About This File

Update:

I forgot to mention in readme there is optional "icky green" textures set in it's folder for those who find this shade of blue not to their taste. Matter of copying that one into main cockpit folder and overwriting

This is fairly detailed cockpit representing somewhat "generic" MiG-23 interceptor cockpit. Fits well or "close enought" MF ML MLD etc interceptors series 1 and series 2 of Floggers.

Build for and tested with Eburger68&Team Floggers Pack:

http://combatace.com/topic/66562-sf2-mig-23-mig-27-floggers-part-1/

and subsequent parts

By default pre-set for use in MLD variant, so feel free to adjust to your favourite Flogger of choice. Do not use at the moment in the ground attack versions as dedicated BN cockpit is in the works

Read the included readme for more informations.

Thank you Stary, it's great! So much realistic.

One comment - it seems that this cockpit is representative of the -M & -MF models, not the -MLD. However, all MiG-23 cockpits from -M and later models are very similar apart from a switch below the radarscope that was put on -ML and later (-MLA,-MLAE,-MLD,-P, -PD) models.

Stary, this is amazing!!!!!

But what is the trick? Is the radar background transparent except for the black lines? I suppose the radar is displayed only on those lines... but never mind, I will figure out later when I have the time to try out this fantastic cockpit!

Great work Stary, thank you very much!

Wonderful cockpit. All works.
But the sight panel can be removed and not working for fairly unnecessary overload sensor. (A vestige from the sight of the MiG-21)
Well, the black bars on the indicator sight when operating radar and thermal imager greatly interfere in the game. (A bad review for 12h)
Can something be done?

SaVaGe yes the black bars are the radar mesh (spliced into many a pieces) so we can fake HUD-projected ones as in soviet birds, so yes it does have it's limitations and sadly stress on eyes

As for this being NOT MLD, yes I am aware of that, that's why it is described as "generic" MiG-23/27 cockpit. Also I am not so sure if we can replicate the opeartions of the selector panel under the HUD in Thirdwire avionics, something to think about later

AFAIK tho I might be wrong MiG23M had a radar scope will we get a cockpit to represent it ?
