"Bring back the widowmaker" Did it ever occur to you that many Christians died at the hands of the French terror? I feel sorry for the victims but this is what happens when your country chooses the "Goddess of reason" aka "Diana of the Ephesians" who now sits in New York Harbor and you chuck Christ in the trash. To me this is only the latest tragedy to befall a nation that once knew Christ but reverted to hate Christ in 1789. God's trying to tell you something Europe and using Muslim armies to do so is his way (Read Isaiah Chapter 9 "Oh Asyrian....the Rod of my anger." By the way, ISIS comes from the anichent Asyrian capital of Ninivah which is now Mosul, Iraq. America is sharing the same situation. France needs a Martel the Hammer to destroy the Muslim hordes again.

Some A-6 questions
dannavy85 replied to allenjb42's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
So one post to this thread talked about fighters being downed for a technical issue, that was the F/A-18 fleet back in 1990 between February to July. Reason being was cracking in the vertical stabs that caused one to depart an 18 off California. I was assigned as an NDI tech at NAF Atsugi in 90 when the emergency message called for all of CVW-5's 18's to be x-rayed for vert stab cracks....we found two birds that were. Our crew spent three days and nights shooting every Hornet and sending the results to NAVAIR. Till then the Intruders that were capable from VA-115 and 185 were ready ordered to be armed with "winders" (2 per each 4 pylons) that would have been a sight. Flying an A-6F is like being Trudy from Avatar...."Oops....I got a gun too bitch." not to mention winders and a faster Intruder mister MIG. -
Love the CCIP

I Flew my A-6F last night with the CCIP mod and what a big improvement over using the stationary HUD PIPPER on targets, now I'm dropping accurately and only once inbound/outbound on a target....great mod. -
The A-12 Avenger was a disaster for the Navy, leaving it without an effective ability to re-tank aircraft along with the F/A18 which is the jack of trades and masters none. The F-35 is going to follow up on the tradition of letting those idiots in Congress and our president dictating stupid military equipment we don't need!

What the A-6E/F Mods lack.
dannavy85 posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Hey all, While I love the A-6E and F models that have been put out, there are a few things lacking for realism. There's no way to put out engine fires and the later A-6E's SWIPS and the F's did have Halon dischargers. There's no RAT system (Ram Air Turbine) which supplied emergency power and hydraulics. No way to blown down stuck landing gear, no independent control of the TRAM/FLIR. But despite these little misses, the models are a joy to fly and are just as good as the Intruders were in their life. Especially low level "take this snake down your throat" love it! Is there any way to add the missing systems? -

May 15, 2019 The President addresses the nation as Operation Cope Thunder begins with USS Ten Bears starting UCAV surveilance, electronic warfare and limited precision air strikes to collect intelligence on the strength and operational movements of Abu Saif and Ansur al Islam fighters on Luzon and the southern islands. The President lays out the exact roles both Special Operations and the Navy will play in supporting Phillippine forces. VA-166 and VMFA-119 are deployed to Aquinaldo AFB south of Manila to be closer on demand to support the Phillippine Army while VB-6 and VF-187 will cover the Southern Islands from Ten Bears. -

May 15,2019 The US Congress authorizes the President to take action in support of the Phillippines fighting as of yet an unknown quantity and strength of Islamic terrorists who have steadily built up their numbers over two decades by flowing men and material into the Southern and central islands of the Phillippines. Shortly after the Congressional authorization; there is an attack on an army training facility south of Basayayan on the Battan peninsula. The attack occurs at night, the number of attackers reported as "substantial" The attackers over run the facility, killing 139 Phillippino soldiers and raiding weapons, vehicles and ammunition before a response force from the Army post in nearby Kabinti engages the tail end of the attacking force killing 75 terrorists and suffering 27 casualties from a bomb laiden jeep. USS Ten Bears and her task force arrive North of Luzon and prepare to launch a series of recon flights with the ERA-27 UCAV's to gather data for eventual air strikes against concentrated terrorist strong holds. Air Wing 17 carries... 1 Each early warning/electronic warfare UCAV squadron ER-1 "Night Cats" 1 Each Recon/Attack UCAV squadron RA-3 "Prairie Foxes" 2 Each A-6F Intruder squadrons VA-166 "The fighting Seeones" and VA-6 "The Black Rams" 2 Each F-35 Lightening fighter squadrons "VF-187 "The Pride" and WMFA 119 "The Red Badgers" 2 Each H-60 Seahawk squadrons "HS-51 and HS-36" -

May 14, 2019 NBC News report from Richard Engel aboard USS Ten Bears "Brian...tonight the Philippines has been described as a nation aroused in anger and awaken to danger and this aircraft carrier and her task force are but hours away from possible combat. All day crews have been readying planes, delivering ordinance from its magazines to staging areas on the flight deck. Among the planes aboard this formidable vessel are three squadrons of Unmanned Combat Airborne Vehicles or "UCAVs" which will see their first full scale use in combat since their development began less than seven years ago." "The reaction in the Philippines to the massive terrorist assault of a few days ago has been by best description...electric. Thousand of young men have answered President Magkasi's call to swell the ranks of the army and the Marines; among them 2,000 indigenous Negreto tribesmen, said to be highly aggressive mountain jungle experienced warriors.Magkasi in his public address called on the suspected foreign fighters to surrender while the opportunity is still afforded to them because once combat is begin, Magkasi said bluntly, there will be no mercy." -

May 13,2019 The President seeks Congressional Authorization to deploy US Forces in support of the Phillippines. Phillippine President Magkasi calls up reserves and issues a call for 20,000 vollunteers in what he describes as a National Emergency response to armed invasion. The two terrorist groups are made up of foreign fighters from the Middle East, Indonesia and Abu Saif which is based in the Muslim strong southern Islands chain. USS Ten Bears departs Yokosuka Japan with her five Arleigh Burke class escorts and support ships with orders to be within striking range of Luzon and the Southern Islands within 48 hours. The President is also seeking to deploy 250 Special Operations troops to augment the Phillippine Army and Negreto mountain soldiers on the main Island of Luzon. And no...Brian Williams will not be flying an Intruder. -

You should be able to bring it up in your control settings options when you select advanced settings; which gives you the key listing. The time delay release should be below the release quantity key setting.

Anyone got SF1 working in Windows 10 64-bit ?
dannavy85 replied to Geary's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I got it to work in Win 10 by not allowing it to install to "Programs" Instead I created a file in my documents called "Old Games" and installed it to that. My only problem now is the occasional crashes with WOE that happens after mission completions but hey...as long as I can burn my hair flying intruders, who cares. -
If anyone is interested I have my A-6E NATOPS manual with all the data now transferred to PDF file. Damn that things a whopping 935 pages, took years to get around PDF'ing all of it. I got the orriginal manual as a birthday gift from the late Captain Terry Toms before he left as the last acting ATACKWESTPAC commander since the A-6 was going into retirement. I perform runway strikes with snakes at 800 to 1000 feet and set the mil-sec to 140. Just as the edge of the runway hits the bottom of the HUD glass I pickle and pull up 5 degrees to boost the load across the length of the runway. No fly migs today Charlie.

I hope it wasn't terrorism but a major fire that destroyed the computer and electrical system could have been initiated by a terrorist weapon.
-
The optimal release was between 4000 and 5000 feet, speed 370 to 400 knots in terminal velocity with zero engine thrust, aircraft at 40 degrees down angle, 5 to 7 degrees AOA ahead of the target.
-
Listeningso far to what is known, it sounds as if the aircraft rudder went into full and uncontrolable detent (90 degree out) and threw the aircraft into an uncontrolable diving spin. I don't believe there was a terrorist act here.

What the A-6E/F Mods lack.
dannavy85 replied to dannavy85's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Just to be clear I'm not "dumping" on the people who put their time and effort into making these flyable models, they are totally awesome and act very close to the actual aircraft. If you could have been on some of our bombing detachments to Nevada and California in the 1980's and stood on the hills over the ranges and seen these Intruders dropping hell loads of 500's and APAM's on targets....they were devastatingly accurate. Though I am glad that one person doesn't need to jump between the job of pilot and B/N to fly the models; that would have been too difficult.
