  1. So says Sparko, member with -999,084 posts Thanks for the tip
  2. WOE is the best IMUHO among the "first" series of titles, has the widest amount of stock flyable planes available from Hunter to Warthog, also some user made mods like huge ODS are designed strictly for WOE. WOI has the nicest so far stock terrain, and strong historical background WOV has very good Yankee Air Pirate payware addons SPF1 and SFG are pretty much the same, some may complain about the fictional set of Dhimari and Parani desert The "new" upgraded series, Strike Fighters 2 and following titles are more resources hungry (updated engine, hires models, new DX10 shaders etc) if that matters
  3. last time I tried, and asked nicely on HL for some hamachi servers, I got answer from one guy like "I have some, but I like to keep them for myself, bla, bla, bla" get lost noob attitude; so I dropped my interest after such interaction with those bothersome humans Ok, to be fair, then Doghouse provided some (TY!) but simply I don't have time for it, quick one or two missions in the evening is all I have time for these days
  4. Already announced by TK patch for SF2:V followed by patch for SF2, then two weeks and it's done
  5. In your MyDocuments\....\Thirdwire\Strike Fighter2 Vietnam\EFFECTS\ you must create this folder, it's absend by default
  6. But it's a post-October template you FM Gurus could look into..?
  7. placing them in Effects folder works for me
  8. Try this one: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=6203
  9. that fixes only the water rendering artifacts in the distance, has nothing to do with the terrain mesh AFAIK
  10. Yes, I'm tracking the water bug. Also seems there are missing VietnamS1.tga and VietnamS2.tga (open sea textures) from Brain32's repaint. Reason unknown, I re-downloaded whole pack today, they ain't there Don't know about the effects, which pack is it? edit: thrown the image away
  11. As shown below, I posted modified data in SF2Vietnam thread: napalm is a test WIP
  12. Try Green Hell 2, looks MUCH better
  13. For those that want to try GH2 in SF2:V, here's the corrected data, with the heightoffset correction and blending trees, default GH2 settings produce blocky trees: I did brief tests, seems ok, of course you'd be installing both Brain32's repaint and GH2 to \Documents and Settings\(...)\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 Vietnam\Terrains\VietnamSEA\ Notice terrains not terrain folder, it gave me a headache
  14. Hey, KB, could you post some shots from Vista edition? For those poor XP cavemen here 4 out of 5 Stars, 5/5 would be for improved terrain engine, but we have YAP2 and GH2 lack of multiplayer? why bother, really
  15. First test mission: "Thuds vs thatdamnevilwarehouse" Beautiful new cockpit: Fueltank fire from enemy AAA... That I was able to put out by reducing throttle, notice the leaking fuel So I tried to land in enemy base But they shoot me on touch-down (!)
  16. Looks nice, i'll give it a try!
  17. So, is CombatAce.com content no longer copyrighted? at the very bottom of the main page, on the lowest white stripe there's: © 2003-2007 CombatACE.com
  18. Falcon 4.0 AF, gra ktoś?

No a symulatora, który by w pełni i logicznie(!) symulował wspomnianą współpracę z systemami naziemnymi to długo jeszcze nie będzie. BOB2 by całkiem, całkiem jeżeli chodzi o naprowadzanie.

A "sim-lite" wg mojej definicji to raczej Jane's Anthology, USAF itp. chociaż to też fajne tytuły były.
