  1. no problem the file to open is GermanyCE ingame.tfd, then after changes copy it to GermanyCE folder and change name to GermanyCE.tfd the hfd was slightly modified in graphic program using Terrain Editor and exported heighmap, I recommend not to fiddle with it

  5. As EricJ wrote, unplug, plug again, calibrate in windows. I assume the stick does have it's own drivers/setup/calibration applications?

    I strongly hope they fixed the movie, Cruise dies horribly at the beginning and Kilmer is the lead hero now... right? @Nesher: they can, it's just bigger PIA than making colour movie out of b&w material

  9. @usafphantom2: Solomons do work in merged install, Jul12, without noticeable errors, if any, tested in SF2-all merged with my tileset/treemod and Jonathan's campaign, also in separate WW2 install

I, for requirement of some testing, made stand-alone SF2:Europe install while back and ran into buckload of issues with it, since then I recommend just having full-merged install, and just copy the exe (NA preferably) and make custom install out of it. WhiteKnight, you can, as stated above, simply erase (or better move to sub-folder like _original_planes) all the default aircraft, same with groud objects (thought I'd leave those as these are)
  11. it seems mobile apps are currently more important for Thirdwire for whatever reason, I'd hesistate to say we won't see any SF2-related development, be it patches or Exp3, until iOS version is up and ready. DLC maybe as these are sometimes very minor updates of already existing planes

  16. the problem with DCS addons is simple -no consistency, be it Eagle Dynamics (P-51D... still can't get over it!) or modding groups: group A -let's do F-15 Strike Eagle group B -good luck, we're working on F-86 group C -Sabre? We do F-117! etc, with such understandable approach (because why one group should bother what the other is doing?) we really won't have good build of addons (for those wondering: most certainly payware in the 25-30+ $ range) in coming year(s) then, there's this 800 pounds gorilla in the room no one speaks about, namely other theatres. Maybe TK should consider doing DCS version of ...Iceland? And I'm not so sure if it's my bad joke or brillant idea. Both perhaps

  18. yes it was square but because the effect graphics were drawn (by me) as square, the diameter is scaled but I think the lenght too -the lenght can be easily tweaked by making plane-specific copy of the desired effect, for example Mig29_afterburnereffect.ini and changing the particle lifetime= value, the longer it lives the longer the burner
  19. the one in aircraft's ini file? I think yes, it scales it globally but haven't tested this in a loong time Russ might be patches changed this in a meantime

I think we won't see stable, semi complete pack* of addon planes for DCS in this year, or following ones (till say 2015), at the time we'll have nice pack of addon planes DCS already will be obsolete -I know this sounds like heresy now, but time goes by quickly the other story is lack of any other terrain *semi complete pack -as in, usable to create plausible Vietnam or Israel or any 60s-70s campaign
