MiG-19P variant. It's a modified SU-15's one with moved radar and gunsight box plus deleted canopy, I posted ini tweak few months ago in russian cockpits threat: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showt...23359&st=40 Page 3, post no. 53, in post 48 I gave instructions how to make sort of non-radar equipped variant for S version. Never published it due to some permissions issues. -

True, I'd like to have brand new terrain engine with full 3d missions and targets editor, not to mention better resolutiom DEM import. And a new weather system.

Don't know if this problem was covered earlier, if so sorry I couldn't find it. So, the thing that was bothering me for a while is that currently aircraft smoke or fire ALWAYS spawns at defined model's origin. It's ok when dealing damage to small single-engined fighter, but when knocking down multiengined bombers it's for me a little immersion killer... So I'm thinking about this walkaround to produce such effect: As we can see three engines were destroyed producing fire and smoke, one left intact rotating. To make such effect I've adde two more fuel tanks in wings, and weakened their armor and then adjusting all fueltanks' MIN MAX positions (hitboxes) to match exactly the ones of engines. The other thing is tuning the [ObjectFire] SuppressionChance= ProgressionChance= in aircraftobject.ini Anyone interested in digging further this? Or maybe it's possible to make it more ellegant way? Contrail emitters positions are definable in aircraft data files, maybe the damage effect can be too?

I know, I've searched all dlls for key phrases already FuelLeakEmitter doesn't work on me, there is also FireEffectPosition introduced in WOI's aircraftobject.dll I have to check yet. Does First Eagles have the positions fixed? That could be some clue. edit: Will have to check EngineFireEffect again -
I agree with Jedi Master -in 90's we had excellent F22 and other modern jets simulations, mostly DID's EF200 and F22 ADF, these were much of a guess work, but they gave us an immersion of "flying accurate hardcore simulation" .It's really possible to do when developers loves the subject, and mostly when publishers wants to release something that may be too hard for casual console gamer. The biggest problem with publishers is that they don't believe someone would spend his time actually learning how to control his game. It's different time, different publishers, bigger money involved

Baltika, just a quick question regarding the planeset -I have installed all required addons, they're mosty old versions from aroung 2005, 2006 when they were available here at CA, I have account on Capun's Skunkworks, but havent send request to access their database yet :blush2: -so, are there newer, updated versions on Skunkworks or the older ones I use are latest versions? Mostly Peashooter and Guardsman (nice little one!). Cheers, Stary -

Edward The mountain tiles are gorgeous! I have a mixed PTO install ATM witch most stuff thrown in, as for effects I have WW2 pack with EE3 ontop of it. Today I'm taking a break from planting to make a specific install for Phillippines. YAP2 terrain and trees are being made by Deuces. Do I need to say more... @Silverbolt: I had some dendrology classes at my studies, but I wasn't paying much attention to them. -

Nice skin, but ugly trees : These are real sized, I'm reworking the jungle and farmland tiles again, a week or two (real time) to release, then I'll make a specific version for WW2 Burma and Phillippines (less urbanized cities than Vietnam version, different city architecture). 60% map has many flaws, the biggest one for me being the height resolution -soo edgy mountains! The answer could be WoI install, it's terrain engine interpolates height map, but flight engine refuses to handle prop aircrafts. -
And why it has F on gunsight? Brown camo -nice!

Hi Edward, Yes, it's no secret observation my green hell trees are 2x the size of real, sacrifice made to achieve scene complexity/visual appearance. And I'm hitting the numbers beyond which Terrain Editor either CTDs or messes things up. Not to mention in game frame rates. But they look better IMUHO: "real" size: scaled up: Quite obvious why I preffer the second one, right? Green Hell 2 should have both for one to pick the version he/she likes... Cheers, CA_Stary -
