  1. Something is tragically wrong

If you are used to MS flight sims and the terrain is top of your complaints list, then you should make a start by downloading alternatives here at Combat Ace in the Thirdwire downloads section. There are higher detail tiles and winter sets, and some will look familiar to you as I think they've been based on the MS ones.

  5. Nieuport 24

I've got an RFC 24bis just about ready to upload.
  6. Nieuport 24

I'm another who'd like a Lewis on the top wing, either as well as or instead of a single Vickers, for the RFC variant. How easily can it be done? Would the weapons editor be able to handle it?
  7. First Eagles and what I need to know

You certainly don't need to be any sort of expert - First Eagles is a lot of fun. As for a joystick, if you don't want to go all the way with separate rudder pedals, I'd suggest you look for one with a twist grip rudder. That will be useful for flying, but invaluable for taxi-ing if (or, rather when) you get bitten by the flight sim bug and start buying other sims.
  8. File Name: British Nieuport 11 and 17 serials File Submitter: dhasdell File Submitted: 26 Feb 2007 File Category: WW1 Aircraft British Nieuport serials These are sets of serials to replace the inaccurate plain ones on my RFC Nieuport 17 and RNAS Nieuport 11 skins, based on Monty_CZ's originals. Both sets are in the correct general range, and in the case of the RFC Nieuport 17 selecting an aircraft with no number or letter at the loadout screen stage will give B1566, which was Billy Bishop's aircraft. Thanks to Monty for permitting this upload, and to Serval at Simmerspaintshop for showing me how to do the outlines. Click here to download this file
