    2. As we fly our missions, constantly crossing over enemyairfields, we encounter airbourne formations, but never see a formation taking off to intercept the intruding formation.

      These are 2 "generic" spawns.

As the Player Formation approaches an airfield, it will cause a flight of 5 enemy aircraft to take off, seek and engage.

One for allied, and one for axis. Included is a readme which hopefully will make putting a takeoff spawn into your missions easy, and also explains how to modify the files to spawn whatever aircraft you want.

download file, and extract into a new folder.

the spawn and xml files in the root of the folder go into your cfsww1 over flanders fields\spawns folder.

the mission files inside the Mission folder can go into either your historical or training missions folders. As long as the spawn files are installed properly, the 2 test missons should work.

Use and distribute freely. No credits required.

Should you have any problems with the files, or have any questions, please pm or post.

    3. this skin is an attempt to depict FE2b 6994. it was while flying this machine that Captain Stephen Price (pilot) and 2nd Lt Frederick Libby (observer) made 5 (possibly 6) claims during August and September of 1916. this rendering is based on a photograph dated September 23rd (possibly the day after their final victory in this machine. although it's questionable whether that photo depicts this specific machine, there is "wiggle room" enough that I think this skin might be feasible. Frederick Libby became the first American ace in history while serving as an observer in this machine.

this skin is based on the stock FE2b skin with extensive (albeit poor) retouching that was done with Paint and the basic Microsoft Photo Editor bundled with Windows. if somebody else wants to improve the skin and post a better version later-- be my guest. this is as good as I'll probably get with the resources I have.

    4. this is a fictitious camouflage for the Fokker E.III that was created through cut-and-pasting and altering the stock Fokker skins from the game.

    5. A Fokker D.VII in what I believe is accurate pre-printed naval hex colors. For use with the Marineflieger squadrons.

Now includes text file with OBD credit for original skin.

    6. A DFW skin in the blue version of the naval 3-color hexagon camo, for use by Marinekorps Flandern. This isn't any specific plane, but the paint scheme is based on 1 interpretation of German naval colors. The bogus aircaft number 3841 is my signature. That was my ID number in the old DOS MMOFS Air Warrior and I kept it through the years in Warbirds and Aces High.

NOTE: Since making this skin, I have come to the conclusion that it's rather inaccurate in both colors and hex size. However, it looks cool so I decided to leave it up here for them as like it.

    7. After a lot more research, I totally re-did the paintjob of my naval DFW skin. Now it looks (I THINK) about as realistic as possible, per Dan-San Abbott's information. Hand-painted, symmetrical hexes in hopefully the right colors, and the correct colors on the fuselage and rudder.

But for those of you who prefer the apparently inaccurate "blue" version, it's still available here.

    8. A DFW with the Gotha night camo, kinda. For those who really like blue DFWs.

Now has text file with OBD credit for original skin.
