Schobinger joined Jasta 12 in August 1917 but only flew his triplane for a short time before he was badly wounded in the right foot on 15 November 1917 ending his air combat. He is credited with 8 victories.

Serial number unknown, but began flying with Jasta 13 in this aircraft in late January 1918 until he transferred to Jasta 19 on April 18,1918. He was credited with 4 victories while with Jasta 13, bringing his total to 22 before he was killed on August 11, 1918.
