The H&D format would really suit the 'nam setting, using Green Berets or Seals.

Meh, I'd just do a pit for it. -

Looks pretty good but a bit flat. Dunno if you've used tiled textures a lot but the deck and superstructure could benefit from multiplying an ambient occlusion bake in Photoshop. Also add some dirt and soot around vents and stuff and on the deck you can have puddles of flat white in the spec map to give the impression of washed over water. -

Looks cool. I could help with cockpit and textures if time permits. -

Model is awesome but it needs more spec and some ambient shading to make it pop. As it is it looks way too flat. -

Could be a bad polygon. -
My friend has a Warthog HOTAS and after trying it out I have to say it's pretty nice.

A Warning......
Julhelm replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
If you have permission it should be OK. The problem here is people took someone else's work and claimed it as their own. Not cool. Reminds of that guy who ripped our models for Civ3. -

Well maybe we ought to tip off Rockpapershotgun or other big blogs when F-14 nears completion. -

New Project / Product Announcement: When Thunder Rolled

Leadwerks isn't optimized for flightsim. IIRC that is why the CH maps are limited to 32x32km and they're looking at GROME3 instead. -

Gaijin uses an in-house engine, Dagor. It would be nice if TK let these guys do some custom engine work so it isn't merely an SF2 mod. -
Handgun + semi-auto rifle. The island is only like 500 yards across so if he had enough reloads he could keep killing until he ran out of bullets.

I thought it was due to zero-gravity causing bone & muscle deterioration? Build a space station that generates earth gravity and problem should be solved. -
My money is on a McVeigh-style nutjob, given that the guy they arrested was described as "ethnic norwegian".

You know you can use spec and bump on groundobjects too? It'd make those tents look purdy. -
File Name: A/F-24 Shadowcat File Submitter: Julhelm File Submitted: 28 November 2010 File Category: SF2 Series Add On Aircraft A/F-24 Shadowcat (AFX) for Strike Fighters 2 ---------------------------------------------- Preface: After making the first attempt at modelling this concept, which ended up as the not-very-accurate F-24 Shadowcat for WOI, I decided to go back and, armed with a lot more research material and better workflow, redo the entire thing from the ground up as accurate as is possible with unbuilt concepts. It originally was to feature a new cockpit based on that of the A-12 Avenger II, but this turned out to look quite ugly ingame. I eventually found out that the real thing was to use cockpit displays from the F-22 for sakes of commonality, so I decided I might as well build a straight-down navalized F-22 cockpit for which a whole lot more reference material is available. ---------------------------------------------- Known Issues: The cockpit isn't 100% complete. I thought it was better to release something that's 99% complete and fix it later which I will as it was always part of the plan to adapt the cockpit back into a straight F-22 pit. For some reason all of your wingmen except #2 will tip over and crash on the taxiway. No idea why this happens. They all start fine from the carrier though. ---------------------------------------------- Credits: Models & textures by Julhelm FM by Fubar512 Avionics by Jat As usual, these files may not be used in payware or otherwise tampered with and reposted without my consent which you may request at NilsD at bredband dot net. What's funny is that the F-35 has much larger weapon bays than the F-22. Though I always preferred Boeing's offering for its 'son of A-7' 2cool looks. F-35 just looks like whatever contemporary fighter.

What an excellent game that was.
