Feedback/Questions on Quick Scenario Mode
Barkhorn1x posted a topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Overall I like the QS mode and hope to see more flavors added in the future. The date override is straightforward but how do the following work? - a/c skin - always the same? - opposition a/c type, numbers, skins - always the same? ..and can more options be added in the future? Thanks. -
Looks like Jasta 8 colors to me.

Very sharp!!! Who had 'em historically? I know about Jasta 6 and MFJI What other Jasta's?

nvidia 190.38 drivers
Barkhorn1x replied to Broadside uda Barn's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
No - as DriverSweeper is not smart in the sense that it knows what the remnants are - it just knows what the Nvidia files are. So...trying to do it w/o first removing the drivers via Control Panel will really screw things up. You must do these steps in order. -
SUPERPATCH 1.32 is now available!

Just d/l'd. Installed fine. Nice menu screen updates. I wanted to say thanks for the hard work and continued support/improvements. Now to go flying. -
I like this one.

Yes, get Driver Sweeper and follow those steps. Nvidia is notorious for leaving vestiges behind when you un-install - that screws up your upgrade. Hence the need to fully clean up the remnants. -

Just tested the DVII: A/C slider set to 5 Workshop skin setting set to middle button - NO bullet holes - But when severely damaged - shredding of the elevator and wing root showing when I lost a wing. I would like to see some bullet holes when slightly damaged. -

Now children - let this be a lession to you. NEVER d/l new drivers until you get feedback from those dopes that just must have the latest release. That way you will not get burned. If it ain't broke don't fix it!!! -
I foolishly got involved in a discussion like this on the Aerodrome and it will not end well believe me. Over claiming is a fact of air combat no matter how many precautions you take. The rather looser Empire criteria and the fact that they fought offensively 95% of the time*** only exacerbated the issue. Best to understand the limitations and accept the claims as a tribute to these brave men who claimed in good faith while doing a difficult job. ***meaning "over enemy lines" rather than Empire pilots being dicks about it.

Actually, those errors happen all the time and 4 minutes to identify the problem is damn good. I was involved with a new program compiliation once upon a time and it took literally 4 freakin' hours for a tech to discover that the server addy had a typo - and that was causing the compilation failure. Keep in mind that most of those 4 hours were spent checking hardware/middleware/cableing - just about every damn thing except the bleeding obvious. Lessions were learned the hard way that day!

IL-2 1946 is the bargain of the century as it includes all released content to date: - IL-2 Forgotten Battles - Pacific Fighters - The Pe-2 Add-on - The 1946 add-ons ...and, as a previous poster stated you can d/l a bunch of new mod content. Graphics hold up very well. And there are thousands of skins to d/l.

I too had a Ti4600 128mg three cards ago. It was a great card for its day. And before that I had a Voodoo 5500 64Mg card which was awesome way back when too. Today of course, these cards are relics.

Joystick Question for Logitech Force 3D Pro Owners
Barkhorn1x posted a topic in WOFF 1 2 3 / UE - General Help
So, I just ordered a new Logitech Force 3D Pro to replace my old stick that went south. Should be here by Thursday. Now, it is one of those "twisty sticks" for rudder action. But I have CH pedals so don't need - or really want - that feature. The question is; Can the stick be locked into position so it does not twist? Anyone use one that can tell me? Thanks. -
Well, the thing is - you can only set the max FPS. We should all be so lucky as to be able to set our GPU so the frames won't go below 20.

Joystick Question for Logitech Force 3D Pro Owners
Barkhorn1x replied to Barkhorn1x's topic in WOFF 1 2 3 / UE - General Help
Got my new stick - back in the air after about an hour and a 1/2 of tuning. Had to disable the rudder axis for the joystick as Uncleal stated. All is well now that I actually got my first victory.
