  1. Which key command for gunsight?

Must be getting old. On my 4th check of the card I found the F6 for "Go to Pilot seat". Hardly intuitive! Guess that's why it didn't jump out at me. Thanks TSmoke
  2. Which key command for gunsight?

Hmmm...interesting. F6 is not on my OFF key card so that may be it. Hope this is not the "Wonder Woman" gunsight!
  3. New basic Jasta 2 skin uploaded

Beautiful skin as usual Olham. As I said previously...the white tail is quite nice looking. Wish I had some damn talent for skinning. Must be cool to paint your bird as you like!
  4. Observer kills in two-seater career?

Ahh...that was supposed to be a Part 2 to my original question that I forgot to ask in the original post. Thanks to both of you for the info. Maybe in P4 the observers will be a little more "visible" in the squadron.
  5. "Optional Flight" in Briefing screen?

The "Optional Flight" button has proven itself to be a boon very quickly. One of my OFF peeves were the missions that had you flying some really huge distance behind friendly lines (overflying a dozen friendly aerodromes) just to patrol some section of front many, many miles away. It looked very silly on the mission map but the remedy has arrived!
  6. http://www.geschiedenis24.nl/nieuws/2011/mei/Fokker-bouwt-vliegtuigen-voor-de-Duitsers.html Got this from another website (Aerodrome) and about half the posters say its very cool footage. The other half (like me) cannot see and/or watch them due to the format being used (Silverlight?) but from the still shots that someone posted from them it looks like quite the treasure trove of Fokker development and testing of all sorts of his aircraft. Good luck!
  7. Bletchley's Mission mods

I will admit to giving the number of "Lone Wolf" missions in 1918 a pause originally but the above thought process is right on the money in my book. At first glance, when customizing the Mission files months ago, I thought of "Lone Wolf" missions as kind of a "Albert Ball in 1916" kind of thing but the above reasoning is quite sound. Hmmm...I wonder what name I could change "Lone Wolf" to as to more accurately reflect the above plus ""Albert Ball in 1916" kind of things when the mood strikes. Again, nice work Bletchley! EDIT: Grammar...again
  8. "Optional Flight" in Briefing screen?

    Ahh...excellent. Thank you!
  9. You are quite the skinner Olham and, as always, your screen shots are most impressive! I have been finding the white tails on some of your skins are quite attractive. Never was a fan of white before.
  10. Saitek X52 Pro Flight Control System

Well, its on its way and will be here in time for next week which is vacation. Got it from Provantage.com which was the cheapest of the reliable dealers. Thanks to all for the input and help.
  11. Are you saying that, with effects set at "5" the damage was visible from a distance until you zoomed in and then it disappeared?
  12. And my last question for the night, before I get accused of spamming, is about the squadron roster, both German and Allied, as displayed in the "Duty Room." By count, for both sides, there are about 23 or 24 names listed for the squadrons. I think the Jasta's had about 10-12 pilots assigned and RAF fighter squadrons about 15 at full strength. Is this a CFS3 hangover as, I think, the numbers would be about right for a WW2 U.S. squadron at full strength? Would this be something that could be edited or would it screw a campaign up?
  13. Okay...maybe there are some things I'll just have to simulate. What are the keys again for "Fly Straight and Level"?
  14. Yes indeed Polovski - the developers of any game have a hard time pleasing anyone and everyone no doubt about it. That's what makes user mods the cats pajamas so to speak. Dialing your sim into your idea of realistic. Its a beautiful thing.
  15. It's crowded in here!

True dat! But that's what the Training Squadrons are for...send us some more Fresh Meat!
  16. I don't think anyone here, understanding .30 caliber round impacts and the construction of a typical WW1 A/C, really thought fragments, dust, pieces, whatever would be visible from the attacking A/C in almost all cases. In regards to #2 unless a control surface was shredded, spar, or wire, was hit I would not expect much loss in control. Holes in the fuselage fabric? Nah... Large sections of fabric, certainly from the wing area, would effect lift of course. Hence why I use your "Reduced Effects" effects.xml file! And the HPW Damage Mod!
  17. Do share! I seek full immersion!
  18. It's crowded in here!

Hehe...reminds me of one of my favorite movies..."Life of Brian" flashing back to your Monty Python thread. And thanks Polovski for the answer. Waiting for P4 has got me on pins and needles. I checked out a Pilot#Dossier.txt for an edit job and notice they don't reflect the numbers of names displayed in the "Duty Room." The numbers listed in the Pilot#Dossier.txt file are more "normal."
  19. Just got back from a flight (and fight) with 56 Squadron a little behind the British side of the lines. I am guessing not but is there any file that can be edited to shut down friendly flak when you are dog fighting the enemy? In "real life" friendly AA would, of course, shut down when the enemy A/C was engaged by friendly A/C.
  20. Not to disparage the author (or any author/WW1 pilot) but I think a little "sexing" up of things for publication may be inevitable based on recalled memories, inadvertent hindsight or, more probably in this case, suggestions from the book publisher to guarantee sales to make more money. This is not to take away from the book, which is great, or Lee himself (S! to him) but the "all red" Fokker Triplane is, to my knowledge, an error. I do not believe MvR had any red on any Triplane for some time after this. Also this particular Triplane was shot down mid-month in a fight with Naval 10 killing Kurt Wolff if memory serves. MvR was on medical leave. This is all by memory and I can dig my books out to confirm. I believe member JFM (MvR historian) can confirm this unless I am, in fact, all wet but this has been researched pretty extensively. Edit: Grammar...need more coffee.
  21. I think most historians feel that Lee's description of the Triplane being "all red" was added after the fact.
  22. RAF_Louvert what did you think of this book? I have glanced at it (part of your d/l book collection?) but never gave it a serious study based on Hall's reported reputation...at least per some authors. The rest are, of course, excellent reads except for Coppens and Lewis's books which I have yet to come across. Especially want to read "Sagittarius Rising" being a 56 Squadron slappy.
