagles 1&2 File Announcements
Thank you for the skins Geezer, very nice, I downloaded them today. Just a quick comment about the layout of the BE2c airplane itself. What kind of idiot WW1 aircraft designer puts the pilot behind the gunner which just about completely obscures his view, and places the gunner almost under the trailing edge of the upper wing which greatly diminishes his arc of fire. I think the layout of the BE2c was ill conceived and it deserved to be shot down in droves. -
Council tells WW2 Re-enactment society.. NO NAZIS
RUSTYMORLEY replied to UK_Widowmaker's topic in The Pub
Can't see a problem with re-enactments in general, if people want to keep doing this stuff then it's fine with me. For those re-enactment groups and organisations and private individuals who keep WW2 tanks and aircraft going and other WW2 machines they have my vote. I think I read somewhere on a Website an American guy owns a WW2 Hellcat Tank destroyer and has live ammunition for it and fires it on his own private farmland on a purpose built firing range!!! -
UK_Widowmaker, I have got to agree with that. I love my Cat, but a Cat is loyal only to himself and his needs and wants, and provided he gets what he wants he will keep coming back to you. As you say - Dogs are far more loyal, the picture you have posted with the Dog saying goodbye to his master is upsetting. Maybe I am being daft but I feel so sorry for the Dog! I sincerely hope that he was taken in by another owner!
-
Normally a Cat would steer well clear of a Dog which was twice it's size, but when a Cat feels threatened or it's patch is invaded I think the animal instinct takes over and the Cat reacts aggressively. As a Cat owner myself I don't think the cat was protecting anything other than his own territory! Cat's can do a lot of damage to a Dog's face and especially the eyes, claws are like needles, I think the Dog would have come away from a fight in pretty bad shape!

Not seen it yet but am looking forward to it. Looks great!

Over the last few months I have been building up my installation of First Eagles with some more add-on aircraft and some extra maps and aircraft skins. I also came across a sound file for the various engines which were fitted to WW1 aircraft which was produced by Nixou 2012. Although I did'nt think that sounds were going to make much of a difference to the game, boy was I wrong. Some of the engine sounds are really deep and throaty and reverberate from the aircraft in a heck of a realistic way. My game is much more interesting now thanks to the new engine sounds. I can thoroughly recommend replacing the standard prop loop sound with a real engine sound wherever possible. Sounds Great! Much thanks and appreciation to Nixou 2012 for producing the Engine Sounds File.

I have a Cat which I took in because it was a neighbouhood stray, now he does'nt want to leave. He will sit in your lap for hours on end, I think that he is reluctant to go back into the streets because he knows that he is getting food, security and shelter, and comfort. In a way this is what most humans want!

How to load out weapons for dummies
RUSTYMORLEY replied to glennhailstone's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
If you are referring to installation of new weapons so that they then become available in the aircraft weapon loadout screen, then I myself would also like to know how to do this in simple easy steps. I have had attempted to do this before when I have added a new aircraft which comes with it's own weapons folder, but to no avail. -
My young lad is just getting into computers and is able to play action \ shooter games on his PC. He seems to be very interested in WW2 tanks and first-person shooters. Can anyone recommend a good arcade-style tank shooter which can be played like a first-person shooter, and can be modded or added to or updated, which would also not be too complicated for an adolescent!
-
Streakeagle, thanks I have already got ARMA 2 (unmodded) but it is mostly modern era stuff, i would prefer WW2 tanks. However can you tell me where I might be able to have a look at some downloadable tank Mods for ARMA 2

Unfortunately the Ministry of Silly Walks would be abolished due to Austerity cutbacks

To be frank, i don't think that he could do much worse than the idiots that we have in charge at the moment!

The recent Russian Victory Parade simply demonstrates that there is as ever a need for diplomacy. A major conflict with the western powers would be devastating for both them and us.

You have missed one more option - stand for election and vote for yourself

The future of First Eagles
RUSTYMORLEY replied to Panama Red's topic in Thirdwire - First Eagles 1&2
Going back to the original title of this thread 'The Future of First Eagles' I was recently bitterly disappointed with the release of Canvas Knights and was therefore looking for a decent WW1 flight sim which I eventually found in First Eagles. I have modded my installation and I certainly hope that this game is continued and supported by Simmers and Modders alike. The fact that you can grow your installation and push it in the direction which you want with the various Mods packages and add-on aircraft has done the trick for me and made my choice of a WW1 flight sim far easier! -
I recently picked up a second-hand copy of First Eagles and decided to install it on my PC. I was aware that there were a number of Mods for this game which were available at this site and I have over the last few weeks installed several WW1 aircraft. I have to admit that the updates and patches along with numerous add-on aircraft have really improved the game. I have really enjoyed playing this game now thanks to all the Modders and Simmers who have contributed to this game. I have had LOADS OF FUN! Thanks

When Star Wars first came out I was totally blown away with it. I have been a fan ever since. Regardless of any negative, positive or indifferent comments, I intend to see the next film in the saga when it is released in Britain.

You could be right, I just thought there was some kind of 'incident' in ages past which caused the Germans to hate the Jews so much, and when they conquered most of Europe they were then in a position to carry out a supreme act of vengeance against the Jews. This is a most difficult subject and a controversial one!
-
Nesher, I am not much of a religious person, but I can't understand why the Jews and their religion were so despised by the Nazis that they were willing to embark upon a plan to rid the earth of all of them.
-
I can't understand why that building and the site itself was never flattened and buried for all time after WW2

Handley Page Halifax B2
RUSTYMORLEY replied to Veltro2k's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - File Announcements
One of the classic British Bombers of WW2, although like so many other British Bombers of WW2 which took part in the nocturnal bombing campaign against Nazi Germany - little more than Cannon Fodder for the waiting BF-110 Nightfighters of the Luftwaffe. Many thanks for this Veltro2K.
