T-28D 1st Special Operations Wing 1969

Based at Hulbert Field in Florida,the 1st SOW replaced the 4400th Combat Crew Training Group in Apr 1962. They assumed air commando operations and training responsibility for the U.S. Air Force. With the use of the T-28D, they instructed United States and South Vietnamese Air Force aircrews in unconventional warfare, counter-insurgency, psychological warfare, and civic actions throughout the Southeast Asian conflict.
