  1. Here's an early WiP of the Mitsubishi AAM-3 IRM for the JASDF. I have the body and nose done fine, the problem right now is getting the fins down. I'm concentrating on the forward ones right now. They are a little off on size, which I will fix. The question is, what would be the best way to do them in Gmax. They are currently done with the line shape tool, which is fine except that they only show up on one side. (All four fins are actually on, but you can only see two) As I continue this one and other WiPs, I'll post them in this thread as well.
  2. Well, now that my crashing problems with WOE are fixed, I have a more updates on my WiPs. Thanks to Fastcargo's awesome work converting and mapping the weapons, they are now moving into the texturing stage. Also added is the AAM-5 Type 04 missile soon to come into JASDF service.
  3. I'm having the exact same problem, DySkO, though it's with Wings Over Europe merged with SFP1 and WOV and heavily modded. Then it suddenly started crashing at the exact same point after I installed the missiles I made. I of course removed them and tried again, with a default aircraft, nation, and weapons, but no joy.
  4. Oh yeah, I remember those in ATF Gold. Always fun to fly the Su-37 in that game with those.
  5. That was a US maximum battleship from 1923 that I'm drawing based on the Springstyle in the Friedman book. Specs are (circa 1923): Displacement: 80,000 tons LWL: 975 feet Beam: 108 feet Speed (knots): 25.2 Main Battery: 15 18"/50 cal (5 x 3) Main Belt: 16" thick
  6. But could it defeat an 80 year old Tillman? (Image still in progress, based on a drawing in my copy of Friedman's Battleship book.)
  7. Even without the animation, you could add an invisible canard to the data INI file so you basically have a mockup that works but doesn't move. If you can't get the source file, that could be a short-term solution.
  8. Someone would have to build the canards in a modeler program and make them into lods. Then they would be configured as a zero-strength jamming pod in the weapons editor and a hard point for them would be added in the F-15's data.ini. Then all you would need to do would be to load up the canards at the weapon screen.
  9. You could always add canards as a weapon, like the pods on the A-4L. They wouldn't move, but would look okay.
  10. She's looking great, very smooth modelling on it.
  11. SuperHornets/Four Corners Story

Funny that you mention the Tomcat for the RAAF. When I drew the upgraded Tomcats in my gallery here, I had that exact same thought. The RAAF was the second (after the USN) country-specific version I drew. The pic's been updated since I mentioned it in the Super Hornet vs Tomcat thread. http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autom...si&img=3976
  12. EF-14G EW mission armament

    From the album My Stuff

Nothing much to say about this one. I armed up the EF-14G for an electronic warfare escort mission. It's armed with 2xAGM-88D HARM missiles on the legacy pylons, 4xAN/ALQ-99 Tactical Jamming Pods on the wing hardpoints, and a pair of AIM-120C-7 AMRAAMs on the wingtip racks.
  13. I assume your's are the normal SEA non-wrapped camo, mppd? Then we'd have a good selection of them together with Drdoyo's work. 1024x is definately an upper limit on what's needed for clear resolution on the skins. My computer is crying at the idea of running 2048s.
  14. Sweetness! Those wrap-around schemes are great and the detail on the left wing is looking good.
  15. Awesome job on these, they all look great, especially the grey ASA-Ms. You've got me flying the 104 again.
  16. Looks awesome, can't wait to fly it.
  17. All I have here is the US Army Quartermaster Museum and the Women's Museum. At least the QM one has a DUKW. I can always drive up to the VA Air museum, they just got an F-14D parked next to their SR-71.
  18. Now that's a proper PBY-5A, not like that one with a civilian nose job earlier in the thread.
  19. *Is up to 21 gigs in addition to hard copies* In Gimp, there is an opacity slider on the layers window, that should be all you need.
  20. I realized why I thought the F-4X had Speys for a moment, I was getting it mixed up with the F-4L fighter that was to carry a pair of AIM-54s and be fitted with those engines.
  21. Looking good! I love the D&S books, I have a good amount of them, especially the ones I collected going to the Va. Air Museum and the USS Yorktown. With the opacity thing, you should be able to open the roundel in Gimp or a program like that and reduce the opacity there, resaving it then after that.
  22. There's a red (left) and green (right) light on the engine nacelles in those pictures too.
  23. Hmm, it would be cool to do the F-4X with the huge ventral fueltank. It had Speys as well, if I remember correctly. And the F-4E(S) for Israel too, all three of them. Awesome work as usual, Sundowner.
