Yakovlev Yak-28P Firebar cockpit. V0.9 18.02.2015 Cockpit for Yak-28P Firebar interceptor of the Soviet Union, not perfect but "close enough" To install: Best would be to backup your existing Yak-28P ini files* and cockpit folder, right? Extract to your Yak-28P folder, overwrite when asked. *I DO realise that as far as I checked there seems to be no Firebar upgraded to SF2 standards, BUT the procedure is quite simple and takes 15 minutes tops. You are encouraged to do it yourself. NO SF1 version of this cockpit is planned. Period. Also, some aspects would require more tweakings but people more in the know of both avionics systems in SF2 and the true airframe radar capabilities, so go ahead if you habve the knowledge. Freeware license apply, not to be used as part of payware of any sort. Raw max 3D model available for those willing to work on this as basis for other mods/adjustments. Feel free to include in your own reuploads, retextures, tweaks etc without asking. Credits: Pasko, Doghouse, Lindr -for their work on Yakovlev 25/27/28 series through all the years. Avionics and data adjustments based on ini files by Doghouse and Lindr I think -at least found in the packs they created and or uploaded Boopidoo- I borrowed the "fake" SPO-10 RWR idea from his excellent Su-15TM cockpit TK, Thirdwire -for SF/SF2 series Admins, moderators and good folks at CombatAce Me- cockpit mesh, textures, cockpit inis, avionics tweaks etc -
yeah all valid and I agree this is going to be good base for a both SP and MP (which I do not play anyway) further development it's just... for a mod that takes 50 GB I'd expect it to run a bloody stock campaigns from a get go and do not CTD like every mission! as for additional fx etc, yes these are nice but I think DBW had even better in some aspects, also the maps are a mixed bag, some are very well done repaints others not that much, matter of finding the right mix I think. Ohh the MiG 3 looks straight from 2001 era still

I think it's still working some times, I recollect chasing few migs that were acting very suprised when my tracers passed near them otherwise yeah, good old lazy way of fixing things TK has used since like forever I wonder if anyone knows what was the last patch level that was stable and without such gameplay breaking introductions? Before SF2 NA? Shortly after? -
works for me, from torrent v1 and update, just crashes on regular basis AND and that is major downside for me -almost no stock campaigns works
-
true Claw, as otherwise one gets "data file error" warning when running QMB in other "era"

RAN questions ...
Stary replied to Wrench's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
just put the Wyvern cockpit into it Kevin, I spoke with Dave and he says it's ok to redistribute the Wyvern cockpit without the full bird, it fits Sea Fury quite well -
over 50 GB, I'm right now on WAW+TJW and it's some 50GB including backup clean Il2 2.07 installation, so it would be something like 46-47 GB for those two
-
gave it a go for the last third time This time it works sort of well. Installation isn't the biggest problem, the problem is lots of occasional crashes and the QMPro doesn't work for me at all. Burning Streak campaign and Dutch Singapore ones work so far, others won't even launch so there you have it. Also the changes aren't that much to justify the 30+ GB folder IMO, well the sky mod IS very nice I admit it bare with me that is with WAW only, without the jets nor WW1 stuff edit: ehhh this time QMB pro works which is making me puzzled beyond words. Korea map surely looks nice with the repaint. Ohh, still have random CTDs

stripes all the way! -
can't say, I installed just WAW for tests which is a pain IMO. To hunt all the conflicting mods and bugs, oh well two days spend on this piece of ^%*^&$ might have reinstall SF2I with mods
-
I think yes..? also what TeargasHorse quoted is a bit confusing -I take it one has to replace the CUP 1 torrent files with contents from torrent update and THEM after that do a clean installation. Anyway will know in 5 minutes as I am nearing total reinstall myself edit: merged 2 posts into one I can confirm that doing so (applying the files from the udpated torrent and adding the fix from CUP thread page 19, post No.221 regarding static.ini additions) fixes it for me hope this helps anyone edit: QMB pro still doesn't work on mission load
-
hmmm this part gets me confused
-
I'm installing the update now, but only for WAW (the WW2) as I have not downloaded neither Dawn Of Flight nor The Jet Age in case something gets messy
-
CUP WAW exits at the infamous 70% bug for me, stock 212m and SAS 5.30 works fine. Soo, where's the updated torrent? edit: Ima idiot, nevermind, downloading update via torrent

it's a bit "generic late Spit" one but does quite well IMUHO in later say post IX ones. Kesselbrut's is great still but sadly shows it's age -

Anthropoid's Questions
Stary replied to Anthropoid's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Hello Anthropoid as far as No.11 goes I think it was simply AI getting confused and crashing -but it's better to think to oneself it was indded some bizarre circumstance of both planes suffering technical faults ohh no no, I don't think random system failures are modelled at all, though these might be hidden in the code somewhere and unused. Before you ask, damages from fire etc are progressive so once you're on fire, dive, cut off the engine and pray. Then down low you could try restrating ot to low amounts to try limping home -that on medium or better hard settings of course. hope that helps. As for ROF steam/non Steam can't say, have only the non Steam and stick to it, well used to i nthe past a bit ohh, and welcome around
