  1. May be a little selfish on this request ravenclaw_007 but how about a 'Late model' M117, and also M-117 with fuse extender like the one in the F-100D picture for the F-105. The overall olive drab finish with one yellow nose band for latter war time series bombs. I tried working it on my own with your M117A skin and M117_F-105 lods but can't get the fuse to appear? Tried editing with the HEX editor program. The bomb appears in correct position/angle but no fuse? Is there an M-118 or Mk-84 with fuse extender in yours or any other weapon paks? I have read that !05 units used these for bustin SAM and AAA sites. Would be a cool addition also. Just a personal request, hope others are taking advantage of this 'THUD' addition..................Job well done on all your add ons/packages! Much appreciated, NIELS * Added a couple of pics to go with this topic so ya all don't think I'm 'loony'
  2. Best all era air combat sim download web site going............Lets keep em up and runnin ya all! NIELS
  3. Just a follow up on the 'THUD' M-117....................Looks great, positioning, performance etc super! Thanks ravenclaw_007, NIELS
  4. Yes Sir! As stated by EricJ and in my post ie. (USN types)................The Navy KA-3, KA-6, and any other drogue pod equipped fighter/tanker could be a player. I would also like to 'coat tail' off of Centurion-1.............The ability to 'hot pit' refuel/re-arm would be a cool mod. Its been a player in all large scale air wars to date. May be a point in the taxiway or hammer head when taxing off the runway ones acft would be replenished accordingly. Even a minute time delay or auto time change would occur when this takes place to keep things more timing realistic. Just wishes - I don't know the time, task, sacrifice & headaches involved but I'm sure it is no 'piece-O-cake' to tackle this venture. I do admire and appreciate the folks here that have taken on these daunting challenges in order to provide us with a rich and satisfying experience.............BRAVO to the TW program moders and staff here at Combat ACE. Thanks, NIELS
  5. Been messing around with Mescalero's tng grounds. I have tried both MGunny's weapon pak and Raven Claw's weapon pak with same result.........After weapons release they free fall fine but upon ground contact my system freezes? I have checked the WeaponData.ini with the extractor and all weaps have the last word of their effects with an 's'. All the effect ini files in these packages have no 's' on the end of the word effect. I think this is the problem, but when I change all the 'effects' to 'effect' in the WeaponData.ini my system still freezes. I have even tried with no addition of any weapon paks and still same result. I'm running at the highest levels in the option settings other than visual distance set at normal...............................Little help please = very frustrating! AMD 8 core prossessor 16 Gig meamory ATI GForce 560 video card ------------- Is this the culprit? Thanks, NIELS
  6. No prob Stuntman, I did notice the effect shader missing in these ini's before they started to work with the above fix. I'm going to take a 'gander' at them and fix/try your suggestions. Input/replies always appreciated by me. Thanks, NIELS
  7. RE: moved per direction in first line of DLC request topic. OK, I know this has been basically written off in the SF2 future topic but I'm biased.................Spent a few years in this profession so I'll say it/request it...........Tanker AR capability: KB-50 1950 - 1960 era KC-97 1950 - 1970 era KC-135 1960 - present, KC-10, V-Bomber force for WOE, All USN types etc. The acft are present except the (KB-50) - Just need to get the code/access to make it happen like in the earlier SF1 tweak. Not that important? Maybe not for simming, but if you read actual combat stories 'pre' and 'post' strike air refueling are a must for combat ops. Too much burner in the tgt area or the ability to AR if shot up and leaking fuel could be the difference between RTB or making it to a safe area for SAR pickup. Minor step in the sim world, OK. Same in real deal if the receivers are good and the guy or gal up front is a good stick....................Still makesthe immersion factor better and gives the aviator (Sim or Real life) more breather room for ops. Just my request/opinion VR NIELS
  8. Been having a tough time after installing current mods from CA. I've read most all issues regarding the July 2013 patch which my SF2/Wox_V2 series are patched to. TOOOOOOOO frustrating! Is there a more compatible (earlier) patch that will work better? Thanks, NIELS
  9. Thanks Snailman, I guess I was in a hurry and wanted all TW sims to be up to date before adding mods. It was several months ago I reinstalled my TW stuff to my new rig and I'm still trying to get an era together to my taste. I will probably start over with the install/patch process with the patches you suggested and read the info with the mods more closely instead of hoping everything would click with the latest patch...........If only both PC hardware and software was compatible across the board............Wishful thinking on my part. Much appreciated, NIELS
  10. Thanks MigBuster, I kinda figured it was to broad a question. I guess I'll just have to work around the items you mentioned or reinstall to an earlier patch level maybe................Sure would like to do more flyin than adjusting, tweaking, fine tuning etc. Much appreciated, NIELS
  11. Tankers: KB-50 1950 - 1960 era KC-97 1950 - 1970 era KC-135 1960 - present, KC-10, V-Bomber force for WOE, All USN types etc. The acft are present except the (KB-50 & KC-97) - Just need to get the code/access to make it happen like in the earlier SF1 tweak, or more realistic in SF2 series. NIELS
  12. I'll second the above input....................Outstanding 26's!..................... Best Korea era combat around for sim flyers! NIELS
  13. Thanks for the detail info ravenclaw_007............ With the outstanding weapons detailing you have provided I would not want to disgrace the 'eye candy' and ruin the immersion factor when in tight formation. Again - Thank you for a job well done with this and all your mods and appreciate your quick response to this entry. VR NIELS
  14. Wa-La.......The weapons work! Much thanks DaniloE31, didn't even know about this - thanks for the link. Saved me from pulling the few hairs I have left out of my head. NIELS
  15. Outstanding!......Much appreciated ravenclaw_007. I thought it would require some attention (degree changes) to the mounting points on the MER itself. Didn't expect a new model M-117. Thank you for your fantastic work and support of the SF2, Wox_V2 series. NIELS
  16. Gota love the 'THUD' - My Fave! NIELS
  17. Looking fantastic! Outstanding effort..........looking forward to this campaign. NIELS
  18. The 'Hump Back' THUD is an F-105D Thunderstick II mod. Not sure of the avionics sweet in these beasts but pretty sure it enhanced some bombing type accuracy and all weather NAV capabilities. Retreived this from the web (30 F-105Ds were were fitted with advanced attack avionics beginning in 1969 under the "Thunderstick (T-Stick) II" program, featuring an improved LORAN radio-beacon navigation system to hit targets at night or in bad weather. The avionics were stored in a dorsal fairing that ran from cockpit to tail. However, by this time the F-105D was being withdrawn from combat and the T-Stick II aircraft never went to war. The Texas USAFR was the only operators. Kind of a quasi A-6 capability maybe? Would be a cool addition for the NATO 5 campaign and 'what if' category for NATO purchase. I think it may not look pretty as far as lines go but it makes it look more fearsome! NIELS
  19. My FAVE! The THUD............Looking good Sundowner. Ditto russouk2004 regarding stock jets. Looking forward to them, keep up the good work. NIELS
  20. "WE NEED TANKERS THAT WORK" Hoping, wishing, pleading.................Nothing more frustrating than flaming out after a successful mission! NIELS
  21. Good stuff BeachAV8R, and the pics are cool! These mission reports remind me of 'Coonts - Flight of The Intruder'......... Excellent! Keep em coming, NIELS
