  6. IL2 Cliffs of Dover status ?

including the yet to be created "Combats of Dhimari" SF3 DLC?
  7. funny you say that Malibu, as I was all about F-19 Stealth Fighter, then Stealth Fighter 2.0 (F-117), F-18 Hornet (like you) back in the early 90s, read about them in then quite new on the market here computer games magazines, playing the F-19 on Commodore C-64 (there was such version released! highly unstable though), then on my friends's 486, then my own Pentium with brand new Windows 95 and whole 8 MB of ram Dad bought me... it was all pirates back in those early days, my first PC sims I bought were Tornado with Desert operations addon on CD and Aces Over Pacific with 1946. It was 1996. Then came early 1997 and I bought Janes' ATF. That title was dream come true. All those planes! Those screens, the INTRO! Library, mission editor. Manual in blue jeans soft cover. Later, custom libraries adding cluster munitions downloaded via modem @ 2 kilbytes/s at school... Then around 1998, 1999 during the "simulators flood" from modern military I switched to WW2 and Luftwaffe sucked me in. Funny as some 12, 10 years ago I knew ins-and-outs of all Bf-109, Fw-190 variants and could draw all Junkers prototypes from memory, often drawing my own creations during boring lecture. Now I hardly recollect some data or designations. EAW was the title I choosed as my object of eternal love. Especially when I discovered Sandbagger's sites and other ones in early 2000s... If only I knew back then that name of the creator will come to my simming life again in several years with different titles and era... I remember reading Strike Fighters preview on Sim HQ, at that time I was like "Jets? Blah!" Then I had some time break from flight sims and gaming in general, when I came back Il2 was still in it's full glory but I still played modded EAW over and over. Then in March of 2005 a friend of mine, and mostly choppers junkie gave me his Wings Over Vietnam. I searched some info about it back home, installed... played for few hours bitching about EVERYTHING except the planes. Some time later, during summer break on studies, one evening out of boredom I started searching for mods for it. First that came as a result was F-111 with nice dedicated cockpit (I think it was Varks' Den...) then some infos and screens on Sim HQ, finally Combat Ace. That night I created my account here. Rest is history. Thank you TK&Combat Ace
  8. this thread is getting weirder than 4chan+ATS love child... just sayin'
  9. Technically this mod adds sort of ejecting pilots to the aircraft fire effect, and shows whenever any kindof aircraft catches fuselage fire, as my testing before making this mod (remember, series1 OCT2008 patch level) indicated that catching fire by aircraft causes the canopy to fall off thus implies crew ejection, not implying to player's craft off course, so you can see "yourself" in the mirror ejecting and still be able to fly. And remember aircraft fire effect isn't the same as fuel fire effect, important especially since Nov11 patch DM modelling updates where I have many times observed planes catching fuel fire just to burn out (or extinguish) without whole plane catching fires
  10. Did I heard boycott??? Again??? edit: Strike Fighters 2: North Atlantic trivia: 1) boycotted by Dave six times before actual release
  11. nope, different facility, KDFNAGB BGOBASOBSDVDJVIK is the one on the eastern side, KDFNAGBBGOBASOBSDVDJVIK on very west... learn those names, whole operation might depend on this! (BTW, Silverbolt was right... Combat Ace never has been such a sarcastic place like past several days...)
  12. Eskimo have 40 something words for ice... good luck with that colour matching
  13. ironic isn't it? ohhh come on TK, show us more!
  14. damn ou Nikos! Just for a second I thought it's released
  15. Twelve angry men say: derail
  16. crazy you! j/k we still don't know what gameplay mechanics will change and how much (that is IF), also if there would be beneficts for merged install users like adding extra carrier based squadrons with different roles etc. I think if one of the premises is new terrain engine, then we can assume ground part of the war would have some importance for the player too (extra planes CAS, strikes, AD) You don't invest resources into new terrain rendering and data just to throw the player into the water corner of the map shooting waves of bombers
  17. I see it, nice screen BTW Kiwi, as you're quite a rookie here (hi!) my advice -add one mod/modpack at a time, test it if it works, test again, then add another. Being mod-happy and adding files as they download is the simplest way to pork one's install. Trust me, been there done that
  18. IL2 Cliffs of Dover status ?

not stock I guess... btw, WOP/WOP shows how aborted fetus Cliffs of Dover is. Look, sky full of bombers! (full= in COD language means about 8...)
  19. here it is, follow the readme ejection mod.zip
  20. because ramp start in A-10C is soo exciting... add CAP for Tomcat and A-7, A-10 Iceland strikes in merged install
