Fw190A-6_pilot_HERMANN_GRAFF.zip
By dalaiLAMA
Tthis skin is made according to the historical pattern. With this plane flew Major Hermann von Graff in a training center in France in 1943. It also flew in combat operations against the allied bombers.
...As standard procedure, Luftwaffe commander Hermann Göring banned Graff from flying combat missions after the pilot had received the Knight's Cross with Diamonds. Early in 1943, Graff was assigned to France to head the Ergänzungs-Jagdgruppe Ost...
Installation is simple:
Extract the folder Fw190A-6_pilot_HERMANN_GRAFF.zip. The content of the folder you must copy it into your skins folder in your game IL-2 Sturmovik. You must copy these files into the skins:
Fw.19A-6_major_Graff_1943.bmp
Fw.19A-6_major_Graff_1943_generic.bmp
Fw.19A-6_major_Graff_1943_svastika.bmp
Fw.19A-6_major_Graff_blank.bmp
Skins folder location in your game is: IL-2 Sturmovik / PaintSchemes/Skins/Fw-190A-6
That's all, happy hunting ...

FW190d9 Red1 JV44 Wuerger Staffel
Pilot Lt Heinz Sachsenberg Fw 190D-9 'Rot 1'
Motto reads" Verkaaft's mei Gwand 'I foahr in himmel!"
(Sell my clothes I'm going to heaven)
Quote
Red 1 was one of the four or five Doras known to have been assigned to the Airfield Defence Staffel of Generalleutnant Adolph Galland's Jagdverband 44. The intended role of this small unit was to defend the airspace above JV 44's operational base during the take-off and landing of the Me 262 jets, when they were most vulnerable to Allied fighter attack. The extensive deployment of flak units around the airfield and its approaches necessitated the painting of the D-9s' undersides in a dark color (usually agreed to be red) with narrow white longitudinal stripes, such that they not be mistaken for Allied aircraft which regularly prowled the airfields.

Michalski flew together with von Maltzahn on the Eastern Front and in the air-battle of Malta where he shot down 26 British fighters. In June 1942 he was promoted as leader of II./JG 53. In 1944, Michalski became Geschwaderkommodore of JG 4 and participated, flying this "Dora 9", in the German retreat on the Eastern front until 1945.
